vShield 5.0.1 interoperability with trend Deep Security 8.0?

I found this KB that lists supported combos, but it has not been udpated to include the new vShield 5.0.1... and I can find no documentation of trend on the subject.

Does anyone know if trend DS 8.0 can be used with vShield 5.0.1?  TIA.

Hello:

Testing of vSphere 5.0 update 1 and vShield 5.01 was carried out as part of the next version of Deep Security 8.0 SP1. Our existing product has not any problems with the latest version of vSphere and vShield.

As indicated in the compatibility table, Deep Security SP1 will ensure one manager working with the two ESX / I 4.1 and 5.x ESXi. We are on target to release SP1 in early may, 2012.

Sincerely,

  • Trend deep security 9 Service Pack 1 upgrade problems - protected device blocks traffic host

    Hello

I started the process of Trend Micro Deep Security 9 update to Service Pack 1, but ran into a problem during this process.

Just like the information, I run VMware View VMs (virtual desktops) on these hosts.

After the upgrade of the DSM, relay and ESXi filter drivers, I then upgrade one of these devices to SP1. After that, each virtual desktop on the host related to SP1-Upgraded TDS unit is unable to communicate correctly with the server administrator display Horizon, client applications of sight and portal service of VMware View Blast. When I try to Ping (ICMP) the same VM, they respond very well.

I checked the ESXi firewall rules, they are as they should be (no specific restrictions on traffic Web or PCoIP ports etc.), and double-checked that deep in Trend Micro Security firewall policy is turned off.

Any ideas? I'm not trend-expert, I really have no idea where to start to fix this problem.

Update: A cold-restart of the device seems to have solved the problem. The main NETWORK card was stuck somehow and does not have a normal reboot.

  • The latest update of firefox is not compatible with trend micro security and people with disabilities, it's when I clicked on install. How to bring back my trend micro?

I downloaded a firefox security update. When I clicked on install (or apply), I was told it disabled my security from trend micro, and there is no version compatible with trend micro. He told me they keep control and let me know what is available. NOT GOOD. I paid a lot of money for my trend micro and want it to be functional. Help! I didn't click on finish. Does that mean the upgrade is not installed and that trend micro still works?

I seem to have fixed that by going to the site of Trend Micro and upgrade to the latest version of Trend Micro Titanium 2012 V5.0. It uninstalled the previous version on my computer and then install the latest version. Trend Micro is working now and I can browse with Firefox. The upgrade was free.

  • Trend Micro Security firewall blocks everything - Qosmio X 305

My qosmio x 305 comes with trend micro security software.
I hope I can ask this here I come from Europe and the United States.

Please feel free to direct me if necessary.
In any case, I had my computer for a month with no problems at all.

About two days, my firewall from sent me problems.
Be it on or off, couldn't access my account steam video game.
It wouldn't let me connect to their server, even if I had the internet connection.
Now I can not even go to www.yahoo.com, which in my experience is a firewall issue.

How can I go about fixing this? Thank you

    Hello

Of course, you can post it here in our little European forum Toshiba that even if you're the United States.

But the fact is that your question has nothing to do with Toshiba but with your 3rd party software: Trend Micro Security firewall

  • Preparation of deep security virtual ESXi Appliance

    Hello

I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask this question. But, I tried to install the Virtual Appliance of deep security, but when I try to prepare the ESXi in deep Security Manager (Deep Security Manager is a VM virtualized in my computer) I get the following error: "unable to download .zip bundle in offline mode. Ensure that the ESX Server can connect to XXXXXXXXX on port 4119. "I turned off the Windows Firewall on the virtual machine and the physical machine that hosts it. Someone has already worked with deep security? No idea how I can fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

You should also ensure that the ESX Server can communicate with the deep Security Manager. During the process of preparation, the DSM gives the vCenter a temporary URL for the filter driver. vCenter then passes this information to the ESX Server that is responsible for downloading the driver himself.

Ping the DSM of the ESX command line and see if you can get there by train.

  • VShield endpoint license - vSphere 5.0/5.1 - TrendMicro Deep Security

    Hello

as you probably know, the license of endpoint vShield is now includede in all editions of vSphere 5.1 and kits (besides essentials).

