I want to install a Samsung SSD 1 TB.

    Thank you.

I've got the s50 - c, but I guess it would be similar. I removed my blanket because I wanted to see where all the components are and how it would be easy to remove one of them.

First of all, stop completely and then turn it over.
There are two screws that need to be taken to remove the battery, which is the long bar between the laptop hinges.
Then all you have to do is unscrew the 10 screws in the cover.
All you have to do is leverage up on the cover, then it must release. Easier I found was where you took off the battery voltage and the lever upward on either side of the laptop.

So yes, you got it right. The only consideration was going make sure to remove the battery, so there is not to be able to go through one of the components.

It seems that the hard drive is in the upper right (if the battery is facing you). I did not understand exactly how to remove it but... mine has the hybrid drive of 1 TB/8 GB. So mine may be protected differently than yours.

  • Flow 11: I want to download the installer of Windows 10 for my workflow

My 11 flow HP crashed and does not start.

I want to download the installer of Windows 10 in order to be able to boot and install from a USB key.

Can I download it from the HP site?

    IAN-VANCOUVER

    Yes, both...

How the MS download tool usually does is it checks that you have already installed when you run the download tool to make sure that you download the same version.

But since you have to use another PC to download, just be sure that you download the SAME VERSION of Win10 you have on the PC.

    Good luck

    Hello

You may have two configs using SSDS. The first is to get an SSD as Samsung 256 GB 2.5 "(j'ai eu sur mon Core i5/GT 650 M Dv6-7000) Pro and use it as a main boot drive in the hard drive Bay." The second is to have an mSATA (a bit more difficult to access as says Hüffer) SSD as boot drive (I just got one on a laptop of M6-1000) and keep the hard drive for data.

I prefer a pure SSD, but the way with mSATA as boot drive is also OK. However, there is no option in the BIOS to start from mSATA for the boot loader must be installed on the disk 2.5 "hard and the system on the mSATA one. I fear that, in both cases, you will need to perform a new installation, because strong readers are not as large as the original hard drives and recovery disks cannot work with them.

When I logout on my Macbook Air, Safari 9.1, my screen darkens, and there is a box that asks if I want to continue or cancel the installation.  But I can't click on one.  I have not tried to install anything for awhile.  Is this something I can fix it or what I have to visit the Apple store?

You may have installed one or more variants of the Trojan 'InstallMac '. Please take the following steps to disable.

The criminal behind this attack tries to make the malware difficult to remove by varying names of the files it installs. This procedure works now, I know. It will not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a couple of days or more after it was published should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.

Back up all data before proceeding.

1 triple - click on the line below on this page to select, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    ~/Library/LaunchAgents

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return. A folder named "LaunchAgents" opens.

Press command-2 key combination to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click on this title to sort the content by date. This will make the related files easy to identify regardless of their names, because they will have the same modification date.

2A inside of the folder that you just opened, there may be files with the name of all these forms:

    something. AppRemoval.plist

    Something.download.plist

    Something.ltvbit.plist

    Something.notification.plist

    Something.Update.plist

Here, something is usually an empty string of sense, for example one of the following:

    Epolife

    InstallMac

    Javeview

    Kuklorest

    Manroling

    Otwexplain

Here are examples, not a comprehensive list. The chain could be anything, and there might be more value of something. Looking for a group of files with the same date of change who match the description.

Lately, the striker of "InstallMac" a were quick strings 'AppRemoval', 'download', 'ltvbit' and 'update' in the names of its records. For example, you might see file names such as these, instead of the above:

    something. AppVemoral.plist

    Something.dolnwoad.plist

    Something.btvlit.plist

    Something.uadpte.plist

You may have more than one copy of the malware, with different values of something.

Place all of these in the trash. If there are other files whose name begins with something, those in the trash also move. You can get a caveat that some files are locked; Delete them anyway.

Once you've done that, we may not have anything left in the LaunchAgents folder; in this case, you can remove the folder, but otherwise does not delete it. Other files in the folder are not necessarily malicious (though they may be, if you have also installed another type of malware).

Log off or restart the computer. The Trojan horse should now be inactive.

    3. This step is optional. Open the folder as in step 1:

    ~/Library/Application Support

and move it to the trash of the subfolders with the name, something you found in step 2.

Do not move the Application Support folder or anything else inside.

    4. open the Applications folder. If there is an element named something, or "Hell Zip", or with any of the other names listed in step 2, then drag it to the trash.

If in doubt, press option-command-4 key combination to get the apps by date added. Look at the apps that have been added since you first noticed the problem. If there is one, that you don't recognize, drag it to the trash.

You can get an alert that the item is locked. Confirm that you want to move to the trash.

    Empty the trash.

If you receive an alert that the application is running, force it to quit.

    5. from the Safari menu bar, select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ Extensions

Uninstall all extensions, you don't know that you need. When in doubt, remove all of them. None is required for normal operation. Do the equivalent with Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use one of the people.

If the window does not open, restart the computer in safe mode. Some caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.

    6. replace the search engine and home page in each of your browsers, if either has been changed. In Safari, first load the desired home page, then select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ General

    and click on

  • Satellite Installation SSD Pro R50-B-122

I have a R50-B-122 and BX100 Crucial 256 GB SSD I want to ride. Crucial to say that this SSD is compatible: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compat...-pro-r50-b-122

My first attempt was to mount the SSD drive and install Windows 8.1 from scratch, but I get the 'no hard drive was found. Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage. "error, which is also stated in this thread: https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...missing-driver

I tried to burn a CD with the Intel storage drivers on it and the drivers get used when you try to install, but it does not always help to detect the drive. I've already updated the BIOS of the laptop, and the SSD firmware, I tried all combinations of parameters relevant BIOS - read elsewhere it looks that the reader must be set to battery saving mode and CSM.

My next test was to clone the HDD to the SSD which I did using Paragon Backup. I was able to start my cloned PC's SSD desktop computer so I know that it went well, but still no detection in the laptop.

It seems that the BIOS is not able to detect the SSD. Any ideas on what we can do? This laptop would greatly benefit from an SSD, and I'm not sure I can deal with the speed of the 5400 RPM HARD drive.

It seems that the BIOS is not able to detect the SSD.

The SSD drive is listed in the first page of the BIOS? In the event that the BIOS would recognize the SSD correctly, you should see name/size of the SSD drive on the first page.
If it is not listed, the SSD it has not been recognised by the BIOS... why? I guess because of compatibility issues...
In this case, I have no other recommendation for you to use another disk SSD...

    You do very well, Madam.

Done, I have a very similar laptop, the Zbook 15 G3 and mine came with just a hard drive and I have since added an SSD and a WSSD m2 as well as a video card so I am familiar with what you can do and how you should proceed.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See the diagram on page 41. The dark rectangular thing is a hard drive 2.5 inch or a solid state, interface SATA drive and the thinnest thing rectangular to the left of the one with the image showing how to turn the screw on it imposed is the smallest HDD type m2:

Your laptop takes the variety M.2 WSSD SATA drive or card PCi - e (NVME) friendly. On that, everything you think is quick (SATA) and more rapid (NVME). The two options of Sandisk that inquire therefore represent examples of the greatest thing dark or the smallest disk. If you replace the smaller disk, you will have to reload the software above. If you simply add one disk 2.5 inch you can just stick in there and use it to store and move your documents, photos, etc. on him. This is the setup I have. My OS is on a 256 m2 NVME concert and then I have an inch of 500 gig 2.5 SATA SSD for storage. A lot for me, but you feel that you need 1 TB.

So, go, if your adding a 2.5 inch drive is HP you provided with the mounting hardware you need to install the player. Given that my laptop came with a 2.5-inch disk, he understood that the material. Given that you did not include a 2.5 drive inches maybe yours has not.

So, if you can clarify what you want to do. If the reinstallation of the software is something you certainly want to just add a record 2.5 inches.

  • Installation SSD

    Hello

My apologies if what follows has already been answered before.

I'll be unboxing a new T440s this week, and I want to install an SSD in your laptop and install Windows on the SSD drive rather than on the HARD drive.

I have some questions about that.

    1. is this the right guide for installing the SSD? http://download.Lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/PC/pccbbs/options/hdd_ssd_setupposter_0c37230.PDF

Looking at this chart, it seems that I have to remove the HARD drive completely and put the SSD instead. Is it not possible to have the SSD and HARD drive in the laptop?

    2. I suspect that Windows is preinstalled on the HARD drive. Can anyone confirm this?

If it is preinstalled, what is the best way to install Windows on the SSD instead?

What many people do is to install a MyDigitalSSD (currently available as big as 128 MB) in the m2 slot. It's something I will do eventually as well, as I want to run Linux off of it, while keeping Windows on the main drive. I could also eventually replace the mechanical drive, maybe if and when any Samsung Pro gets sorted; I see that someone had luck running an earlier version of the firmware, so I guess there is hope. In your case, you can install the operating system in the m2 drive and keep all your data, music, etc. on the mechanical drive as you want.

    Win7-64

I hit a light wall and need some help running around it.  Is it possible to use a Win7-64 OEM DVD to reinstall the OS and use the key from HP?

I managed to botch semi a Norton "Ghost" of the Toshiba HDD (always in 'original' home State) to an Agility3 OCZ 60 GB SSD.   Be smart (and lazy), instead to work through it, I thought an OS quick install and the update and updated drivers today is the way faster, cleaner.

Not sure that the Agility3 is on the white list, anyway.  And I am not sure that the Protocol can be with the original HARD disk.  Is it a problem with the maintenance of the original 'install' on an external drive?

    Not that I really need...

    Hello:

    You can of course.

Sometimes the image is too large for the SSD and you cannot use the recovery disks.

You can also burn your own Windows 7 DVD from the official MS ISO download of the files at the link below.

You burn as an ISO image, while the DVD is bootable. You can also use the MS USB flash drive installation tool and use these files and install W7 from a USB (4 GB +).  Ideal for notebooks without DVD drives.
