What is a typical export time?

I export a segment of 1 minute of a 1 hour movie and it takes about 10 minutes for export. The file is a MOV file of 11 GB, stored on an external 2 TB USB drive and imported into first. I've set up to export as a 640 X 360 px to 29.97 px film cadence with the other default settings. Using an Imac of two years, 21 inches with 16 GB of memory and a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor.  A few weeks ago, I reformatted the Mac because it was getting slow.

Is this typical to take ten minutes to export a movie in 1 minute?

Is it possible to do it faster?

Thanks for any help.

For what interests me, in doing so, just cut the excess of a very long video, QuickTime is much better. He was able to open the file and I was able to copy on the segment I wanted and he re-record in a few seconds. If I need to play with the short file I use the first, but it's nice to have a quick and dirty solution.

What should be the parameters when I do a new sequence?

When I look into the window in Premiere Pro I constantly have to "shrink" the image to fit the window, is that something I should do or he says that the configuration of the sequence is bad?

But more importantly what should be the parameters of export? I exported a long video of 4 minutes and the size was 1 GB, I know that it's too big.

I need to export without losing quality and export another one which is consistent with the limits on the size of Youtube and Vimeo.

Vimeo is 500 MB per week, sometimes I download 4 videos per week. I think that Youtube, you can download 500 MB at a time.

I need to get the smaller size with lose the least possible quality AND the best export quality settings, so I suppose I have 3 separate issues.

How can I see what backups are on the time capsule? My laptop is also saved to the time capsule. Everything is in 'Data' when I look through the Airport utility. Time Machine backup to a sparsebundle.

The sparsebundle will use the share name of computer. So, it should be obvious who is your Macbook and that is your Macpro.

Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...

You has of course set the exclusion in Time Machine?

By default, Time Machine will exclude your second drive unless you have included it. Did you?

Once you get to this level during the backup, you can do a full restore manually whenever you want.

    Superior...

After all, the chip is mainly a modem.

Wireless is there but not designed as the primary connection.

Wireless 802.11n 300Mbps AP with 2 x 2 MIMO Wireless bridge, WDS multiple SSID, including isolated invited SSID WiFi QoS (WMM) and PowerSave wireless security: • Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2) • AES, TKIP, WEP encryptio

It is the Wireless N standard.

The TC is dual-band simultaneous AC1750... even if in fact apple never leaves anything use 300mbit on the 2.4 GHz is more like AC1450... It is also 3 streams on both bands not 2 x 2.

  • What is the interval of time between the virtual machine Linux and ESXi host synchronization?

I have ESX5.0 with a centos6 installed on this linux virtual machine.

After the installation of vmware for Linux virtual machine tools, I activated the time synchronization between the virtual machine linux and ESXi host through vmware-toolbox-cmd.

I wonder what is the interval of time between the virtual machine linux and ESXi host synchronization? If I quickly time OS system, when the OS system time will sync back to the ESXi host?

    According to http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/techpaper/Timekeeping-In-VirtualMachines.pdf:

By default, the demon checks the guest only once per minute operating system clock.

However, depending on whether the guest is behind or in front of the result is different. So, please read the section "periodic synchronization" (at least) in the document mentioned above.

  • What is the best way to improve PreE10 export time?

Import mts directly from a HARD drive or sd card using the importer PreE10. Then I add titles, audio fades and transitions and then export to DVD. At the present time, my plans are 60 min + ~ 4 min black exported directly from PreE10 such as SD on a DVD and video length.  It takes on average 94 minutes to complete this task.

What can I do/upgrade to speed up this process?

    Specifications of the computer:

    Windows 7 Professional

    -Intel Core i7-3770

    8 GB RAM DDR3

SanDisk 128 SSD (OS + programs)

WD Blue 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD (all media)

    650 1 GB GTX

Purchase of an another SSD would help? Upgrading my processor have dramatically improve time? Or should invest in Premiere Pro and upgraded GPU?

I want to stay with PreE10, but if there is nothing more that can be done to improve considerably the time, I would consider going to the next level with Premiere Pro.

I'm strictly a Windows elements user and escaped the cloud so far. It seems that the cloud is still involved in the trial. When I went to the Adobe download page for this and click on download, I was struck with an opinion about the need for a "creative cloud Manager." I did not pursue the path beyond that at this time.

When burning to the (4.7 GB) or folder (8.5 GB), Premiere Elements burn ' on file generates two folders, one called OpenDVD and the other the VIDEO_TS. It's the VIDEO_TS folder which is our only home. It is the same VIDEO_TS you would have if you have burned your Timeline to disk. The important difference in the two approaches is that burn results of disc in DVD-VIDEO format on the right disk file system. Your burn the folder VIDEO_TS folder must be on a disk with the right to file system. Program like ImgBurn can do that. You don't have to bother with any mention of a folder Audio_TS which could be mentioned in the instructions.

    Open ImgBurn

Select the folders/files to disk write

In the interface that opens, go to file Menu/browse a Source folder and do just that, search and find your file to your Premiere Elements burn VIDEO_TS folder.

Under Options, double check to have

    Data type: MODE1/2048

    File system: ISO9600 + UDF

Revision of the UDF = 1.02

Then simply follow the instructions from there. There will probably be a message about volume labeling. Click Yes.

Then compare the time consumed in

First burn items to the folder + ImgBurn process

    with

First burn items to a disc

I'll see what I can find out about Premiere Pro CS6 tryouts.

    Later.

  • Can what files I exclude from Time Machine backups?

