  I have a Satellite Pro A100 828 running Win XP Pro.

However no matter how hard I tried, I can't find the correct driver for the NETWORK CONTROLLER, which still appears in Device Manager in yellow color.

  I doubt that this could be a Vista or CD/DVV drive problem, I think that it s more a problem of compatibility of the disk.

  I recommend that you test some different discs from different manufacturers.
  Some have said here that the TDK discs are fine

  I tried these discs also and never had any problems burning / writing.
