Website will be not updated of changes without clear history/cache?

I'm a construction project site that I update every week for a local community. I do updates and download files to the server properly, but changes to the Web pages are not displayed for me unless I have clear my history, or put a '? ' at the end of the url. It's fine for me to do, but for visitors who bookmark my website and/or visit frequently, I don't think that it is realistic to have every visitor to erase their history every week before visiting the Web site. What can I do so that they see the updates easily? Thank you for your suggestions.

If you want to prevent caching files, you can add the following tags in theto the page:

However, this will not necessarily affect the behavior of the proxy servers. Some ISPS using proxy servers to store web pages to accelerate their delivery. If you have to clear your cache every time, it could be a proxy server which is not cleared on a regular basis.

I posted two pictures to show you what the site is currently looking like in the browser, and now a screenshot of Muse and what is - that supposed to be like. Relax and breathe.

FIRST: Uninstall IE8 and IE7 if they are installed.  Back to all the way back to IE6.  You want other patches before you get those.  Reboot after doing this.

You are not the first to ask questions about how to upgrade a clean Windows XP - not even installation in the last week. In fact, I will just cut and paste my answer here... here:

Get SP2 (manually) and save it to your desktop. (There's a link here.) [You are a COMPUTER professional for now.]

    Install it.

Then restart at least a couple of times for a few minutes between each restart.

Get SP3 (manually) and save it to your desktop. (There's a link here.) [You are a COMPUTER professional for now.]

    Install it.

Then restart at least a couple of times for a few minutes between each restart.

Download at least Internet Explorer 7 (if it is not Internet Explorer 8).

    Install it.

    Reset.

Now, try to get the updates through the normal web page (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) and see how much more you can get (100 +) and keep checking until you no longer have.

Back - let everyone know if it worked for you.

  • Firefox 4 will be not updated to firefox 5

    Hello

I have 2 PC, both very similar set up.
1 PC: that I am on, is the version 4.0.1
    2nd PC: version 5.0
Both have gotten to these steps via update through the "Check for Updates". Problem is 1 PC says it is up-to-date. So I'm confused and I was wondering why 1 PC does not update?

If there is any other information needed, please let me know.
    Thank you!

Firefox 5 is without doubt a 5.0 (beta) version b1.

Have you ever install a version of Firefox 4 beta or release candidate?

It is possible that you are still on the beta channel.

You can check pref app.update.channel on the subject: config page.

If the value of this pref is beta so it is best to download and install the full version of Firefox 4, or edit the file \defaults\pref\channel-prefs.js in the folder of installation of Firefox 4 and change the line to:

    pref("app.update.channel", "release");

    @drago72, welcome to the forum.

Normally, the drivers other those provided by HP will not work with their motheboards.  I suggest you go to Device Manager / graphics cards / right click on your video card / select Update driver software / search automatically for updated driver software.  If there is an updated driver, it will be found and installed.  If this is not the case, he will tell you that it is up-to-date.

  • Windows 8 will be not updated

My hard drive had to be replaced in my computer. He was initially under windows 8.1, and all updates were up-to-date.  It is on a 64 bit system. The seller has not received my disc of windows 8 and windows 7 pro has been installed.

I have re-installed windows 8 pro and begun the process of updating the widows to restore to windows 8.1.  I was not able to be updated, as when the updates are installed, I am instructed to restart the computer. After the reboot, the updates are configured. During the configuration process, I get the message "configuration of the Windows updates failed, changes back, do not turn off your computer."

Updates get to where all of a sudden, a message appears updates failed, he could go back to before you try to install the updates.

I tried unchecking and manually install the updates. This latest effort, I unchecked all but the 5 latest updates, but where they installed quickly, and the computer must be restarted, a new message says "keep your pc connected until this is done, and it has started to install again to install all updates 171.» After he installed all the updates 171, at a time gave a message says "configuration of Windows updates failed, changes in recovery, do not turn off your computer."

It is a vicious circle, and I can't get windows 8 update to 8.1 as before. Any help would be appreciated.

Please run a check of system files (SFC) & DISM (if necessary) If you are on Windows 8 or higher

  • Can not open in safe mode / clear the cache because firefox is frozen

I tried to load a page which seems to have had a built-in buggy video ad, and now Firefox is stuck. It stops responding, but when I force quit and reopen it, it opens the offending page, still too and it freezes again. I tried to restart my computer and reinstall Firefox and the problem continues to be. I can't follow the advice I've seen here on open mode without failure or clear my cache, because Firefox crashes before I can do it. I there a way to make these Firefox outdoors? I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 if that matters.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Windows 7 will be not updated after clean install

I recently acquired a Vista laptop that I improved with a SSD and Windows 7 Professional.  After installation without incident on a new SSD and activation, I discovered that Win7 does not refresh the console update continues just search for updates and the CPU activity revolves around 50%.  I've linked several fixes on this site and others with no luck.

I'm not a PC expert, but I (FINALLY) know what caused this problem and how to solve it!  , But first of all note that this is the solution for my WINDOWS 7 64-bit Home Premium just after a clean installation.  I don't know if this plan works for 32-bit systems or other 7s to win, but novel with minor changes and some research...?

The part of Windows 7 that search updates would normally take 24 to 48 hours to complete his research.  You can tell that you have this problem, while you are waiting for the update search by CTRL-ALT-DEL, start the Task Manager, then watch TAB PROCESS, then click: show processes from all users.  Look down the list until you find a SVCHOST. EXE running by the SYSTEM which uses 50% or more of CPU and a large piece (73%) of memory.  Then, go to the window Windows Update of the control panel and it say to never look updates.  Then return to the Task Manager and KILL the big 50% fat process that you just found.

MS produced a patch (patches of 2 k) that you can't normally without an update.  There is a way to download these files from 2 k, but then...

You cannot install them normally without using WUSA (the stand-alone installation of Windows Update program).  And if you try to use it to install the patches, WUSA must begin a new search for 48 hours for updates before installing anything.  It is a circular trap!

My iPad will not recognize iOS 10.  I've updated my two iPhones (6) easily and successfully.  However, when I click on "Check for Updates" on my iPad, I get a message that the 9.3.5 version is the "current version".  It does not produce an error message.  It's an iPad 3.  I never had problems before update.  Recently, I did a restore of backup because he refused to play the video on one of my apps.  Restoring corrects this problem, but did not affect my inability to update the iOS.  I tried to install wireless and wired with iTunes on two different computers.  He said still 9.3.5 is the latest version.  I stopped and restarted several times iPad.  No luck.  I tried on several different networks.  No luck.

This is because the iPad 3rd generation don't is not supported in iOS 10 (http://www.apple.com/ios/ios-10/).  9.3.5 IOS is the latest version of iOS for your iPad.
