  First of all, maybe, that's my problem. My experiement is below.

  I have a resistance level of shunt.001 http://www.rc-electronics-usa.com/current-shunt.html ohm (series)

  In my first experiement, I had the device (powered by 3, 3V CR232) with the current shunt close the low side of the battery, terminals attached to AL0(+-)

  The dynamic range of the measurement was set at 800nA to 10uA

  I then see millavolt noise on the weather of the line that the shunt is not connected or not, basically no data.

  I then tried with 1.5Kohm resistance pulling on lines AL0(+-) to a GND contact on the 6009. Same result.

  Then, I took a laboratory known to 5V power supply and attached a resistance in series with the shunt 1.5Kohm. AL0(+-) through the shunt.

  I figured I'd see 3.33... AU on shunt in this configuration, but the saw just le.300 mV ripple on the line which is a much higher current than it should be.

  Recommendations on the conduct of these small current measruments? I think buying a TI SOIC or someone might be a good solution / or just a simple old op amp for this tension.

  I know that there are amps op there specifically for the current shunts.  I'm sure that TI has good as well as Analog Devices.

• How to measure the difference in time between the passage by zero of a sine wave and the rise time of a pulse on a same graphic?

  I have a sine wave of 50 Hz and a pulse of the signal on the same chart. The difference in phase between the two is between 0-90 degrees.

  Now I need to calculate the time difference between (when the sinusoidal wave passes through zero volts) and (when the pulse increases). The frequency will remain about even for the two signals.

  The request is for a three-phase generator. In simple terms, when the difference in time between the passage to zero of the sine wave and pulse increases increases, it means that the load on the generator has increased.

  I am a novice user of LabView (version 9, 2009), maybe it's a very simple problem but I was pulling on my hair for the past few days and couldn't understand anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I use DAQ USB-6008 to measure these tensions and the impulse of the generator and a sensor

  For problems of this kind I recommend start writing the granular steps you would take to manually fix this problem.  You can't say LabVIEW (or any programming language) If you can't succinctly describe the solution to your problem.

  The I want to address this problem is to:

  1. find all the zero crossing points and edges on the rise
  2. for every rising edge find the difference between the timestamp and previous passage by zero

  You should be shooting raw full.  If you insist on shooting jpg then use the large setting.  Hard drives and SD cards are cheap, there is no reason on the shooting of small resolutions unless you're some kind of photojournalist in Afghanistan to download the shots through your phone via modem 56 k.

  Everything you do is limit your ability to validate the process.  Even if you don't mess you with RAW right now, simply use a software like lightroom to autoconvert RAW to jpg when loading.  You never know on the road if you want to try to fix up an old photo.  Most of us who have been filming for quite awhile can tell you about some sets of photos from a trip somewhere that were shot in jpg and we would give anything to make them in RAW.

• Strange intermittent problem with macbook pro

  Hey there ppl.

  So, I have a Macbook Pro (15-inch, mid-2014, retina), processor i7 2.2 GHz, 16 GB of memory. Running OS X El Capitan.

  My problem is a strange, because it is only intermittently. ID say like 10-15% of the time. But its very frustrating and annoying when it does and because I am working on my computer (poker), it's also costing me. in any case, the problem usually occurs after I've been using the computer for 1, 5-3 hours or more. Usually ill be playing poker online, listen to spotify and use of the internet for stuff randomly. Everything will be fine and then suddenly ill notice that my mouse cursor will be suddenly shot through the screen occasionally. as ill be goes well with the cursor but it'll jump to the left, a couple of inches or more. Also bad note that some of my habit of 'clicks' record, so ill use the calculator for example and badly want to press 543 and maybe 5 records, but when I go to click on the 4 it does not work, and ill have to like wait a second, then click New to register the click.

  Also, if im typing something, as in poker, I have sometimes to take note of the way in which an opponent has played a helping hand or whatever, a letter or a space press custom register, so ill be typing a phrase and the space bar is and I'll have to press the key once the couple , then a letter will not register, etc.. Sound very disorienting and made it difficult to continue the task IM because it does not smoothly because of the LAG, unregistered, mouse jumping, etc.

  IM really not sure of what the root of the problem and what it is. Ive has run the malware anti-malware bytes, but that has not solved the problem. Usually when that happens ill try to restart the computer, or stop and return back but generally the problem persists. Then, after some time, maybe 20 to 45 minutes or so, when I try to use the computer it works normally with any of these problems.

  Very bizzare. Any help or insight is appreciated, let me know if you need more information

  Please see page 4 of the specifications for the device. The signal that I'm trying to measure through a shunt 30A: 300mV, but in most cases, the maximum value is about 10 A/100mV. The readings that we receive are not clean and are quite loud, when the hope is that they are quite clean.

  It seems that the smaller card voltage range is +/-1.25 V. According to the manual, the absolute uncertainty according to the table is 740 uV (or 0.74 mV). I watched it and it was quite high. I mean in 2A (20 mV) absolute uncertainty of 0.75mV is 3.75% and it is quite high. I realize that we use only about 4% of the voltage range and it is a problem, but I still think it could be better that it's - am I interpreting this right?

  If I interpret it correctly, then is card on par with the industry standards?

  Please clarify, I was more in the way of solving problems to try and get the best representation of your signal! Take a look at this article by NOR retailer the absolute accuracy. You can calculate this using the values in the table on page 4 of the manual you mentioned.

  There are three ways to calculate absolute precision in anticipation of your system design, although I'll add the specification on page 4 of the manual I believe is the number planned and tested by NOR. I apologize because I'm a little busy right now or I would run the numbers myself.

  Absolute accuracy specification is a signal that properly uses the +-1.25V range. A 0.74mV absolute precision in the schema of a 2.5Vpp signal is less than two-tenths of a percent error (0.185%). There are modules (as you mentioned) for smaller ranges of entry, that's why you have seen a performance much better with the-range 0.5 to 0.5. You might consider to amplify the signal in the range of +-1.25 to get the best performance with the PXI-6123. Although the distortion seems to be important in your application, using only 4% of the available range is just a case do not use the material best suited to your application.

  No - we can't measure the resistance in this way.

  To measure resistance, you normally spend a current known and then measure the voltage. A DMM will be repeated by generating a little known current and measuring the internal tension. If you provide an external voltage thus, DMM internal resistance measurement will not work.

  For the LabVIEW - The USB-6212 can measure the tension. If you want to measure resistance, while the unit is plugged, you need to know/measure current (for example through a shunt resistance) and the tension and then do R = V / I for the resistance. I don't know what the argument of type 6212 if you try to perform a measure of 'resistance', as it is not a source of internal current.

  The user for the AIO-610 manual says pins 18 & 20 (common) on the AIO - 610 are tied together internally in the module.  Looking your circuit diagram, which would actually be a short circuit, the "charge" and pour a large amount of current through your shunt.  Post some info on your overall application and maybe we can find a solution.

  Hello everyone, I'm having a problem of balancing slot chassis and signals acquisition facility space.  Systems cRIO I built in the past used maps 9219 universal to acquire my signals analog 4-20mA.  However, I found that to 4 channels per card cost per channel is stiff and frankly I'm running out of space in our applications.  I decided to experiment with the help of the 9205 in our chassis compact daq and have found that if I sample at 1 kHz, then take an average I get not too bad at reading.  My system is not high speed.  I update my screen at a frequency of 10 Hz and record data as slow as 5 min.  I tried to take a middle run of 100 samples on 24 channels, but I think it's eating all my memory.

  In short I'm looking for stable values that I am getting with the 9219 but using the 9205.  For my son, I'm running both the chassis and the sensors on the same diet, and the signals are then put through a shunt resistance (resistance of 250 ohms accuracy).  4-20mA cables are protected, and the cables 1 - 5V to the card are only a foot or two of time so there should not be enough length to pick up a lot of noise signal.  The measurement mode is NSRE, as all my reasons are common, so it does not appear that there should be no difference between taking a differential concentration or the NSRE.

  I'm a fan of sampling rates, filtering, then downsampling and only output of the values at a low rate.  For your request, I would consider sampling at 1 kHz, using a low-pass filter at 1 Hz, and then save the data at 10 Hz.  You get a nice and smooth signal even when there is a lot of high frequency noise.  Usually it's on the FPGA.  (Oops, just noticed that you use cDAQ.  Always easy to do with the PC.)

  I also would investigate the material aspect of things.  I always get confused about entry to use mode, so I often try several and figure on which one works better.  Maybe combine the signals as a bonus to see if it works better.  If so, something is configured wrong for only configuration is complete.

  I enclose the signals observed on CRO and using hardware Labjack U3.

  I'm not able to grasp the nature, as I observe the CRO.

  Setting the voltage on CRO is 0.1V and time setting is 2 ms.

• Freeze a specific mp3 player

  I just bought the zip clip today and of course it runs its test.  So far so good with one exception close.  I have 1 specific mp3 that locks the drive when I try to play.  When I say lock I mean that the menus still not responding, I can browse around, but the song will not play, it won't be any other song I'm trying to play after that, the playback screen now always comes down to info from the original song of the problem.  After a reset, all other parts work fine again.

  256 kbps 44 kHz

  time 01:27:32 (DJ set)

  2 stereo channels

  Protected: No.

  I re-encoded the file at a lower rate but still no luck.  This file works fine on PC, Tablet, phone, etc.  I'm able to play other files with longer periods, of the higher rates... so I am at a loss for what else to try.

  Now, I am even more perplexed.  I converted the MP3 back problem to wave, then took this wav file through the blade of a nice new mp3 160 kbps.  Same question.

  As I mentioned above, I'm able to play other files which are longer play length.

  After much, much, more troubleshooting I finally decided to try to force the MSC to USB mode and it is solved.  For some reason, this very specific song just wouldn't work using of the PSG, which is what has been automatic selection.

  So, in case someone else stumbles across this post in the future, if you have problems with any of your songs on this player, with files that work very well on all other devices... go to settings > system settings > USB Mode and shift from Auto to MSC, and then copy the file.  I make no promises, but it worked for my headache.

• Information on RMAN catalog database using and any catalog (controlfile)

  I´d like some clarification on the subjects of RMAN RMAN usage with or without a recovery catalog (database / schema):

  (1) will be the database controfile target always store ALL changes made on RMAN? For example, configure changes persistent RMAN as a retention strategy, controfile autobackup, backup optimization and so forth, these will always record on the target database controlfile, even if we're connecting to RMAN with a recovery catalog?

  (2) what happens if we stop using the recovery catalog? I mean, if you don't use stored scripts and shot through the OS jobs or same EM control database, may continue to use then and do not connect more on the recovery catalog? It will be a problem? My target database stops?

  I will be the legacy a few databases to administer and they connects to a catalog of recovery of database / schema, it's good, but I want to set up my own backup and restore policies / procedures in a two-step process: (1) have each configuration of RMAN database on controlfile, Later (2) in view of the use of the recovery catalog to centralized databases and keep more disk backup and restore.

  (1) Yes, everything about the structure of data is stored in the controlfile. The location of the backup controlfile is also stored in the controlfile.

  The backup controlfile location is also stored in the catalog if you synchronize to it.

  (2) you can stop immediately using the catalog if you choose, and as long as you have a backup RMAN script file, you can always backup using this file.

  The catalog is used to store the location of the backupsets, and copy image. If you have any scripts to store, it can store these too. Really, it's all done catalog.

  You can back up and restore/recover without a catalog, as long as you know where all backups are retained.
