Want to m6: slow start and continuous charging

I've been running Windows 10 during approximately 8 months and a few times it might start slowly. It has never been a huge problem until today. Today when I started my laptop startup has been slow but allowed me to identify (slowly) and as my office has tried to load just stops. My background appears as well as the start (which aren't accessible) bar but no icons and my cursor has the blue loading circle. I turned off and restarted several times and a couple tries the icons appeared however it stops and I'm stuck with continuous blue loading cursor. How can I fix this?

Hello Zach,

Replace the drive of your laptop is quite simple.

The player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

750 GB hard drive for laptop.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 42 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

Reinstall Windows 10 on the new drive, as long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after upgrade from 8.1, you can just perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I have not a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • Very slow start and run for Dell Inspiron 6400 XP times

"I have a problem with an Inspiron 6400 brought to ' horribly slow start and run time.  XP Pro 32 bit SP3 patched up to date.  Cleaned up a lot of "undesirable", as the partially uninstalled programs, cleaned the files temporary etc. with CCleaner, cleaned and optimized the registry afer all the cleaning has been done, defragmented, tried to start without any of the boot files, disabled all unnecessary services and uninstalled virus checking software, (but ran several anti-virus controls) etc. - no help.   Safe Start Mode is faster, but... not at all normal - 1 1/2 minutes of screen to logon instead of close to 3 minutes.  A lot of memory (2 GB), which rises to 600 to 700 MB runnng all the stuff I've tried.  Hard drive is 1/3 used out of 120 GB with a 2 GB swap file.

One thing I'm still scratching my head over - beyond the horribly slow boot - is very slow access to files even though everything seems to work normally, but as molasses in January.  Looking at the performance of the Task Manager tab when I run a copy of a file (whether via a cmd window or with Windows Explorer), I see a near max processor would be and the other with a small business.  Even if the customer says he had been getting worse for some time, after checking and cleaning of all things 'normal', my next thought was perhaps a bad disk or disk controller driver, but chkdsk ran very well (although it took hours) even if I ' d I have already updated all drivers (and even the DVD firmware and BIOS) on the Dell web site.  Oh, and I ran Dell Diagnostics (from bootable CD) updates all with no errors found.  And access to the slow file even with symptoms had max-processor occur with a copy of the file on a USB key that seems to eliminiate the hard disk, the disk controller and the pilot.

The other interesting part of the display for a file copy task manager is that the processes tab simply shows System Idle 97 to 99%, with a percentage of casual for other processes as Explorer while I see 1 max out procesor on the performance tab.  That the same copy on your desktop shows 3-4% of the CPU usage and who is with active antivirus software.  I'm almost ready to fall toward a Windows reinstall, but would like to find the real reason behind this problem of puzzle...

It of almost as if he's using PIO instead of DMA disk access, but... don't know how/where to test this.

    Look at:
    and

Solved!   Thanks for the links, especially to each other.  An old but still a goodie!

For those who have enquring spirits (and anyone else who stumbles across this thread), the primary IDE controller has been set to PIO and locked it.  Who would have thought that Windows slowly reduced the transfer speed, whenever he saw 6 errors on an IDE device until it has been reduced to PIO and then he locked it?  But the procedures described in the link of winhlp.com showed how to solve the problem.

There are actually several problems that led to the final symptoms.  According to KB817472, the Atapi.sys has been improved in XP SP2 only degrade the speed of transfer on 6 consecutive errors instead of 6 cumulative errors.  And even though everything I have (Microsoft update) was seen and showed that this area was to SP3, I found that the driver for the controller layer IDE was the SP2 version.  Someone ran sfc previously perhaps?

Oh, and I know now that the Task Manager process tab does not time processor kernal, but the performance tab.  Good to know...

Thanks again to all who have responded.  Starting at the time of connection-question now is 40 seconds.   You'll love Untra DMA mode 5.   There is still a lingering question in my mind, since I've had the same symptoms of slow copy of a file on a flash drive.  Perhaps a link in some way to the way that Windows treats a flashdrive as a "drive"...

  • 10.11.4 slow start and performance.

Update caused 10.11.4 my iMac (27-inch, mid 2011) no start, after checking with an external start HD found no system errors, flawless HD, no failure of memory. Finally managed to boot into recovery and do an Internet re - install.

