Web services - role management connector

Hello

do you have experience with Webservices IOM connector? I am incorporating a TS via this connector and need to resolve the roles of commissioning for accounts. The child table (contains the roles of account) changes generate messages UpdateAddAttributeValues/UpdateRemoveAttrbuteValues - I managed them in the BPEL (SOA of the connector part) code, but it seems to me that these messages are generated by a record change - so when you add three roles, three UpdateAddAttributeValues messages are generated - one per record in the roles table (at least it seems to be the case because the only role is on TS after the delivery of IOM). I'd rather supply the final set of roles in a single call, because the TS webservice expects a final list of roles as an input to the updateUser method parameter.

Can you recommend a solution in the Web services connector to supply the final set of roles in the call for an update?

Peter

This is the expected behavior of any OOB/Custom connector and connector webservice is no different from that.

When there is an addition / deletion of data of the child, by the corresponding transaction process task is triggered. However, it doesnot limit allows you to add multiple child records at once. IOM will trigger several instance of the task to process in-house.

So if you add child data 3-4 at once, you can do by editing the process shape and add several records it or make the request through catalog if you have denounced as right.

However, if you want a single adapter to treat all newly added entries, you need to improve the connector. You can do this:

1 > turn off the OOB tasks for the data of the child, to create the task with a custom adapter that put the data into a temporary table.

2 > write a personalized planning work to treat all child data entered based on the date of creation and operation of the indicator (Add/Remove).

3 > job should clear the folder after the successful operation.

  • Web service for private cloud OPA connectors

    Hello

    1. is there a pre-configured for Oracle HCM web services connector? The documentation (which is a web service connection?) specifies that "predefined web service connectors are available for some Oracle applications."

    2 are PL/SQ skills necessary to query and update the data source (Oracle), or the structure of connectors contains of classes/methods/etc, that to do this at a higher level (i.e. just by specifying the details of db connection & fields)?

    I am aware of the example of project (that I'll study in parallel), but just ask quickly here as well.

    Thanks in advance,

    Razvan

    I'm not aware of a web services connector pre-built from Oracle for HCM, but it is possible that there is something developed by a partner of Oracle.

    The structure of connectors is really an architecture and a set of definitions of the web services any connector must support. It is possible to build a connector that uses the JDBC API, PL/SQL, other Java API, or call other web services. The main requirement is that it should provide a mapping to something that resembles the structure of the Table/column/line/field expect web services of the OPA.

  • Management of Web services in ADF (correctly)

    Hi all

    I have a confusion on the management of Web services in the ADF. Please help me get clarity on that. I'm working on JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0.

    In my implementation of project, we have three layers of database-> BPM (webservices)-> ADF UI. Here, the BPM layer interacts with the database and provides data to appear on ADF UI. We have made the use of customer Web and Proxy Services for the creation of the service proxy and calling Web services BPM of the user interface layer.

    However, the Webservice experience input not direct and simple answers. We had to create several Variables of classes, ArrayList, POJO to prepare the application. Also after getting the answer, we must go through every files, extract data, make some custom manipulation and prepare the result set. So transmit us data to the DC class file and make it available in the palette of the DataControl.

    My question here is, is the right way to manage the webservices implementation in ADF? Is there another way to implement the case what I mentioned above? How to address the case where I need to enrich the request before calling service Web and then extract data from response structure?

    I don't know about the Web service data control, but it gives no flexibility to enrich the request and response (please, correct me if I'm wrong).

    Thanks in advance,

    RM

    In your version, it is the way to go.

    Datacontrols WS can be used only for simple services.

  • IOM to the web service connector

  • How encryption works in the web services connector?

    Hi, I wanted to ask if someone could explain or point me to somewhere where its explained how encryption in Web Service connector (connector guide did not help) because I feel like there is a black box in the way that works part of the connector.

    This is what is happening to me.

