What can I do on Satellite P35 overheating?

Someone had permanent solutions to stop the Satellite P35 overheating. I had cleaned it by Toshiba, under the guarantee only once about from 6 to 9 months, but it is now overheating again and close with no warning except fans go crazy. I can't run on that very intensive applications. I use it from the Office of about 2 to 3 inches. I'll try to clean myself according to the instructions I found online.

I also don't seem to be able to get system information to detect anything hardware or software, it is said he cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software and I am trying to run a program called Speedfan to monitor the temperature of the CPU, but it can not detect the CPU or else other things no more. Even the software Toshiba - computer laptop maximize cannot detect the CPU details.

IM under XP Pro SP2 and Norton Internet Security 2005 Anispyware edition.

Any help would be appreciated. See you soon

Hello

you are in a dusty room? What weather conditions are given to the place where you live? After reading your description, I assume your cooling system is clobbed with dust, which could be a possible explanation, why the machine turns off during load heavy.

If I were you, I would first try to clean the ventilation/cooling system of dust (maybe you will need to bring your machine to the service partner once again) and check if the problem persists after cleaning.

Would be nice if you give something to do in your situation :)

Welcome them

  • What memory can I add to Satellite P35-S6292?

    Hello!

I have Toshiba Satellite P35-S6292 with 512 MB of memory (Samsung M4 70L6524BT0-CB3, PC2700, 166 MHz). I want lots of update of the memory modules (I want to buy 2 or 2 * 512 * 1024). My North Bridge chipset: ATI RS300 + South Bridge: ATI SB200 can support dual chanel (400 Mhz possible?, but only DDR not DDR2) memory.

    What memory can I find to my P35 - maximum PC3200, 400 MHz SO - DIMM 1 GB DDR SDRAM Kingston KVR400X64SC3A modules / 1 G (PC3200, 400 d?) D? N?, CL3)?

    Thank you

According to the specifications of the laptop, you can use monitoring of RAM modules:

    Kingston KTT3311/512 PC2100/PC2700, 512 MB DDR
    KTT3311 / 1 G Kingston PC2100/PC2700, 1 GB DDR

  • Satellite P35 - overheating?

    Hello

I will write in English, while most of you will understand me. I recently bought a computer laptop p35, 3.2 GHz p4 mobile, widescreen 17 '', 1 GB RAM, ATI mobility radeon 9700 ect graphics card.

It works very well. I use it as a desktop replacement, and sometimes I play the game. When I play the game for more information, and then 40 minutes, I think that the system is overheated, the video because all mixes ect. So I press the windows button and wait a while. Then I click on the game on the bar start and I can play again until 5-10 minute later the same thing. It is an overheating problem. Only when I play the game for so long, sometimes.
I don't know what overheats, the CPU or GPU. I think that the GPU, because of the video, and if it was the CPU the system will re-start off o Hang I think.

I have tested with all profiles (full power...) all the same. How can I make the video better cooling?

I read on some extra cooling for notebook computers by placing a cushion with about 2 fans under the laptop. Does that help? You know a model for a computer 17 "widescreen laptop? It is approximately 43 x 29 cm. If most of them do not match the laptop.
    Any help would be welcome,

    Bye,.

    Hello

I'm not sure it's an overheating problem.
They way I see it, is that if there is a problem of overheating you should have a distorted, even when you return to the game Windows. It can still be a heat problem, but I've got a beliving he.

Your question about the pads - I think that if you need to clean the PC on a flat surface you don't need keys. He has already fairly high feet itself so I think he gets the air flow, he needs, if the air inlet not got blocked by dust or so.

My suggestion to your gambling problem, try to look for a newer videodriver or verify knowledge of the gamecreator and videomanufacturer databases. They could have reported this problem and might have a fix for this.

Again it may be a problem of related material (overheating or malfunction) of course but the best way to start troubleshooing and most likely to succeed is to start with the software.

    Good luck

  • Re: Satellite A300 - Windows Vista cling - what can I do?

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 with operating system Windows Vista Home Edition.
After a few weeks of work with my laptop, it cling.
I reinstalled the OS but and it works fine for 1 or two months, then the laptop to hang again.
    October 2008, I bought this laptop and I reinstalled Vista 3 o 4 times.

    What can I do?

You mean that Vista does not answer after some time?
Well my friend, this may be a software problem.

