• A really weird text formatting problem

  I tried to fix a weird text problem in a new InDesign document.

  Behavior: When I hit enter at the end of a line, it gives me a jump page instead of a newline behavior. All the following text is presented on the next page.

  If it is applied as an effect of direct Type, you can select the object and the effect > path > offset, then check OK, unless you have closed Illy in the meantime, and then you should be able to see what has been applied; After that you just click Cancel.

  Or if applied as an ordinary object > path > Offset path, if you still have the original (type described or other) and the offset path, you can choose one then the other and see the difference of value W or H. It will be twice the offset.

• Form formatting not available in 11.1.2.5.200/11.1.2.3.500 planning

  I patched (quite painfully as always) my compact deployment to 11.1.2.3.500.

  As part of this process of correction, I've upgraded Smart View to 11.1.2.5.200.

  When I go into the planning forms, all of the formatting has disappeared.  I mean here the Member cell colors, colors of data cell, locked cells (I'm loggin in as owner of the app, but I still should not be able to enter data at the top of the dimension), etc., not here.

  I go into the Options and made sure that 'Use of Cell Styles' was checked (although I thought it was an irrelevant option for planning) as well as to ensure that there are in fact all sorts of settings for cell styles - there are.

  So what don't understand me?

  I'm looking not a little in support, but these KBs appear to be on a swivel, cascade, etc..  In other words, formatted to go once it has been applied.  I can't even format.

  Finally, I must emphasize that formatting worked very well in SV 11.1.2.5.000/11.1.2.3.000.  I even tried to rollback 11.1.2.5.000 SV - it made no difference.

  I managed to understand this one.

  My patch.500 installation had problems - planning would not open in Internet Explorer.  Thanks to some suggestions of John Booth, I applied the patches ADF 16964825 and 18362693 to my system.  Who got the job schedule, but has not resolved the issue of the Smart View (Smart View worked when IE would not--he had these weird same formatting problems).

  I just restored via VMWare (so not an opatch rollback) on a pre.500 patch, installed the two patches of ADF in the folder oracle_common\opatch (not the EPMSystem11R1\opatch folder), then applied the correctifs.500.  I must point out that the patch 17529887 has stated that these ADF patches were already there and abandoned their plot (just two ADF patches. the rest of the patch worked).

  And that's all, it works now.

• Disorders of shadow symbol

  I met a very special difficulty, spent the last hour trying to nail repeatable. The problem is this: I have a jpg image that I use repeatedly in an illustrator file, and I wanted to be more effective by making a symbol. So I incorporated the image, it is a symbol, then updated my Illustrator file, replace instances of this image with the symbol-version of the image. I then tried to add a shadow effect to one of these symbols. Although the effect has been listed in the menu appearance, he didn't really appear visibly on the screen. However, if I only added a shadow-no effect to the symbol (e.g. flou.1 pixel) then added a shadow, the shadow would appear. Curiously, I have other images I've done in symbols where this problem does not occur. Maybe, that's a weird image format problem?

  Yes, I'll probably buy the real version of Illustrator very soon. I need something better than Inkscape, but I'm a little hesitant, put off by all the oddities that I discovered in the past two weeks. I had hoped that a package for profit would be more reliable than this.

  You need not use "blur." Try rather effect "path offset." Sounds weird, but works. Set it to 0 offset.

• API 5.0 Beta 5-FileConnection questions

  First off, I'm testing with the 9500 Simulator that comes with the plugin Eclipse BlackBerry Java.

  Secondly, when I say root directory I mean the folder after the host (file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/ where 'BlackBerry' is the root directory and host is "SD card"). For more information about path formats look getPath, getURL, and FileConnection getName methods. Finally, the way that I use is "file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/."

  So, I have a support library that contains a collection of operations on files. Specifically, I made sure that I don't use any API requires a signature for this library (that way I can do quick updates without resigning). So, I use a lot javax.microedition.io.file.FileConnection. I've noticed a few problems:

  • When I call FileConnection.exists () on the root directory and everything after it returns false.
  • When I call FileConnection.isDirectory () on the root directory and everything after it returns false.
  • When I call FileConnection.getPath (), it returns the host and the root (supposed to come out as /BlackBerry/ as shown in getPath but he returned/SDCard/BlackBerry /)

  Everyone has noticed this or had this problem? I don't know if it's a Simulator or a problem of BONE matter. I would like to test on a real device, but for some reason any I tells me that I must sign my support library (I think I added a class signed for the test and I forgot to remove it, but don't know where it is still). I don't know if it's because I use the file system as the SD card or because I use an SD card in the first place or the nothingness of those too.

  I see also some problems with the simulation of the micro SD card by using 5.0 on Windows Vista beta BlackBerry smartphone simulators.  I sent this question to our development team.

  OK, thanks for the effort, however, this is not a test case from work, by far...

  The input XML is not valid because you probably just copied the version without escape sequence and paste here.
  The cuts you made in the XML load make invalid too.

  The query is not true either, syntax XMLNamespaces is bad, but also the XPath expression.

  I understand that you want to present a simplified scenario based on but you are in fact wasting time by not giving something that we can run.

  Now, if I have a query document_attachments table content column displays the results, but with all the tags of the namespace and etc.

• Import from a Sony HDR-XR500V

  Hi guys, noob here.

  I've been digging around on the internet and I can't find an answer to this.

  I recently bought a Sony Handycam HDR-XR500V. The camera is a 1080 p hd camera (sorry I don't really know much care) but I know that a friend warned me about buying a camera with a hard drive because of the difficulties that I downloaded. Stupidly, I bought this camera and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get my created video.

  I run Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and the software does not detect my camera even when the computer does. Sony has me download through a program called Picture Motion Browser instead, that came with the camcorder. Then it stores it in a weird file format (mt2?). The software gives me the options to convert wmv or mpeg2, but when I convert wmv picture quality becomes caliber cell phone and when I convert it to mpeg2 and import adobe cannot load the sound file.

  If I can find a way of

  -Convert to mpeg2 and always maintain the sound

• How to place images and cultures to fit inside the vector form

  I am trying to place an image on top a vector shape and then I want to cut the edges of the image, it takes this form (essentially by filling in the form with the image)

  I try also to do with two layers of vector shapes, I want to install into one another and did not all block... the top or 'form fill' is an array of hexagons (make a honeycomb like structure) I want he made in the underlying (lime green) oval shape.  Here is a link if you want to see what I'm doing...   Put the (vector) path formatting on top of the image, select both and opposition > clipping mask > make.

  I can't open the file to see what there is to see, and I have to go in a moment.