Now I can't boot how whether it's very very slow, at least 10 Minutes, then well that just doesn't seem seem to work it is horribly slow. I was hoping it was indexing, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The question seems to be double, very slow startup and very slow performance. The external HD boot was 10.11.3 and seemed to be doing OK, so I have to assume that the question is 10.11.4 as everything else has been validated. All the usual things were made, PRAM, permissions etc.

At this point I have nowhere to go. BTW, took me 15 minutes to get into this brief overview.

I had problems with Bluetooth, you see only not my speaker MegaBoom and Photo Booth says "No. Camera connected... so I has the following guidelines.

Downloaded and installed Mac OS 10.11.4 from scratch

    Then I reset the SMP:

Reset the SMC on Mac desktops

Follow these steps for iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro and Xserve.

    1. Stop the Mac.
    2. Unplug the power cord.
    3. Wait 15 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power cord.
    5. Wait 5 seconds, then press the power button to turn on the Mac.

Reset the SMC a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro retina or the MacBook Pro with an internal non-removable battery

This is how to reset the SMC on most modern Mac laptops, which none have a removable battery:

    1. Stop your MacBook Air / MacBook Pro
    2. Plug the power adapter to the Mac
    3. On the MacBook / Pro keyboard, hold down the command + Option + shift and the power button at the same time
    4. All the keys and the power button of output at the same time - the little light on the MagSafe adapter can change colors briefly to indicate that the MSC has reset
    5. Start your Mac as usual

Keep in mind that by resetting the SMC you lose specific power settings, like the time he takes sleep a Mac and other customizations to the power settings. Not much, but if you have made many changes to your behavior of material you want to address things like behavior of sleep again.

Boot time after resetting a SMC machines can be a little longer that usual, it's normal.

Stop and start again, and this fixed everything for me...

So I m using 80 GB hdd2 in each total of 160 GB disk...
I m using now 72 GB in a HARD drive and 10 GB on the other. So much free space in a single disc, but the laptop is too slow start about 3 min.

I t n planning restore and clean the system of all the
Any advice? Gather the HDD0 and space of two disks will be more fast laptop?

It s 2 GHz speed and 2 GB memory.
    Thank you

    Hey Buddy

You slow startup and startup has nothing to do with the HARD drive space.
Your laptop could start slowly, due to a large amount of processes that run in the context of the operating system!

What you could do, is first the msconfig and disable unnecessary applications in the Startup tab.

Use some applications cleaning CCLeaner (tool free) i.e. to clean the operating system and the registry. Last but least could not defragment the HARD disk to improve performance.

  • Satellite M30-704 slow start and IDE #2 0203 failure message after replace it

    Hello

    two problems:
first after replacing the cd/dvd drive, my computer does not start now automatically and displays a "IDE #2 0203 failure" message. I can start then it but all of that takes time?

second problem: until I can access any program, a message will appear: "apdproxy.exe - Application error - the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006)" appears twice before so I can continue and then the computer is very slow.

Can anyone offer solutions? (ps - these two problems are not related that they occurred the month apart).

    Thank you, Gardiner

(1.) I would say that the BIOS can't handle the new drive correctly because wrong settings master/slave/c-salt but he s strange the player is running.
I think you should check in the Device Manager, the primary and secondary IDE channels.
The transfer mode must be on DMA if available and the type of automatic detection device

2.), it seems the ' apdproxy.exe is a part of the Adobe Photoshop or a similar application.
This software may cause an error. So just try reinstalling this program

  • Satellite Pro A300-28R: slow start and freeze on Internet Explorer

I recently bought a Satellite Pro A300-28R and I'm very disappointed with the performance.
    (1) from the card, it looks like a decent laptop, but with the start time of 3 minutes, 'Please wait' it's probably not impress me considering the fact that I have nothing installed yet...

    (2) I will try to uninstall applications like tempro, but still I am intrigued by the slow response on the internet pages.
For example when I go on google and start typing something more time, the cursor freezes and I have to wait a few seconds before I'm able to see what I'm typing.
I only bought it last Friday, and I have not used a lot, but probably a bit disappointing so far.
Any ideas why the cursor freezes on google or on the toolbar internet explorer?

