What is the speed of HARD drive disk Fusion 1 TB iMac 21.5 4 k?

OK, so everybody knows that we're stuck with 24 GB of SSD on the 1 TB drive of Fusion on the 4 k, iMac 21.5. Water under the bridge and Yes, not something extremely attractive according to my personal POV.

What I need to know, however, is what the (mechanical) part of HARD drive on this drive? I know that the model used by 5 k a 24 GB SSD + HDD 7200 RPM as their 1 TB Fusion option.

But what of the 21.5? Will I get 24 GB SSD + 7200 rpm or the (famous) 24 GB + 5200 RPM.

Thanks for the help!

  • Qosmio G20-114: what are the features of hard drive?

I just deleted one of my harddrives to my G20 114 so that I can work on my data while my laptop was being repaired.

My plan was to put in a case of hard drve 2.5 "usb. I was also going to use a spare hard drive 100 GB I need to act as a backup of the operating system drive.

However, it seems that the arrangemnt pins on the drive, I removed from my Qosmio is different from what I'm used to and it does not seem to hold in the external box. I guess also for this reason that the spare drive I used to fit into the Qosmio. I guess I must be missing something as this may not be the case here. They use some sort of different player in these machines or have I forgot something obvious?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

AFAIK the Qosmio G20 was delivered with S - ATA drives.
The HARD drive is fixed by 4 screws on the HARD drive carrier.
Did you remove this media from HARD disk?
This is perhaps a question why the HARD drive does not fit into the case.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Sorry but I don't understand your reference to a 'port' for the hard drive.  A 'port' is typically a connector on the case of a laptop when you plug a cable any in.  And, in this sense, there is no "port" for the hard drive.

This link is to the Service and maintenance for your PC Guide: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5271152&docId=emr_na-c03404932&docLocale=en_US

Information hard disk, as well as the replacement instructions, begin on page 37.  Understand, though, that this isn't a deletion-the-cover, ease of use; Instead, you must disassemble the laptop.  Unless you are experienced in doing that, my recommendation is to have the disk swap is completed in an HP Service Center.

  • What is the function of hard drive recovery?

Updated from XP to 7 Home Premium and find a record 14.6 GB is only currently 9.6 GB free. What is function of this drive?

A recovery disk drive is installed by major computer manufacturers (by example, Acer, Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) and contains the information necessary to return the hard drive from the original computer to its factory configuration.  For example, if you were to read the Guide to the user supplied with your PC and your PC originally came with Windows Vista preinstalled at the factory, the user's Guide would teach you how to use the recovery disk to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows Vista. External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.

  • Satellite P300 - 20 H - what should I do after HARD drive recovery?

    Hello

I just picked up my Satellite P300 - 20 H, using HARD drive recovery,

Any ideas as to what I should do now? Laptop backed up, HDD Recovery wiped and returned the laptop to factory default. What should I do now? I never wiped a laptop or a PC before. I did the restore via the HARD disk and all came back when I got the laptop almost 2 years ago but now I have 108 updates to windows, and my Toshiba Tempro does not work.
I have to update all the drivers on the laptop and if so, how do I know what needs to be updated and how can I do this?

I went to the Toshiba site and he gave me a list of the drivers available for my particular model but I am not sure how much of these driver updates, I need to actually download and update.

If someone could help me it would be really appreciated.
I would be delighted if someone could just explain to me, because I don't know anything about pc / laptop and just want my laptop back to power. So that everything works correctly. I read in the section of the conductors, on toshiba.com that not all windows service packs must be downloaded not all work along the coast Toshiba laptops. So im stuck if I have to download and install updates Windows 108 that are required to be installed also.

Hope someone can help out me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,.

I m wondering about your question: it seems that you have made the recovery of HARD drive but you didn t know what HDD recovery not right?
As you have noticed, it will restore your computer back to factory settings. You have the same settings that you have purchased. It is therefore useful if Windows doesn t start more or you want to reinstall Windows.

You can use your laptop as before: there is no difference. All Windows updates should be installed, that's very important because they are security updates day and you help protect your computer. So, start Windows updates and follow the installation.

Site Web de Toshiba driver updates aren't important, only when you notice problems. If this isn't the case, you can forget the driver updates. ;)

    Thank you

Not in the way you probably do. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 50. Unlike the Envy 17 and Pavilion dv7, Pavilion 17 has that a single hard drive Bay. The only way to add a second hard drive is to remove the DVD (optical drive) and insert a DVD to the hard drive bay adapter. The manual shows how to remove the DVD player and you can buy the adapter at amazon.com or jacobsparts.com. Note that this is a 9.5 mm thick disc, not a 12.7 mm. Both types are available. I do not recommend the adapter DVD player solution because you lose the use of the optical drive, and also because the interface of optical drive is usually not as fast as the main hard drive interface. Always fast enough for simple storage and you can run a video of her, but you do not want to edit the video of this disc, for example.

