Watchdog AVG blocked my laptop to begin what I do

Original title: avg watchdog

Hello

·          What happens when you start the computer normally?

·          You receive an error message?

·          When the issue started?

Step 1: Check to see if the problem exists in Mode without failure.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in Mode without failure, then try to clean boot.  You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

  • Satellite Pro L500 - press Fn key blocks the laptop computer to blue screen

    Hi all
    First post so please ask if I did not include all the necessary information.

    I have the Satellite Pro L500-1TX (Win 7 32 bit os) and everything worked fine including the Fn menu drop-down button.

    Now, whenever I press the Fn key, it blocks the laptop to a blue screen. The computer then restarts automatically and that it was an unplanned shutdown offers the usual safe mode option.

    Unfortunately, I do not know when this started as I do not use the fn often hesitate so just do a system restore. I don't know how far back to go. It was several weeks before I associated accidents hit the Fn key.

    Any suggestions as to which Toshiba drivers may need to be reinstalled. The computer otherwise works fine.

    Cheers in advance

  • How can I get my laptop to start correctly?

    Recently, I started having trouble with the download of Windows 8.1 to 10 after that my laptop (Asus s200e) was sent to repair a year ago.

    Even without the necessary update my phone played very well, but soon he began to increase his start time and then it started to freeze whenever I opened applications such as Microsoft word, while the other was opened. A few days ago I turned on my laptop, it said 'prepare auto repair' and took me to a blue screen named "recovery" and below, he says "your PC could not start properly an IO error occurred, error 0xc00000e9 code.» He then listed the opportunity to try to start again or go to start settings. After constantly supported on enter to try to start again, I searched online for methods that I could do to get my laptop starts properly.

    Although most of the methods I've seen required me to have access to my login screen:

    One of the options I received was "activate safe mode" which took me to a blue screen that says «code error 0xc000021a.» The other option was to "activate the mode safe mode with command prompt" which just brought me back to my home screen. I waited for about two hours and without seeing a change, I turned off my laptop.

    I just wanted to know if there were other ways to get my laptop to start correctly

    The problem is with your Internet Explorer (IE11).

    Now try IE11 uninstalling and reinstalling IE9.

    In order to uninstall IE11 you should go to the Windows Control Panel-> programs and features-> view installed updates-> Microsoft Windows-> Internet Explorer 11.

  • What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were delete

    What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were deleted songs?  I always manually move files to prevent this.  I'm on Windows 10.

    Has no way to know that...

    If your library iTunes music fits on the storage space of 160 GB of your iPod classic, you just set to automatically sync your entire library of music.  Then, it won't matter which has been removed and which do not get deleted, because your iPod music library is the same as your library iTunes music.  And iTunes it keeps this way, every time your iPod connection (or click sync , if already connected).

    If you don't want "everything" in your iTunes library on your iPod (understandable), you can create a playlist in your iTunes library with all the songs you want on the iPod.  Then, set to automatically synchronize the playlist to iPod.  Instead of manually managing iPod, you manually manage playlist in your iTunes library.  The iPod has no need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes will update the iPod with the same changes.  The big advantage is, if something happens like what you describe, or needs to restore iPod (erased) or even if break you your iPod (and get a new), need you a few mouse clicks to solve the problem.  Just set it up to sync the same playlist once again, which exists in your library iTunes (not only on the iPod).

    You can post back for more information about how to use automatic synchronization to do what you want more easily, go ahead.

    My laptop just starts correctly.  It turns on and just asked me to choose one of two options to restart Windows, which does not produce anything other than, at best, the bar of Microsoft and the bottom of the screen, or, at worst, a black screen.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
    Hello
    Strange thing, when I start windows xp, the windows on the slider blocks
    I have seen that it is the graphics driver that gives the problem
    I have restore dvd toshiba with the same problem.
    I was on the site to download the latest driver maybe again the same problem
    I went to AMD for another driver, again the same problem.
    The only rider agreed to work is the driver of windows, but the quality is not top (max resolution 1024-768)
    In safe mode no locking
    I also upgraded the Bios without result (and I don "t want to replace the motherboard)
    An idea for the other driver for better work
    Thanks for any help
    Hi mate
    It is difficult to say what issue it could be
    You said that the graphics card a few worries and the laptop does not event after using the Toshiba recovery.
    That s weird. This means that there is something wrong with the hardware in your case perhaps the problem of graphics chip :(
    But without a hardware test it is really not easy to say what part has been affected.
    I think you should contact the technician ASP pourrait test the laptop, check the motherboard and might be able to provide more details
    Then you could decide what to do
    Hi Ben,
    I think you have misunderstood Sylvain response earlier. I think Sylvain said that Toshiba provides no technical support for the AVG anti-virus product. I think AVG is working perfectly fine on Toshiba notebooks as well as many other antivirus programs.
    I'm sorry but I don't understand the comment on NOD32! I couldn't see any reference to this post by Sylvain at all.
    It is always nice to know that people read these comments and are willing to question their. It helps users of the forum to give clear advice and assistance.
    Sorry but if the BIOS chip is damaged there is not a lot, you can do about it. You must contact the Toshiba authorized service provider.
Is it possible to recover windows startup logo
    Hello
    Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!
    I see that you have had problems with HP recovery and finally you have your own version of Windows installed. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. If that's the case, then, you can't have the HP logo - it appears because it is part of the image of HP.
    If it is very important to you, you must use HP recovery media to restore the computer as long as factory default. Please, let me know and I can provide you with additional steps.
  • CyberLink YouCam 5 settings blocked my laptop
    Just bought a new laptop from HP ENVY m6. CyberLink YouCam 5 pre-installed cam. I can open the software and it seems to work fine, but when I try to access the settings of the computer freezes and crashes. I end up having to hold down the power button to force a shutdown.
    Any ideas?
    Freddie
    Hello FreddiePhuzz,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand that the YouCam software freezes on your laptop.
    It would be useful to know what product and the operating system you are using. For more information on the search for your model and product numbers, click here: How can I find my model number or product number? What version of Windows you are using, click here: Windows operating system am I running?
    It can help to update the software. You can download the latest patches here: YouCam software - update
    It would also be useful if you could open event (type eventvwr in the search to start) Viewer, select the Windows logs in the left column and selected Applications. In this list, find the critical errors that say the crash of the Application or Application Hang and reference your YouCam software. Send the contents of the general tab in your response.
    I look forward to your reply!
    Hi Bobby
    You are welcome.
    Do you mean you see the HP logo or the Windows loading screen screen every time when you start every time?
    I get that you can do successfully to restore the system to a previous point of good?
    Now given that the HARD drive had failed, I suggest that you change the automatic update of Windows from the control panel to "Automatically check for updates but let you choose to download and install them or Not" next time after you do a restore. Be sure to restore point it toa at least 48 hours before the problem started.