    When I request an account the IOM sends to the SOA, a SOAP message with this field:

    user < __NAME__ > < / __NAME__ >

    Do0emq9XxVlYdbBxRUFSpciLqp77p6WYXQzATr8UysI = < __PASSWORD__ > < / __PASSWORD__ >

    But SOA sends a SOAP like it even though im using the oimcp/WS_CONNECTOR_OUTBOUND to decrypt the way that the Webservices connector Guide tells me to do section 5.1

    the user < USER_ID > < / USER_ID >

    Do0emq9XxVlYdbBxRUFSpciLqp77p6WYXQzATr8UysI < PASSWORD > = < / PASSWORD >

    < PasswordConfirm > Do0emq9XxVlYdbBxRUFSpciLqp77p6WYXQzATr8UysI = < / passwordConfirm >

    Somehow the DB records the real password not the hash, but if the size of the password in the DB field is smaller than the size of the hash I get a SQL error even if the

    password real has the right length. And change the size of the field in the DB is not always an option.

    Happents another odd thing, is that if I do not declare the passwordConfirm field in < property name = "password.field.xpath.locations" type = "xs: String" > / ns3:PASSWORD, / ns3:passwordConfirm < / property > even if the sending of SOAP by the SOA is always: "

    the user < USER_ID > < / USER_ID >

    Do0emq9XxVlYdbBxRUFSpciLqp77p6WYXQzATr8UysI < PASSWORD > = < / PASSWORD >

    < PasswordConfirm > Do0emq9XxVlYdbBxRUFSpciLqp77p6WYXQzATr8UysI = < / passwordConfirm >

    I get the error that do not match the password and passwordConfirm.

    And to make things even more bizarre if I wire the password, lets say, e-mail and declare this field as needed the decryption of the stored value is the hash. Even if the password is the normal password.

    Also, is there a way for the SOA to send the password in plain text?

    Hello Leo,

    If you have correctly configured oimcp/WS_CONNECTOR_OUTBOUND policy, there should not be any errors and it works without problem.  Unhappiness about using policy - is that the errors you will see when it does not work are not really useful to discover the cause of the problem.  In fact, the most useful tool I found the resolution of the problems with politics is WireShark.

    I used the strategy in multi-instance test scenarios and also support for several customers who try to use the policy.  From my experience, I guess that decryption is being ignored due to an error in your code. If WireShark gives you not with sufficient detail to indicate where the error is, I would say a SR in support to solve the problem more openness.

    Hope that helps,

    Amy

  • How to fire a manager class when consuming web service in java - weblogic

    With the help of Axis 1.4 I created client application that consumes the external server services.

    The response of the application server with the soap message that include tags header as well as the body tag.

    My problem with the header tag, I'm trying to find away to get the header element.

    What happened so far:

    I found that I need to use a handler that extends BasicHandler using this class, I can get the header tag. source: dealing with SOAP in the axis headers

    But how this handler to operate during the use of web services? I mean how to call this handler whenever I received the response from the server to get his header .

    Some articles suggest I should use .wsdd file. I use 11.1.1.7 with weblogic 10.3.6 Jdeveloper environment where I don't know web.xml configuration file.

    Question: How to bind this information (Manager class, .wsdd file and web.xml ) to collect and the Manager works for the heading tags?

    The best start was to check the Axis guide on: Apache-Axis reference Guide where you will have an overview of the workflow. (Thanks to Timo)

    To configure the handlers be trigger on the client side you need to do the following:

    1- Create class Manager basically something similar to the following:

    package mypackge;
     import javax.xml.soap.SOAPException;
     import org.apache.axis.AxisFault;
     import org.apache.axis.MessageContext;
     import org.apache.axis.handlers.BasicHandler;
     import org.apache.axis.message.SOAPHeader;
     import org.apache.axis.message.SOAPHeaderElement;

     public class SoapHeaderConsumerHandler extends BasicHandler
     {
         public void invoke(MessageContext messageContext) throws AxisFault
         { // Your logic for request or response handling goes here.
          // Basically you need to make use of the parameter
         // messageContext where you can access the soap header and body tags.
         }
    }

    2- Create the client-config.wsdd file. It will look like the following:

    http://xml.apache.org/axis/wsdd/" xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/axis/wsdd/providers/java">

    You can see that I only use handlers for incoming response side server. So whenever the client application receives a response from the server the class Manager SoapHeaderConsumerHandler is triggered and the method invoke will be called by default.

