What is a ring of ring/tx rx in router?

Hi all

picture below describes a process routes of routers/switches package.

first router receives a packet

interface processor stores private packet buffer or public buffer memory.

above market.

What is a role of RX ring?

ring is a common memory (buffer) or a memory (buffer) dedicated to interface?

is there anyone which is a rx ring (ring of tx)?

Hello

I would add a little more.

As well as public and private swimming pools interface, Cisco IOS creates special buffer called rings control structures. Cisco IOS and controllers interface using these rings to control what pads are used to receive and transmit packets to the media. The rings themselves are made up of media-controller-specific elements that point to the individual package also buffers in memory of I/O.

Each interface has a pair of rings - a ring of reception for receipt of packages and a ring of transmission for the transmission of packets. The size of the rings varies with the interface controller. In general, the size of the ring of the show is based on the bandwidth of the interface or the VC and is a power of two (Cisco Bug ID CSCdk17210).

Kind regards

Kevin

  • I want to know what I need to look at when buying a router for 50 concurrent users, 1 server connection information

    Original title: router Question.

    Hi all

not sure if this is the right place to post but I was looking for some information about routers. specifically, I want to know what I need to look at when buying a router for 50 concurrent users, 1 server connection information. specifications, etc.

    Thanks :)

Some routers will define a limited number of simultaneous connections. Domestic routers rarely do because the assumption is that the environment will not include such a high number.

Ideally in a commercial environment you would separate on the hardware connection since the hardware firewall. It depends on the type of connection (ADSL?).

  • What does this mean and how to fix: the router address you entered is not compatible with your WAN IP address.

I connect to an access provider via Airport Extreme, which is extended through two Airport Express.  When I try to edit anything in one of these devices, even a name, I get this message: "you have entered the address of the router is not compatible with your WAN IP address.  My connection seems to work, but there is clearly something wrong with her.  The Express has no DNS and will not update without the same message.  I have no idea what this is all about and will greatly appreciate the ideas.

This means that WAN Setup does not or does not install across the network.

The best way to solve this problem is beginning on...

Reset all three at the factory and reconfigure each in turn. Do the extreme first and make sure it works... Then add the express.

If you need help with that we will need to know which modem or modem router to your ISP gave you and possibly the type of services to wide band... and who is the provider.

Give us screenshots of each installer as you do.

  • What is the difference between a G and N Router?

    original title: wireless routers

My husband likes to play games online. We have a router belkin g. When I'm on my computer it has trouble playing games on his computer. (It slows down his game) What is the difference between a G & N Router and could you recommmend? Need help as soon as POSSIBLE.

The difference in speed of router probably wouldn't do too much difference. You are only as fast as your slowest point, which is probably your internet connection itself. You could always talk to your ISP to knock your bandwidth so that there would be less impact. Sure, hit the bandwidth will probably bring a surcharge.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is the difference between call queues and priority routing?

and what is the difference between routing based on skills and the basic skills of routing?

    Suite...

Priority Queuing - Set Priority step can be used to assign a priority (1-10), or increase / decrease. This allows for a given

Contact (eg. calling) to priority over higher/lower than the other contacts that are in the same queue. In other words, the contact

priority for all s CSQ for which he is put on hold. In the script, you must use priority defined stage to assign a higher priority or less in Call Queuing.

Check the following URL, which described on stage "Set priority" to the title of the palette "CIM step Description.

Since we do not know what may have suggested to Jim, power cycle your router and the printer and force restart the iPad. Unplug the router and the printer power for 30 seconds. Plug in the router first and let it restart. And then reconnect the printer power supply. Then force restart the iPad. To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  • What is the mode of connection (ME918LL/A) current Airport Extreme support?

I have a setup of the airport with two airports of previous generation connected in Bridge mode. (NOTE that this is not the same thing as a network via a wifi - connection Wi - Fi). I want to upgrade one of the units. I believe I read somewhere that the current model of (ME918LL/A) does not support bridge mode but can't find information about this in the specifications of the device.

    Bridge ME918LL/a mode?

I believe I read somewhere that the current model of (ME918LL/A) does not support bridge mode but can't find information about this in the specifications of the device.

Your feelings are what they are, but as any airport, Bridge Mode router is available as an option in router Mode for the 802.11ac current version of AirPort Extreme.

Here is a screenshot of the ME911LL/A 802.11ac version of an Airport Extreme on the network here.

  • What kind of material I have to put in place a network of small business?

you have a small business with 4 desktop systems and 2 laptops mobile network. you want all of their network. What haredware would need to connect desktop computers and laptops to another so that they can share information?

Each computer will need a wired or wireless adapter. Depending on what cards you choose / have you'll need a router wireless and wired.

Since you have a laptop I guess they already have wireless adapters. In this case, you would want a wireless router. In my view, 802.11n, n being the important part, is the last great in the wireless.

  • Whenever I try to connect to my internet I get 'local internet only' and when I try to repair it it says that there may be a problem with your dns server.

problem with connecting to the internet

whenever I try to connect to my internet I get 'local internet only' and when I try to repair it it says that there may be a problem with your dns server, I looked for a solution for centuries now, and no one can seem to help me! Please someone help me?

    Hello

First off I'm going to assume that when you say "local internet only", you really mean "local only". Also, I'll assume you are using a router for internet connection broadband. If I am wrong, then you will have to describe the answer how you try to connect to the internet more in detail.

First of all, your router. The indicators show that there is an internet connection? Consult the manual, which probably came on a CD with the router. Internet connection led can resemble a planet with rings or a circle with a lower-case i in the middle of it, or some other symbol. It can also have a caption saying 'internet' or 'connected '. If the router is not connected while your PC will not have access to the internet.

Click the Start button and type "cmd" then press ENTER. In the window type (mainly black) which results in ipconfig and press to enter. Transcribe the results of the command ipconfig for a response.

Your (wired or wireless) network card is set to automatically get an ip address? Otherwise, set it to do that and also to get information from DNS server automatically...

    • Right-click on the icon network at the bottom right of your screen, and then click Network and sharing Center
    • In network and sharing Center, click on manage the network connections (on the left)
    • Right click on 'Connect to the Local network' or 'Wireless Network Connection' depending on how you connect to the router
    • Click on select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click the properties button
    • If things are not set to 'automatic', please note all numbers so that you can restore the settings if necessary
    • Make sure that "Obtain an IP address automatically" and 'DNS server automatically get an address' is selected, then click OK
    • Click on close

If you are using a wireless connection, what happens if you try to connect to your router with an Ethernet cable?

Please post back with your comments to the above and give more details about your configuration, i.e. router brand and model (or another material of Internet), if you connect wireless or with an Ethernet cable, etc. etc.
