Was it a ligitimate Microsoft call?

This morning we received a phone call (number private private name), the person identified himself as working for Microsoft and Microsoft has identified my computer as having had reports of errors and that he would help eliminate error report messages. I told her I was uncomfortable to discuss my problems from computer to phone. I asked 786-752-3149-1-877898-4236 telephone number. I ended the call. Was it a call from Microsoft?

Nope. It is certainly not a call from Microsoft. Microsoft will not call you unless you start the process. You can open a support ticket, and they can call you back. But they will not just randomly call people who have problems. It's a known recent scam.