I mean there is no quick fix for these issues, I assume that you have installed and used many different applications on this laptop.
It is possible that one of the applications is causing this problem
It would be also possible that entries in registry and system files have been changed during Microsoft updates

In my opinion, you must use some cleaning as for example the CCLeaner tools.
It s free and it cleans your registry and other files

You should also check the applications that are running while the system would begin to cling
Finally and above all I recommend you memory, you can run a memory test (www.memtest.org, www.memtest86.com) in order to find some problems of memory.

    Good luck

  • What can I do to make the Satellite A665-S6086 run with the new memory?

I was able to update the BIOS for my Satellite A665-S6086 by updating 2.30 on CD burning. I have Windows 7 64 bit. I needed to update the BIOS, because I upgraded my RAM/memory of 2 GB (4 GB total) two cards two cards of 4 GB (8 GB total).

My question now is when I start my computer with the new RAM/memory (two cards that are KTT-S3BS / 4G Kingston DDR3 1333 MHZ SODIMM SGL RANK), it freezes on the screen from Windows startup. Then when I hold the power button to shut it down and restart it, it wants to start using Windows repair but then crashes again. When I put in the memory of the old man and he start up, it starts the Windows repair and runs normally.

What can I do to make my computer run with the new memory?

I thank very you much in advance!

    What you can do?
Buy an another RAM modules that are fully compatible with the laptop.
It seems that you want to use the RAM modules which are not totally compatible and therefore the system hangs.

By the way: the CPU that is used in this notebook runs the DDR3-800 and DDR3-1066
    RAM modules.
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49020

I would not recommend to use the modules of DDR3-1333 but PA3677U-1M4G 4 GB DDR3-1066

  • What can be done to improve the performance of the Satellite P300-150

    Hello

    I have laptop Satellite P300-150.
It seems powerful enough but struggles with some of the latest games.
It s not my main but game machine I m aware if he's struggling now, it won t well before he won t be able to run at all.

And I wouldn't be able to play on the move...

What can be done to increase the capabilities of the laptop - like tweaks, tools and upgrades?

    Thank you
    Max

    Hello

You could improve memory to 4 GB of RAM.
The laptop can be upgraded to 4 GB, but note that the Windows 32 bit OS (Vista & XP) will see only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS.
In this case, you must use the 64 bit OS to get full access to 4 GB.

Second, you can configure laptops OS. I mean you could start the msconfig and might turn off some background process is not necessary including the performance of laptops of waste.

Unfortunately, other upgrades are not possible (apart from HARD drive, but will not increase performance)

  • What can I do to make my Satellite L750 run faster?

    Hello!

First I should mention that I have no expertise on computers so I can look like a fool!

I have a Satellite L750/L755 (8 GB of ram, I - 3) that runs very slowly (100% CPU when I do anything!) and it seems to be useless when it comes to playing games even very old.

Recently, I found 32 twunk runs several times in my process and I don't know if it is a virus or not so many internet post report to the file to be a Trojan horse.

What can I do to make my laptop run faster?

    Hello

All with twunk.32 seems very fishy
Maybe its some kind of malware so I recommend the system to factory settings, for the same settings as on the first day of purchase.

After that, you could clean the system with some sort of freeware software: for example CCLeaner it will help you to clean the system registry and delete of junk.

Of course, you could disable some processes that run in the background. This can be done in msconfig-> Startup tab

Usually it is not big thing to do because there is a kind of tolerance of dead pixels and if you have only two of them it is staged as usual.

  • Satellite P750 - overheating when using the graphics card

I have a Satellite P750. I have a few games that I love to play, but I am unable to because that laptop overheating during the execution of these games.

The specifications of the P750 with GeFORCE 540 m graphics card and 8 GB of ram easily meet the requirements of the games (Counter strike source, cod mw3).

While playing the games for about 10 minutes, all right.
After this step, things start to warm up, and small defects appear on the screen.

Small rectangles of messed up graphics.
If I don't leave the game immediately, I get a BSOD with errors such as "IRQL _less_than_or_Equal.

The vent on the left side of the laptop runs very hot when this happens.
I cleaned dust vacuum on and uses a fan/cooling pad to try to cool it.
    Makes no difference.

