Want my touch screen to operate in Windows 8

I recently bought a bridge tap all in one computer (model #ZX4351).  I installed Windows 8 on it and now disabled the touchscreen in function.  Please help me understand what's going on so that I can have the touch works again, I don't want to take the Windows 8 back out of it.

Sincerely

Lady Laresa

Contact the manufacturer of the tactile device (bridge?) and ask them if this device is supported under Windows 8, and if so, where to get the drivers for it.

  • Disable the touch screen for a laptop Windows 8?

I have a Dell XPS L702x infamous Ghost by clicking on issues where the touch screen randomly 'clicks' on arbitrary areas of the screen (mine seems to be in the lower right corner, often minimize all my open windows or opening calendar) and through the upgrade to Windows 8, it seems a former N-Trig driver who disappeared I would disable the touch screen. Now, I have no way to disable the touch screen, and while Google suggested release "Use your finger as input device" under the pen and touch, I don't even have this available to UN-click box on!

So: How can I disable the touch screen on my laptop or y at - it a program that can do for me? I am indifferent in fact using the touchscreen - I'm more concerned with the ability to functionally use my laptop without sporadic clicks on my screen.
    Thank you.

I had the same problem with XPS 17 my wife.    I needed to restore basic functionality so that disabling the touch screen was acceptable.     However, unlike samie (but like you) I didn't "Use your finger as input" option in the control panel.

I tried to disable the device N-Trig driver in Device Manager, but the pilot did not appear to have be properly installed (after the upgrade from win7)

I went on the N-Trig (http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Downloads_Drivers) driver download site and download the new drivers for windows 8 (I have the feeling that they weren't here last week).

I then when options "Device Manager" on the "Hardware and Sound" page of the control panel.

In the Device Manager screen, I saw a node N-trig DuoSense digitizers with several below subnode (before dev driver install it there was only one).

I right mouse button on the element at the top, with a name that ends by "between the roots" and select "disable."

    This touch screen successfully disabled.

Pity to lose the touch screen, but my wife does not use it and I was in danger of my life, as it was.

I bought my laptop "Lenovo Flex 15' on a two weeks back.» The touch screen worked all fine until yesterday! It suddenly stopped working! I read all the possible articles relating to this and tried to fix it, but none of it works. Some cite the year that it is a bug on the power management in windows 8. Even if this did not help me.

    I tried the following:

    1. I have tried reinstalling windows 8 with a thorough cleaning, essentially a reset (he didn't want to try upgrading to windows 8.1 since all these users facing the same problem)

    2. device Manager > human interface devices > USB input device. In this, I disabled the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the power management tab. Also disabled "USB selective suspend" in the power settings.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) Touch screen replacement help

This past Christmas, I got a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 touchscreen. Recently, I took it to his laptop computer case to find that the screen was cracked. It was not a crack in the external display. If you run your fingers on the screen, it's smooth, but there are visible cracks and a section of the screen that the office does not appear, but only an odd mesh of white and black with some other colors included in the section. I looked up the screen replacements and I found a detailed description on YouTube showing how to replace the display in the Dell Inspiron 15 3521. He was a link in the description of spare parts. That would solve my problem, but I just have a question: my phone is a touch screen and I am not sure if the replacement screen is a touch screen. I want to be able to use my laptop up. If it includes the ability to touch, I want a touch screen replacement. I'll post a link to the site with spare parts. Please respond and tell me whether or not it is tactile. If this isn't the case, please leave a link to a screen touch screen replacement. Please help me on this. I'm the kind of person who will lose sleep if I can't be sure. Those who aren't touch screens - they are the standard LCD panels.

To change the Panel, you must replace the touchscreen glass and LCD as a unit:

This solution does not work for me because I don't have the option "Use your finger as input device."

Go to the sounds and then hardware and Control Panel.

Select the Pen and Touch and go to the contact tab.

At the top is "Use your finger as input device."  Uncheck the box.

Click apply and then click OK.

    Is there another solution?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your TouchSmart:

    1. Press Windows + X logo.
    2. Select Device Manager from the list.
    3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
    4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
    5. Right click and select disable from the list.
    6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.

  • Dell E 153FPT Touch Screen Monitor Windows 7 compatible

I recently bought a HP Pavilion P 6000 OS of Windows 7, 64 bit.  I wanted to plug a touch screen Dell monitor that I bought earlier.  The installation disc for the monitor to touch screen says that it is not compatible with Windows 7.  Y at - there a patch I can download for this compatible touchscreen on my new computer?  I went to the Dell website to find a driver download for this product, but they don't have driver for Windows XP.

Since the touch screen was made by Dell, you will have only the level of support they provide. HP and Microsoft is under the obligation to provide a driver for the monitor.  I took a look at the support website and I can confirm in fact that Windows XP is that the only supported operating system. Your screen touchscreen functions are not compatible with Windows 7.

    Best regards

  • HP Pavilion x 360 n014na: HP Pavilion x 360 n014na touch screen not working not not after installing Windows 8.1

Please help, I'm desperate.  I searched for weeks without any solution.  I have a HP Pavilion x 360 n014na, when I bought it I installed Linux immediately and have been using it this way without problem.

However, I decided that I wanted to go back to 8.1 for Windows as the main operating system.  I was not able to make a USB recovery in time when I bought the laptop, so I used a legal copy obtained directly from Microsoft.  It has detected my BIOS on the product key and activated correctly, all devices work.   Except the touchscreen unresponsive.

I went to the support page for my machine model, downloaded and updated all the drivers.  There is NO drivers for the touch screen.  I contacted Microsoft, the drivers are provided by HP and they have not.

I have seen that others complain and no resolution, just a pointer to a page for Windows 8 (not 8.1) with outdated information.  It is NOT a hardware problem.  It IS a driver problem, IE. There is no driver available anywhere.  I am not a novice, I have worked with computers professionally for decades.

Need help please, I just need a link to the driver, not a page with obsolete or non-applicable information.

No, no.  Having to purchase replacement media is not a solution.  I said I got a legal copy of the Microsoft Windows Installer, I have a product key integrated in the BIOS.  I won't spend more money for something that I own.

As it is a common complaint, here's what I did:

The solution was to check the HP drivers for I2C and GPIO are present and loaded correctly, he will be seen in the device under "Human Interface devices" Manager  They appear originally HID-compliant touch screen driver, get these right and the touchscreen should work after a reboot.  I had to install both times that something must have gone wrong the first time.

  • Windows 8.1 and touch screen monitor

Have a HP computer with Windows 7 ultimate that we will upgrade to Windows 8.1.  It is 32-bit.  A newly purchased touch screen would work with this computer?  It has display NVidia GeForce 8500 GT.

    Hello René,.

What is the number and the model of the touch screen that you want to buy?

If there are drivers available for Windows 8.1 from manufacturers, you shouldn't have problems connecting to the monitor.
Also check if the hardware is compatible to windows 8.1
