What facility changes Firefox wants to bring to my new Windows 10 PC?
I want to install Firefox on my new Windows 10 PC. The dialog box asks if it's OK for Firefox to make changes to my PC. I want to know what are the changes, before that I agree.
Basically, placing its own files on the hard drive and putting

I want to upgrade to a newer Windows operating system Windows Vista Home Pro 64-bit. What is the recommended procedure? I see that Windows 7 or 8, a free update to Windows 10 is offered. Should I buy 7 or 8 then you spend 10 or just buy 10?
Thank you
Jim
Hello
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.

Geez, you have to go to 10 different things even get here! I'm having a problem with getting a small version of firefox every time I open a new window but it is empty, it looks like your web page, I have to close it, to look at my site that I opened. I did a virus scan and there is nothing. I have windows and firefox is my homepage, btw when I go to IE I don't have this problem, seems like when firefox installs a new version of that something is happening.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe or make changes.

I did an upgrade FF v3.6.xx to v17.0.x and found that the order of items in the context menu 'Link' is not the same.
v3.6 menu looks as follows: 1. "Open link in a new window", 2. "Open link in a new tab,"
order of the items in menu v17.0 is 1 reverse. "Open link in a new tab", 2. " Open the link in a new window. "
Position of all the other elements are uninteresting to me.
How to exchange it two points higher in the contextual menu "link"?The two ways are useful:
"Drag-n-drop" in the Editor window works.
- Editing 'userChrome.css' https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/791244?page=2#answer-161497 .
For my Windows XP path looks like: "C:\Documents and Settings\%account%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\%random_name%\chrome\userChrome.css".

I use a laptop. When I click on a link or a text field, or when I start typing in the search box on gsmarena.com ... Firefox opens a new window with the active TAB. It's very annoying and I thought it will be OK, but now it began to arrive on PC too. It does not always happen with the same actions and is not reproduced.

Firefox suddenly stopped opening 'in a new window"when I ask-open"in a new tab"only
For the last two days, Firefox has suddenly stopped opening in a new window; Now, I can never have a window open at a time (even though she always let me open several tabs).
Tried everything down and rebooting not closing of course, but made no difference.
Don't have no knowledge of changing parameters - I changed or damaged something without knowing?
The only news I did recently, is download the add-on from the EPUB reader! Is there a link? Thanks a lot for your suggestions
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
See:

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

Firefox crashes when you open a new window
Firefox normally opens and runs until I properly - close all windows. When zero windows are present, and I go back to Firefox and ask for a new window, Firefox crashes. To solve the problem I have to force quit the application, which generates an Apple crash report. Occasionally Firefox has crashed on its own and generated a Mozilla crash report, but this is rare. I tried to disable all add-ons, but that has no effect.
As long as there is at least one Firefox window opens, the functions of the application normally. This problem only occurs when going from zero windows to stop.
After checking each Add on, beef Taco has been identified as the cause of the problem.

Hello world
After you open a new window or tab, Firefox 50 engages often in half a second to load the empty page before it allows me to enter an address. Could this be the suspicious activity of malware?
To show you, I recorded a video of him:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/drvmzrqqqjnopvo/Firefox%20page%20Loading.mov?DL=0
It also happens if NoScript, my single extension, is disabled.
Thank you!
I think that the problem is now cleared up. Firefox seems just in contact with their own server of telemetry. The HTTP log that shows the server
incoming. Telemetry.Mozilla.org
is contacted.

Normally, I have a specific start page. From there I open 4-5 other pages in the same window. It was easy before the 25th of Firefox, as the preceding pages have been posted. With the new version, this possibility has disappeared and been replaced by a page of Google. I want to get rid of this page and get back the sooner the pages used to click on. If this is not possible, I would get a blank page.
Hello
I'm not aware of any changes made to the Home Page or the new tab Page in Firefox 25. Maybe it's something else caused the problem.
The new tab Page is the page that appears when you open a new tab in Firefox. By default, it should show a number of thumbnails of Web sites you have recently visited or pinned there. More info here:
This feature has not changed in Firefox v25. If you see a Google search page instead of the default new tab page then something is wrong.
You can reset the setting for the page tab by following these instructions:
- In the URL bar, type about: config and press ENTER.
- The subject: config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click on that I'll be careful, I promise! to keep the comments: config page.
- In the search box, type "browser.newtab.url".
- Click the browser.newtab.url preference, and then click Reset. He must then change back to the default which is ' on: newtab'.
- Click OK and close all: config tab.
You can see that it works for a while, but ultimately the problem comes. I think it is likely that some malware is hijacking your browser and make changes to the settings. That's why the change was made in the first place without your permission.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
I also suggest you do the following:
- a comprehensive analysis with your current antivirus software.
- Watch your Firefox Add-ons and remove any that you install yourself - disable or remove modules
- Look at your list of applications from Windows startup and disable anything you think might be related or suspicious look.
- Look at your list of installed Windows applications and uninstall anything that you think might be related or suspicious look.
More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .

OK... um, I'm on Mac OS10.4.11 (not sure about the last two digits, but you get the idea). I installed the latest update of Firefox maybe a week ago... my monitor crapped out yesterday, so I replaced it with a bigger I had to hang out. I have used this monitor with this machine before and had no problem with getting Firefox to open links I clicked on in a new tab. As directed by your help site, I checked "size" of the monitor and it was as always. I have even reduced the "size" of the screen, but not joy.
What gives, oh a powerful?
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

Similarly clicking on a link in the email will not open a window. I can drag the link to Firefox and a new tab opens.
Also by clicking Tools-> Add-ons does not open a tab as before.
Troubleshooting extensions and themes
Clear the Cache and Cookies
Clear the Cache of the network
Check and tell if its working.

When you click on a thumbnail image that is supposed to open the same image in a pop-up window. (that is a larger version of the same image). Firefox appears in the popup box 'not found '.
The URL requested / undefined is not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument directive to manage demand. However, this does not work on other browsers? Any idea why this happens? Example http://motorpride.co.za/inventory.html. Click on any image of the car in the listIt is an error in the source of the page (href instead of the src of an image).
This should be onclick = "window.open (this.src,, 'height = 300, width = 400, left = 200, high = 200'); return false;" »
Just click with the right button on the image and middle - click on the entry to see the picture to see this image in a new tab

I downloaded a new XI Acrobat on the new computer.
Validation screens indicate that SN is valid.
In fact, it's on the same machine. I did just replace the
hard drive.
The validation dialog box requires a SN of earlier versions that
I also have. None of the products mentioned are the ones I had.
Finally, I have the original email receipt / registration to Adobe and download
directions which included my serial number XI. Directions
having worked in the past. They do not work now.
What is going on?
m
Hi mak1006,
Because you bought 11 Acrobat Pro upgrade, during installation the Setup program will try to find the previous version of qualification you OE and if it does not find one then you prompt to enter the old serial number.
You must select Acrobat Pro 10 (as it is the product that you owned before) and enter the serial number.
The installer must recognize and continue the installation process.
Let me know if you get stuck at any point.
Kind regards
Rave