I updated to BIOS and graphics card drivers

WHAT CAN I DO TO PREVENT OVERHEATING WHEN YOU USE THE GFX CARD

Hmm using the page of the Toshiba driver graphics driver?
Such driver is a bit different from the other nVidia drivers because it s modified for mobile use. It contains some kind of overheating protection.
In case of higher temperatures of GPU, such driver would clock down GPU performance in order to increase the temperature of the GPU.

  • Windows reinstall failure on Satellite P35 - BSOD

I had to reinstall windows XP on my Satellite P35.

I deleted the partition - now, I think that it could have been a mistake.

I get about half way through installing windows, then I get a blue error screen telling me that the installation could not be completed. "memory dump physical beginning" and all that jazz.

Any tips on what I could do wrong?

I have re-formatted the hard drive.

    What is the BSOD code?

Have you tested the memory? go to www.memtest.org and install Memtest on a floppy disk or a cd.

If the BSOD 0x0000007B, you need a SATA F6 driver on a floppy disk during the installation of XP.

  • Satellite A300D overheating using Linux OpenSuse 12.2

    Hello everyone.

I'm a linux user, I am currently using opensuse 12.2 with xfce as desktop environment.
I have a huge problem: my laptop is overheating and I can't sort.

I do not know how to configure the bios with the upgrade, because it seems that toshiba has an upgrade only to windows. I don't have a windows partition. I have already downgraded openSUSE 12.3 with gnome, xfce with the 12.2, but the pc still works more than 70 degrees with only a few applications (chrome and thunderbird). Can someone help me please? Thanks Paolo

  • Satellite P35-S609 - new HDD not accepted

    Hello

I am trying to install Windows XP (toshiba recovery CD) on a new hard drive Samsung HM160HC (160GB) on a Satellite P35-S609 but once the CD format the HD and copy all the files on the hard drive (to start installing XP) laptop does not boot from the hard drive, someone has an idea?

Obviously, the drive has no flaws, perhaps the bios V1.4 takes not more than 100 GB HD or I don't know if this is the limitation of Windows XP, the thing is he isn't still trying to start the start of HD - anyone have any idea?

    my email:
    [email protected]

    Hey Buddy,

Your new HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS?
You can install Windows on another drive?

Satellite P35 has old IDE interface and generally it s limited to 128GB HDD (> 120 GB). If the HARD disk is not recognized you use a 120 GB HARD drive only.

  • Satellite P35-6112 - looking for a recovery disc

    Hello

I am looking for a Toshiba Satellite P35-6112 recovery disk, my windows is completely out and can't go on or return to best Configuration safe mode... The laptop is 4 years old and the Toshiba recovery media does not include any drive for this laptop...

Please let me know if you have one, or where can I get a new one.

    Gerald Desmons

    Hello

AFAIK the Satellite P35 belongs to the American market and therefore, you should contact the nearest authorized service provider. Maybe guys can order a new disc of recovery for you:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com > locate a repair center

An alternative you can install Windows on a normal disc of Microsoft. All the drivers, you can download from the Toshiba page. :)

  • Satellite P35-S6112 - no sound after installing Windows 7

I installed Windows 7 on this Satellite P35-S6112 with its Realtek AC97 inside card. The card and the drivers work, but there is no volume. I can hear the sound with a very light helmet. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, attempt to update, but I installed current drivers.

Troubleshooting has been done and the system reports no problems. I am in desperate need of help here, as my daughter he needs for his college as his other laptop is in the shop. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi precisiononthe8,

    > but there is no volume
That means you don t have the speaker icon in the toolbar to change the volume? Well, maybe that icon is just disabled and you will have to enable it.

Right click on the taskbar > properties > taskbar > customize > toggle system icons > Volume. Set this to on speaker icon will be visible right now and you can change the volume.

    Check this box!

  • Satellite A300D - overheating after replace fan

    Hello
I just replaced the fan on my girlfriend A300D as on the old fan bearings were going and making it very loud and he had just gone out of warranty.

However, the computer keeps overheating with this new fan.
Everything is clean and the fan works and move the heat out, however the area around the touchpad becomes very hot and laptop computer often overheats and stops automatically.

Any advice on what could be the problem and what can be done to remedy this?

    Kind regards
    David

    Hi David!

Which fan did you use to replace? Is it the same as the old fan? Here you can compare part numbers, I guess the new fan is another.

Well, it's hard to say why the laptop is overheating if everything is clean. Have you cleaned using compressed air stream?

I think that in this case you need professional assistance of a technician for laptop. You can contact an ASP to get help:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider
