We can connect remote vpn ipsec before logon in windows?
can connect us to the vpn remote ipsec before logon in windows? is there an option in cisco vpn client?
Hello Krishna,
You can do this with the start function prior to logon.
The following link describes the same thing:
You can even activate as follows:
VPN client > options > Windows user properties > check the box "enable start before logon".
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
Anisha

Can connect to the IPSec VPN, but can not see the internal network
I have several users that can connect to our rooms of ussing IPSec VPN on a 5505. I have a user who can connect, but cannot see the internal network. This user is using DSL with a speedstream 4100. However, I have another user with the same configuration that can connect and see the internal network. Newspapers in ASDM show the link, but do not seem to show any errors trying to access internal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bill.

Easy remote VPN - IPsec Session count
I have recently updated our ASA5510 head to our datacenter to 8.2.1 to 8.4.5. The ASD has been also improved 6.2.1 to 7.1. (1) 52. Under the old code, a connected remote ASA5505 via remote VPN easy showed 1 IPsec tunnel. However, after the upgrade, it shows 42 sessions. It seems to me that each split tunnel network defined in the easy VPN profile is being counted as a tunnel. Someone has seen this, or is - it possible that I may have something misconfigured now that the code is upgraded? Thank you.
Dave
No, IMHO, it's a display error in ASDM for 7.1.
Return to ASDM 6.4.9 and it should be 1 tunnel.

The 10.0.0.x pool is configured properly. Just change the NAT to traffic between 192.168.1.x, 3.x, and 4.x are exempt in NAT, where the above change config.
Your split tunnel ACL says allow an entire ip, so please change it to the following:
access-list 120 allow ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 120 allow ip 192.168.3.0 0.0.0.255 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.255

Tried to start in safe mode & start the laptop very well, but once I went back to the startup by default, face the same problem again.
Hello
Take a look at this thread and follow the same steps listed in the breast.
In particular, the bit on a SFC/scannow. Sometimes when you unplug a PC like that, you can damage some essential Windows files. A SFC scan should be able to fix it.
This link contains a lot of other really good as well troubleshooting procedures.
I hope this helps.

Can I have Firefox ask before closing the window if I hit Ctrl-W by accident.
When filling out forms in the browser I sometimes accidentally hit Ctrl-w to muscle memory. The ctrl-w is a function of writing in another program I use. When I hit Ctrl-w window close without warning and I can potentially use an hour of work.
Is it possible to configure firefox, then it will appear a confirmation box when I click the Ctrl-w warning me that the browser window closes.
It's a safety device great for touch typist who sometimes moves too fast.
Thank you.
I thing the warning appears only when you have 2 or more tabs open in the same window if the checkbox is checked in the Options (warn me when closing multiple tabs).
With a single tab, I fear that it is not possible to be warned: in Firefox, CTRL + W closed the tab current, different from CTRL + SHIFT + W (or ALT + F4) to close the active window.
If this shortcut is really a problem for you, you may replace it with an add-on like customizable shortcuts.

How to change the image before logon in Windows 8
It is a home computer that has several accounts. The displayed image is Seattle, which is not the image of locking for accounts (including the hidden administrator account). I would like to change this image pre-login/sign-out to another thing (whatever it is). What steps should I take to avoid having to watch this stupid picture (sorry Microsoft, not all of us are from Seattle or want of any image that seems from colored pencils)?
To make a change that is resistant to the evolution of screen resolutions, replace C:\Windows\Web\Screen\img100.pngwith your new image. Then delete the image resized C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly\LockScreen_Z caches. You will need to take ownership of the files/folders in question to access.
Alternative: disable the lock screen. To do this, search for "group policy" settings. Navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, personalization. The value "Not displayed the lock screen" to "Enabled".

Connectivity VPN IPSec Client to ASA5510
I have an ASA5510 at a remote site. I used the IPSec VPN Wizard to configure remote access for developers in the portion of the DMZ network 192.168.100.0/24.
I can connect using two the last customer Cisco Windows and using VPNC on my Linux machine. A tunnel is created, I get a valid IP within the 192.168.100.0 subnet and everything is great.
But when I try to ssh to one of the servers, the SYN package times out. I can see the connection tries to establish by looking at the logs on the firewall.
There is no problem with Linux servers themselves to who I am trying to connect. I've ridden iptables and even tried to connect without any firewall rule. Still no dice.
I can post my running-config here if necessary.
Thank you.
Well just ensure that ISAKMP desired on your firewall policy is at the top. This will reduce the time for negotiation for Phase 1. Also, make sure that there is no fragmentation (MTU issues).

Can connect via the VPN, but cannot see the files
I can connect via VPN to my company network, but the files do not arise under Vista. I have no problem to see them on my old Windows PC, so this is a specific problem of Vista. On my old system, just click on computer and it shows me my company on the network's records. No Vista - cannot find anywhere, even if I am connected via VPN. Where are they?
Hello
Since it is the network of the company, there is no way to know hwo security is configured, unless you are a computer scientist in society.
Not "mess up" your computer, first talking to the person in charge of VPN connections.

I am at a loss, I can connect VIA VPN and Ping inside the IPs (192.168.1.2) and outside (4.2.2.2) IPs of the remote VPN client, but can't surf WWW. Inside the network, all users have WWW access and the network is fine. I'm new on the revisions to ver 8.3 and don't see what I'm missing?

: endHello
Its propably because you do not have a DNS server configured for VPN users. Try this command:
group-policy DfltGrpPolicy attributes dns-server value 8.8.8.8
-
Cannot access any internal IPs when you are connected by VPN to ASA5505
Hello
I was able to configure VPN to work a bit on my ASA 5505. I can connect to the VPN and ping some IP addresses within the network. But some IPs don't react, I get "Request Timed Out"
For example:
10.10.0.4 - it works
10.10.0.5 - is not word
10.10.0.10 - it works
10.10.0.11 - it works
10.10.0.13 - does not workIf I ping from the network internally, all works well.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to address the issue?
VPN is the marking of the packages in a way that would trigger a firewall block?
It is the configuration of my ASA:
VPN with the name 'VPN-Remote' is the one I use.
