  You can use Deep Security 8 with vCenter/ESx 4.1, but you must use vShield 5

  Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

  Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
  launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
  reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

  You use the Windows Firewall, included in Windows Vista or the one provided with Trend Micro? If you have the two running, which may be the problem. You must use one or the other, but not both as just like with the Antivirus, you must have a firewall running at the same time. Otherwise, they can start to interfere between them.

  Windows Firewall blocks all incoming connections where you don't have an exception in the exceptions list, but let all outbound connections. If it detects a program tries to open a port to listen on, it will appear a box asking if you want to block connections incoming to this program or not.

But it did not work for the wireless. The wireless adapter is listed in the device and under network connections Manager (and activated). But he is no longer an option to detect wireless networks. I can only solve the problem by performing a restore of the system to an earlier time. This of course brings Trend Micro from the grave too.

  The thought of formatting the hard drive and starting over because of this bundled crapware is really unpleasant. I read the other messages on the Internet with exactly the same issue, but none have provided a solution. I was unable to find manual instructions to uninstall.   Hello. I encountered a similar problem on a Latitude E5420 client.

  When I ran the 'change' option (there is no 'uninstall' option) applet programs & features in the Panel, she gave me an error 1719 and mentioned that the installation service could not be accessed.

  I was able to uninstall it like this:

  Navigate to c:\program files (x 86) \trend micro\client server security agent

  Search for the file named ntrmv.exe (I'm not sure it was .exe because extensions were not visible).

  Right click on ntrmv and click on "Run as Administrator".

  I am about to install Trend Micro deep Security on a vSphere installation 5.0. Now someone if you must upgrade to vSphere 5.1 to have vShield endpoint licenses available or if you can stay on 5.0?

  My problem is that TrendMicro Deep Security 9.0 (which supports vSphere 5.1) is not yet published. Deep Security 8.0 doesn't support vSphere 5.1 - only vSphere 5.0.

Rang Dell and they sought to find an answer to the problem, but did everything they could. Still no answer to the problem after all. I have Windows Vista Home Basic as my operating system and installed Trend micro in the past with no problems. (Not sure if the following has nothing to do with it, but thought it might be useful a mention). I changed to Microsoft Office 2007, which has already been installed on my laptop for Office 2003, because I found it difficult from the laptop to the desktop and I didn't really want to pay for the upgrade of my office, if I didn't need it.