I use Firefox on OS X Mavericks. I use Time Machine to back up this computer. I know that Time Machine avoid automatically save my web cache. But which of the files in my directory profile I can't back up? I am particularly interested in the webappstore.sqlite, cookies.sqlite and healthreport.sqlite since they are on the larger end and seem to change frequently.

I have already excluded bookmarkbackups and places.sqlite. I have the browser the value automatically export my favorites so if I need to restore my computer I'll revisit my favorites but not my browsing history, that seems reasonable.

What type of data is useful for you?

A reset for example keeps personal data such as bookmarks (places.sqlite, JSON safeguards), history (places.sqlite), biscuits (cookies.sqlite), (signons.sqlite and key3db) passwords, form data (formhistory.sqlite), open tabs (sessionstore.js)

See the following articles on the file information:

  • Strange question on export: time-lapse images fades after export

I'm doing a video where I speed up a bunch of images 1000 to 2000%. When I play in the timeline, it seems normal. After that I exported it, however, it's blurred.

In the export settings and clip, "Interpolation of time" has the value of aerial survey.

The layer source footage is h.264 QT 29.97 FPS, export file is the same.

    Anyone know what is happening?

You export the file as an interlaced (upper or lower field order)?

If so, try to export the file in progressive format (order of progressive value fields).

  • What is the best export option to get a final document of the mobile environment?

It is only 8 pages, but this file is 9 MB when recording as the smallest file size. Compressed Zip, 5 mb. YIPES.

I'm googling and finding no answers. Can someone help me get this PDF to a size easy to mobile?

The way I do it now is by exporting the pdf and on the compression tab I adjust to 110-120ppi, ensure its 'coated US web' tab out, under compression.

Here's what we use. in the tab compression, color images, "cubes of sampling to bi" = 110, "for the images above" = 120

grayscale, "cubic sample to bi" = 110, "for the images above" = 120

monochrome images, 'cubic sample to bi' = 300, "for the images above' = 450

I hope this helps. I would also put the preset in the "lo res" so you don't have to remember it all the time

  • Report-exporter - time makes no sense

    Using vCloud meter use v2.2

When I 'Browse' the detailed report of the use, the format of the time is 11 04:05, i.e. day 11 at 04:05. Logic so far.

When I 'export' of this same report, time is in the format 1318266300358. How can I make sense of that?

Also how is RAM billing it calculated? I have 16000 samples and each of the numbers of billing RAM is just half of the RAM to the virtual machine. Is there more than that?

To test this, I added more vRAM to a virtual machine and RAM billing also doubled even if the virtual machine is not actually using the extra RAM more

I need to build a VM and client billing report, which will be used to bill my clients. So I make sure I'm that becomes clearer.

Noises of her I could just divide my vRAM by 2, then divide the total amount that I am charged every month and not even concerned the counter usage reports?

The timestamp in the detailed billing report and detailed use is in ms since January 1, 1970.  Although export of the billing reports was not initially intended to be dealt with by the end user, you can convert the format of stamp of linux machine in a human readable format.  There are some examples on how to do it online depending on the application you are using.

Also how is RAM billing it calculated?

RAM of billing is calculated for each virtual machine in the collection, not at the time of the report.  Starting with version 2.1, billing vRAM was awarded vRAM based switch, which means that the virtual machine has been configured as, for booking vRAM based with a minumum of 50% reservation.

    A few examples:

If the VM reserved vRAM is set between 0-50% of allocated, bills to a minimum of 50% usage meter.

    Example 1:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: 0GO

Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

    Example 2:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: 1 GB

Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

    Example 3:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: 2 GB

Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

If the VM reserved vRAM are configured between 51 and 100% of allocated, bills to real rate usage meter.

    Example 4:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: 2.5 GB

Billing vRAM: 2.5 GB (min 50%)

    Example 5:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: / 3 GB

    Billing vRAM: / 3 GB (min 50%)

    Example 6:

    Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

    VRAM reserved: 4 GB

Billing vRAM: 4 GB (min 50%)

If you use vCloud Director in your service provider configuration, please know the model of distribution of VDC which is used by your customers and understand Pay As You Go model of default allocation to 100% booked vRAM unless amended by the service provider.  What this means is that, unless changed, each deployed virtual machine will be clocked at 100% reserve vRAM and use of the virtual machine will be charged similar to example 6.

Also, using the global billing report, make sure you enter the Cape by MV 24576 (24 GB) memory whose size limit that bills VMware against.  Customers can deploy larger virtual machines, but VMware caps the size to the accusation.  If there are virtual machines more than 24 GB, you would see a difference in the Total global VRAM and vRAM total billing where vRAM total billing would be less.

Note: Column names can be terribly confused and we approach this more other customer feedback in the next release scheduled for Q1 2012.  Please refer to the GBA as vRAM Total total = Total billed without vRAM memory CAP and total billing = Total vRAM charged vRAM with memory of Cap.  Also be aware that the global billing report also has the calculation of vRAM booking already built since it was taken into account at the time of collection.  This report shows just gross GB use by license type for the month.  You will still need to factor in the number of hours in the month and by type of license points, but refer to you aggregators instructions on how to do it.

How are you using the consumption meter to charge your customers back and you are not using vCenter Chargeback Manager?  The measure of consumption is designed for VMware for use of meter service provider and does not factor in other services and features allowing service providers to their customers?

  • Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

-J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

-J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

-This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

-Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

-Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.

    This raises several questions:

-In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?

-Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?

-What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?

-What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).

-How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.

Could someone explain what is exactly happening?

With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.

All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.