    Note: if you want to access the outgoing request before sending to the server you need to add an additional label for to add the request handler.

    Check the Reference Deployment (WSDD) of the guide of the axis:

    3- Where to place the client-config.wsdd file?

    You will need to place the .wsdd file in the working directory. You can easily find the location of the working directory using:

    System.out.println("Working Directory = " + System.getProperty("user.dir"));

    Source: Get the Current Working Directory in Java

    You just place the .wsdd file here.

  • vCenter 5.5: Web services management service could be started or ended unexpectedly

    Hello

    in our vcenter costs installed 5.5 (on Windows 2012r2), we are not able to start VMware VirtualCenter Management Web services, we have a lot of messages in the system log:

    "The service of VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices ended unexpectedly.  He did this 874 times.  The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: restart the service. »

    We only found KB articles for vcenter 4.x or 5.1, many said look if any other process is using port 8080, we checked it... no other process using this port

    Any suggestions?

    OK, found the problem: it isn't Port 8080, it is the port 8009 that causes the problem. We had installed qlogic HBA Software (QConvergeConsole), which has installed its own tomcat server. It blocks the port 8009.

  • Changing the settings of data control for the Web Service with the company Manager

    We have different environments for the development, test, acceptance and Production. In the environment, we use different instances of the BSSV server so we have several points of endpoints for Web Services. When we move at the request of the ADF from one environment to another, we do not want to change the source code, but we want to change endpoints using configuration. We have seen that store them in Enterprise Manager, we can change endpoints and that this configuration will be saved in a MDS. But what precisely needs to be configured on the application to get this working? Now, we can change endpoints, but they are not saved.

    I found the information in this blog but it doesn´t work: http://blogs.oracle.com/adf/2011/02/changing_endpoint_url_for_a_web_service_data_control.html

    Joost

    Hello

    If you want to configure deployment position of connections, it is necessary for your application to be configured with a Repository.As of MDS in writing I'd mentioned in the blog too, for that you need an entry in the adf - config.xml and that your server must have a registered MDS store. Unless you are going to do this, the connection endpoint changes you make will not be saved.
    For example, at the end of the application, adf-config.xml file, you need an entry like this:
    .

    .
    When you deploy this application a server with a registered MDS, the deployment repository will bring up a dialog box where you can set(select/create) a partition for this app in the mds repository. Once your deployment is done, now if you change the endpoint using EM, it will save your changes.

  • Web service data control - how to use the data for the axis2 service manager

    Hello

    I have the following questions:
    I consume a Web service using the web service based on axis2, MTOM data. The webservice response returns a complex response object.

    1. How can I link the (type axis2 DataHandler object) the response content to be stored in a column of data?
    2. in the response object, the name of the file is stored in a hash table structure, how can I retrieve the value of a specific key only? In an ideal world, it's a no-brainer, in ADF(newbie here) I do not know how to extract it?
    3. in addition, the display of collectibles for a response from webservice with a radio button beside each line?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Is the part of the information that you want to display available as a separate attribute in the results of the Web service in the data control panel?
    If not, and you do a manipulation of the result to retrieve content, you can consider creating a Java proxy for the Web service, in that proxy to expose a method that gives you the news you need and then expose the proxy as a data control. Then, you can call the specific method to get the specific information in the format you need.

  • How to call web services from other applications of E9?

    We have an obligation to look to the top of the account ID of a master data management application (no SFDC). The purpose of doing so is to find the account associated with a perspective on the basis of the corporate name, address, city, State, country... The application can expose a web service in search of account. I can call the web service of E9?

    Not directly.  A solution using Eloqua would create a cloud connector, but the code that connects to Eloqua and other web service live outside these two systems.

    Another approach, I recommend if you use Salesforce and the lead will do, there would be screaming to the webservice from Salesforce and have the info power back to Eloqua through integration of eloqua/crm normal.
