  I have a rug * an optical drive installed in my SA30 and I always use DVD-R Datawrite discs. I used the high gray, yellow-top and, recently, the variants of red-top without any problem whatsoever.

  I can't comment on other formats (although I used the DVD - RW on the odd occasion) because my internal DVD burner will accept only the DVD-RAM and DVD-R formats.

  Moreover, the DVD-RAM format works well in my laptop but I found that it is not always supported by the software. Nero seems very happy with it, but the likes of DVDSHRINK don't even look.

  The A30 151 supports 2 slots of memory. You can use 2 sticks of memory in your laptop.
  Also I know the memory can be upgraded to 2 GB (2 x 1024 MB)
  Compatible modules indicated PC2100 PC2700 DDR - RAM.
  I've studied a bit and found that these modules are supported:
  PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
  PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
  1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)
  PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
  PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
  PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

  I'm not sure that the module costs but you can order the Toshiba ASP compatible modules in your country.

  Look like a total breakdown in communication between you and all that you talked to the inclusion of some guy from Delhi... Clearly, something is not that the colors should not be turned off because you added RAM. If something is certainly wrong. What is bad he had to decide. You lot get the problem.  If you remove the extra RAM are the correct color once more. If so suspect the ram. Is it the right kind of RAM. Was it install correctly.   You have a problem that you need bad turn to find out where is the problem.