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

If you decide to go the route of adapter DVD I would buy a large capacity 5400 RPM SATA 2.5 inches wide and drive hard thickness 9.5 mm. No sense in buying a reader more expensive high-performance.

  • Low beginning on Satellite M40-145 after changing the 160 GB HARD drive

    Hello

I own a Satellite M40-145 since 2005. After more than two years without any problem, two weeks ago the 80 GB hard drive to the original address has been damaged. So I had to replace it with a new, 160 GB (this replacement was made in a store because it's out of warranty).

I used successfully on the new HARD drive recovery CD to install Windows XP and all the drivers (just as when it was new).
I used Partition Magic to create a partition of D for data. Also, I installed Office 2003, Norton 360 and connected to the Internet.
It worked quickly with only small problems than perhaps with little patience I could fix: as this Bluetooth hardware is not detected and the wireless switch began with the lights off even being in the position we (it worked with new just switching out-lit again). But suddenly, after only one day of use, Windows starts became very slow. It takes about 4-5 minutes until it is possible to use the laptop.

Now, I tried many possibilities to solve the problem, but always ending on the same problem: I used the recovery CD again and try to use the computer with or without updates (I thought that maybe the problem was due to a bad update), with and without Internet access, etc.
I also tried in vain the program Microsoft Bootvis to try to speed up the startup, etc.

I even created an image with Acronis to only with XP and Office running fast, so that I could install it again and try new things.
I also tried to clean the registry with various programs like CCleaner, TuneUp 2008
Also the defrag JKDefrag and PageDefrag. But always returning to the same problem after a few days of good conduct.

I don't know what else I could do. I wonder if maybe the new HD is damaged (although I test and no error or no damage was detected) or if the update BIOS might resolve this problem (I'm not and that's a big risk).

    Please, could someone help me?
Thank you very much for your attention.
    Pablo

In my view, that there is nothing wrong with the software or all drivers on you laptop.
I think the key is the enormous size of the HARD drive.

The difference between 80 and 160 GB is huge.

To my knowledge, the BIOS supports a limit on the size of HARD drive and I really wonder why the 160 GB HARD drive has been recognized by the BIOS.

However, I think you should test a 100 GB, 120 GB HDD if the same question perhaps if poster using a HDD a size smaller.

    Best regards

  • Cursor flashing at the start of the system and hard drive not working do not on the other computer

Original title: I need help with my Hardrive

Recently I had problems with a hard disk of computers. So I'm going to give guys the full story, I fell on this computer, it's actually my mums computer and it had a blue screen at startup error. I'm sorry, but I don't remember that the error was called on the top of my head, basiclly I quikly searched online and alll they say should use fixboot. So I did and the computer booted Windows XP very well. So the next day, when I was starting the machine (just to let you know, it would be the first start since I used fixboot, other than the right after that, I don't know if it would make a difference).

In any case, while trying to start, there was just a slider, or as underscore that retain just flashing in top left corner. I thought that maybe I should reinstall windows on another partition so my files would be safe. I did it, the installation program had no problem with it, but when I booted up I got the same line of flashing underscore / cursor in the upper left corner.

I thought that maybe I should back up the hard drive using my other computer so I tried to plug in the hardrive in my work computer and the hardrive started to heat up and as if it worked but any hardrive was getting into my computer, I refreshed it, started the computer upward once again, nothing.

So my question is what is the problem with this hardrive and how I save? I'm ready to do anything, use the live CD, using another computer. I have precious moments of family on the hardrive.

    Thank you guys

    Hi Joemost,

As you have important data on the hard drive. We recommend that you contact the vendor of hard drive to diagnose hard drive or visit the nearest tech store to save your data.

There are chances that the boot files are missing on the computer and also you could have not connected the hard drive as a slave when you connected to the other computer. Once you have saved the data, you can repair the existing windows and check if it starts successfully.

Try these steps to repair install Windows XP:
    a. start the computer using the XP CD. You may need to change the boot order in the BIOS OF THE system for the CD starts before the hard drive.
    b. on the "Welcome" screen, press ENTER to start the installation of Windows.
    c. accept the license agreement and Windows will search for existing installations of Windows.
    d. Select the XP installation you want to repair in the list, press R to start the repair.
    e. the installation program copies the necessary files to the hard disk and restart.  Do not press any key to boot from CD when the message appears. Setup will continue as if it were a clean install, but your applications and settings are preserved.
    f. when the installation is complete, check if Windows starts correctly.
