  I have a question on this model of Toshiba Satellite 3000 - x 4 PS301E - 000 K 8 - EN I took the chassis on this model today to do a repair for someone in my family work. When I took the VGA card, I discovered what looked like an another memory location.
  So my question is how many slots memory model there?

  I read online and I checked the profile page and they all point to this model with two memory locations.
  If this is the case then what is this thing that resembled a memory slot under the vga card?
  I had to buy another piece of RAM for this model today make three, but I decided on a little hand to check it out first.

  There are already two sticks of laptop memory already, 512 MB, and 128 MB. This model can take up to 1 GB.
  So, what do you think is there memory locations two or three on this model?

  As far as I know, this unit has 2 memory slots and 1 slot for PC card for 2 Type II cards or 1 Type III card.

  I have a 200 X and with it I got multiple digital media card slot. Enyone he used? I tried to insert the MS PRO Duo and it worked, but get out the map was a nightmare. I need to push way back in the computer before it is seated properly and drive appears in my computer. When I want to do it outside, I push the card and release him but the card remain two centimeters inside the computer and I really had a hard time to get out.

• HP EliteBook 8740w p/n VB744AV: Base model with only 2 RAM slots does not level up to 8 GB of RAM, 6 GB only?

  So I discovered that my laptop is a version of the basic model of the Elitebook 8740w so I'm missing 2 RAM slots. However, I went to upgrade my RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB the other day, and after ensuring all the RAM was split and firmly fixed my laptop would only flicker the lights indicating that my ports were dirty, RAM was split in correctly or I ordered the bad RAM sticks (which I didn't, I double checked). So I have of the 4 GB split into the slot of the RAM under the keyboard and replace one of the original 2 GB sticks in the other RAM more accessible location at the bottom of the computer. Laptop started fine. I'll try the RAM slot again later tonight when I get home from work, but if anyone has any experience with this issue, I'd love to hear corrections or explanations on what I can do wrong.

  I also want to note that I checked the specifications of the computer and it says that it should support the 8 GB of RAM or more. However I do not know if this is a generalization of the product since it usually comes with 4 vs slots of RAM upgrade only the 2 I have in my laptop.

  Quad Core versions have 4 RAM slots and Dual Core 2 slots. Max 32 gig and 16 gig respectively. Try the reslotting and let us know how it goes. 8 concerts must be OK, assuming that compatible. If the problem persists, please provide the manufacturer for both modules reference numbers.

  I bought an ExpressCard SSD Transcend 32 GB card and I want to use for the standard Linux instalation. The problem is that I have found a way to boot from ExpressCard.
  I tried to use it as a USB device, but it did not work... I am also enrolled in a problem with a USB tip that I work only for some live distributions (pendrivelinux.com source) but this isn't work with standard facilities.

  install linux on this disc and check the params from startup, make sure that the bootloader of your choice is properly installed on the removable media.
  It sometimes takes twist Boot params or code to start your operating system linux from removable media.
  If you install the 'linux' bootloader on your drive hard internal ensure that used startup code can start these devices.

  check the man of grub or lilo or use another like xosl or grub4win.

I thought I must have been within the date of the announcement of the program, because I can't remember that the announcement was formerly in spring 2013. This seems to be a minor difference with a major impact in my case because it cancels the responsibility of Apple for replacement of the product, despite my coming in 3 years.

  Apparently manager Mike thought so too and challenged me to the statement that, "if [I] came within 3 years of the date of publication of the EPR, [he] would accept and fix my phone. He went looking for information, went side and talked to technical personnel who had been helping me, came back and told me that all that he could offer me was a new phone to buy for $310. I reminded him that there was a recall of defective products made by Apple, not me and that I was simply returning the recalled product, but he pursued me talk about how, like devices, "sometimes people can get cancer", and in this case, it's just a rotten deal. He then asked me to "look in my soul" to make my own decision about what I felt I had to do with the options he presented as being available (i.e. "buy a new phone"). I'm totally serious on these remarks; I wrote our meeting down to keep facts straight people.

Out of curiosity, I went home and checked via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, when the announcement was made: APRIL 28!   Here is a video card that works in your motherboard and your price range.  The problem you have is to find one that will work with the existing 300W power supply unit (PSU).  Also, you can't go much lately because these video cards require UEFI in the motherboard rather than a standard BIOS.