FYI, I use Vista Business OS and Internet explore

    any help welcome

    > 1) card, it looks like a decent laptop, but with the start time of 3 minutes, 'please wait' is surely not impress me considering the fact that I have nothing installed yet...

I'll tell you how to reduce the startup time of your laptop.
I think you are using Vista and the Tempro should be installed too
You have two options: either you would update the Tempro or remove the system. Both should help make the Mobile QuickStart.

(> 2) I'll try to uninstall applications like tempro, but still I am intrigued by the slow response on the internet pages.
For example when I go on google and start typing something more time, the cursor freezes and I have to wait a few seconds before I'm able to see what I'm typing.
You should update right Vista in the current state, and should also check if certain unnecessary processes running in the background.
You can do this by using the msconfig.

In addition, you should check if your antivirus software does not slow down the system.

Just a tip; I m using the free software Antivir. It of free and it s really nice, it doesn't have a lot of material resources.

  • Speech recognition will not start and continue to run

I am running vista 32-bit Home Premium edition. I finished the speech recognition session setting the microphone. I finished the tutorial.  However, no voice recognition program continues to run. When I run the program of recognition (or when it is started automatically to the 'start-up', it starts to run and then goes into "Sleep" mode for a few seconds and then on 'Off'.  The second time, I start speech recognition he will say 'Start speech recognition' and then go directly to 'Off '.  When I click on the microphone icon in an effort to implement the program "On", I get an error of speech recognition that says "Please restart speech recognition. It is said in the body of the error message "speech recognition has encountered an error. Please restart speech recognition to ensure that you can continue to use the speech recognition".   When I restart speech recognition error repeats.

Although the speech recognition tutorial seemed to work, the real speech recognition program doesn't have.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Thank you.

    Hello Dirleton,

Thank you for your message.  For testing purposes, could you try creating a new account on your computer?  The process is described below:
    * make sure that you logged in with an administrator account *.
    1. click on the 'Start' button > right click on 'Computer' > select 'manage '.
    2. click on the arrow pointing down next to "local users and groups.
    3. highlight "users."
    4. in the right pane, right click and select 'New user' (enter information, then select OK)
    5. now right click on the new user and select "Properties".
    6. Select the "Member" tab and click on 'Add '.
    7. in the box type 'Administrators' and click on "check name".
    8. click on OK
Then log off your computer and connect again the new account.  Test the speech recognition, this will rule out a problem of profile corruption.  We can then troubleshoot further.
Please let us know if this or don't help solve the problem.

    Sorry for my English.

It is a response to B.S. scripted. I have a similar problem with my 17r2. The fault lies with the BIOS paralyzed/neutered who wrote for these machines. Dell, in its infinite wisdom, decided that blocking or hiding it almost all functions of the BIOS was a good idea. This led to a BIOS that is in force, broken, due to this being completely massacred. Release an unfixed BIOS and I am betting that 99% of the issues users face go away overnight. Dell, are you listening? Hi all

I have a Satellite L300, who treated me well - but more 2 months ago really slow and freezes quite often. I have anti virus, spybot etc and come up with nothing.

Last night I tried to reformat the system by pressing 0 did not work so tried with F8 which I would like to make a longer scan but no reformatting. I am now very happy that I failed to do the reformat because I bought windows 7 after the initial purchase of the laptop.

Any ideas anyone - or any person with same/simular problems?

    Hey,.

This means that you have installed right now and not preinstalled version of Windows Windows 7?

Well, in this case HARD drive recovery option is no longer available. You can do it on preinstalled only Windows.

To format your laptop, you need Toshiba recovery disc.
    Did you create it?

Hi I'm not a wiz kid so any help would be helpful thanks

It is very difficult to try to help you with so little information, but one of the first things that you should consider in these circumstances is that you can be infected by the malware. What anti-virus program and what anti-spyware program you are running? If they are updated?

For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you are willing to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (do not run more than one) of the following three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program like Microsoft Security Essentials, with anti-spyware feature integrated into it). I recommend that you download and install MalwareBytes AntiMalware (freeware)

    Hi JKEIIT96,

    Follow the steps below:

    Step 1:

Create a new user account and check if the problem is recurring in the newly created account.

    Step 2:

If the problem does not persist in the new user account, it could indicate that your old user account is corrupted.