I am about to install Trend Micro deep Security on a vSphere installation 5.0. Now someone if you must upgrade to vSphere 5.1 to have vShield endpoint licenses available or if you can stay on 5.0?

My problem is that TrendMicro Deep Security 9.0 (which supports vSphere 5.1) is not yet published. Deep Security 8.0 doesn't support vSphere 5.1 - only vSphere 5.0.

    best regards

    Your safe,

I have an older version of vSphere. How can I get the endpoint feature?

All customers of vSphere 4.1 and 5.0 with active support contracts

  • TrendMicro Deep Security 8 with vCenter 4.1 / ESX4.1?

For reasons that we will continue to use the vCenter 4.1 / ESX(I) 4.1 environment for a while.

    My questions are:

    1. Can I use TrendMicro Deep Security 8 SP1 with vSphere 4.1, or what I have to use Deep Security 7.5? I noticed that I can use vShiled 5.0 with vSphere 4.1 (http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-us/1060131.aspx)
    2. If deep 8 SP1 Security is not possible and we must use Deep Security 7.5, can I manage and monitor physical systems with the Agent of trend in the same Deep Security Manager that I use for my virtual machines (agentless)?
    3. What features will be we lack using deep security 7.5 / vSphere 4.1 compared to Deep Security 8 / vSphere 5?

    Thank you

    Nelcon.

You can use Deep Security 8 with vCenter/ESx 4.1, but you must use vShield 5

ESX must be the patch 3 (build 702113) http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2019860

  • Firefox has issues with trend micro compatablility

When I downloaded Firefox 4 he told me she had some compatibility problems with some parts of Trend Micro. Trend Micro has been my security of choice for the past six years and I'm not change because she saw perform very well. There is apparently no patches for the two issues being a toolbar, and I do not remember the other. I would like to know if these two problems affect my safety.

Check the availability of an update for Firefox 4.0 with Trend Micro. If they are installing extensions in Firefox, it is for them to keep these compatible extensions Mozilla publishes new versions of Firefox. Really, you should postpone the upgrade to a new version of Firefox until you check with Trend Micro on this situation.

  • Deep security virtual appliance Micro trend and configuration HA

    Hello team,

A virtual appliance deplying step of deep security Trend Micro is to disable cluster HA... can you please explain what is the reason to turn it off?

If you run this step and try to reactivate the HA... vCenter will give you an error message that there is not enough vSphere HA failover resources.

    Thank you

    Mohammad

I don't want to turn off HA, I suggest that the power of the virtual machine on parameters being the default per HA, new virtual machine that does not meet the requirements of the HA does not fit the power on.

Right-click on the cluster > ClusterFeatures > HA vSphere > select Disable: 'allow the VM Power on operation that violate constraints of availability.

This could be a problem of vSphere?

Cannot be the problem of vSphere. But this is a feature of vSphere.

Someone can tell me if they executed him in their environment or not?

    It is difficult to answer.

I personally would say, no you don't need one.

    Only you can decide.

    Hello team,

I would like to have your base of knowledge up-to-date with the types of security options available in IEEE and security options supported on the NETGEAR router with detailed description. Even if they think it will I get any deducted after the publication of my article in your support portal.

  • "Windows services Centre" call by saying that I have a problem with my internal security system

    Hello

I received a phone call from 'Windows Service Centre', James Henderson, employee of 406-235-1159, phone number #7098 (Yes, that's an indication 406 and 416 - which is one of the reasons why I'm suspicious), but gave a speech in Mississauga (Ontario), saying that I have a problem with my internal security system and even if www.ammyy.com I need to talk to the technician to solve this problem. I do not trust him and hang up, but called the number, responded to the same person (as he had an Indian accent with a lisp in addition to this) and he said that Joseph and not James!
    Scam or what? Thank you

It is a scam! Who is becoming extremely common and was even on the news in some places. As long as you don't give them any personal information, you should be fine. Should they call once again, simply hang up.

See the recent thread below for more information; Shenan Stanley and the spirit of the messages contain very useful information:
