What is the secondary text Mode?

On phones with classic phone keypad, secondary text mode usually iTap or not.  What does secondary text on Karma?

I see no difference when you type a message with the secondary text mode on or off.

TIA

Jefe-

Usually on other phones, you have been able to set. So, for example, I have Spanish as my secondary iTAP and iTAP English as my first. If I am crazy, I switch to Spanish. Usually, you press the star or hash key and it switch back to MultiTap, if that's more your style.

  • What is the button text entry box to submit to?

    Hello

I thought that the button 'submit' set the value of the variable related to the text entry area, but I just realized that the value is set at the same time that the user enters a value.  So now my question is what does 'send' in fact?

It triggers the assessment of the value in the variable associated with the text input box.

  • What are the numbered text KB files? (i.e. KB961503)

I have many text files in Windows labeled as follows... KB961503 (all figures are different) and some are followed by v2, v3 or IE8.  There are over 165 of them in windows, should I remove?

You can refer to the created log files when Windows 'Patches' are installed by Windows Update (for example, KB961503.log).  If you have configured to "Hide extensions for known file types" Windows Explorer, you will not see the .log extension, but the files will open probably still in Notepad, when you double-click them.

The first lines of these files should be something like:

    [KB2559049 - IE8.log]
    3.359: ================================================================================
    3.359: 2011-08-09 23:58:28.231 (local)
    3.359: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\0c4605390d76df6e08bd7638facea692\update\update.exe (version 6.3.13.0)

If the patch is installed correctly, the newspaper has no use and can be removed.  If you have a problem with a particular update, it is possible that the newspaper will have clues about the problem.

The KBxxxxxx.log files are not the same as the files in $ $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx.  These latter files are used to uninstall the "fix" that never would become necessary or desirable.  $NTUninstall files generally do not take much room, but some people like to delete to get out a little more hard disk space.  Before that, read this: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm

  • HP envy 7640: auto answer or the number of rings (what's the difference) and other parameters

I have a distinctive ring on my line. I trained the fax to recognize the correct fax ring. The problem is that when a fax arrives, it is not meet and receive but (on screen) asks me to accept the fax? What happens if a fax comes in the middle of the night. I won't be there to accept it.

I don't know if I should choose or auto answer (in the Fax preferences) off the coast .

I would logically assume that if I set the automatic answer on IT, if distinctive ring is detected, he would answer the fax.

I don't know why it would make a difference rings how I choose, if it detects the distinctive ring, because he must accept the fax when it 'hears' distinctive ring, no matter how many rings is selected. I would hear not rather the fax ringer and ringing if he can respond quickly. But of course, I want to keep it ringing until I answer if it is a phone call.

The fax should not reply if it does not detect the distinctive ring, regardless of how many rings is selected.

I want to understand how these two settings relate to each other when the fax is on the same line as the phone with a distinctive ring.

Is there documentation that explains the fax Preferences settings and the choices that you can refer me to? Otherwise, we're all just guessing on these parameters! Some are ovbious or explicit. Others?

for example, what is scan and fax method (On or Off)

    What is stamps?

What is the error correction mode?

    What is backup fax reception?

What is HP digital fax? (he says to refer to the operating instructions... There is no info in the manual of tiny)

  • How can I set up a list of the Figures with the extra text?

I am writing my thesis Art History, which includes a large group of figures at the end.  My Counsellor asked that I caption images, but also provide a list of Figures before starting the actual pictures.  I got this far - I use the Table of contents feature for automatically numbered captions and then back up the text of the legend to the list of Figures.

Here's the rub: I need to include information on where I got the pictures I use attribution, but only in the list of figures.  My Adviser has specifically requested that I don't include this information in the captions as he felt that it cluttering up the images.  How can I include small amounts of text (for example "after Jones 1987, Fig. 22") for hundreds of images in the list of Figures without putting this info in the legends themselves?

Of course, just by typing the information in the list Figures does not - as soon as the list is updated the extra text is deleted.  I've been playing with the hidden layers, but when I create a new layer mask with blocks of text, the numbering of the original layer is disrupted.  Any ideas on how to keep numbers and include additional information in the list of Figures without adding it to the visible caption? I would be very grateful for any help.

Maybe at the end of your legend, in a [None] color text, 0.1 pt size? Do not put in a separate paragraph, because you have to pick this up as well for your table of contents. To change this little invisible text, you can use the story editor.

(And I'm far enough, which suggests making it conditional text, that you would normally hide, have it show only when you generated the list of Figures, before some awake dormant brain cells and required attention.)

"Course it would work - you would get the extra text in your list, and if you hide conditional text once again, your document is reversed 'normal' State." However, what makes the conditional text visible can cause your text reformattingand so your regular content would be nice but the list of Figures - generated with more text in your document! -could be shifted a few pages...)

  • What is the category "secondary"?

I have Lightroom 5. I want to add a location to each of my photographsm, but only to see a 'secondary' category in the metadata. This is where I should put, country, State, city information? Or secondary means what?

    Thank you!

In the Panel metadata the library on the right, when you select a location you should see secondary fields, city, State / Province, country and ISO country Code.

"Secondary" is defined by the IPTC standard to contain: "name of a secondary location, content focuses on - location illustrated by the media city by media text or audio or Visual." This place name might be the name of a secondary to a city location or the name of a well-known place (natural) monument outside the city. In the sense of a secondary location to a city this item is the fourth level of a top-down geographical hierarchy. »

While business users may have very specific agreements on the use of the secondary, you're free to use it for anything you want (except if you have a business must follow the conventions of someone else).  So you can enter the name of a neighborhood, a Museum, a natural monument, a park, or anything else you want.

  • Firefox displays only numbers and no text in some web sites. whereas the Internet shows explore them all to the same web site. What is the solution?

When I click on a link in a web site, it is supposed to show the details on another page of the same website with text and numbers. But it only shows numbers. Why?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

Alternatively, you can try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if it helps in the case where your security (firewall, antivirus) software causes this problem.

  • What is the problem with flight mode, by pretending to be on?

We have several Yogas Thinkpad Windows 10 X 1, who (commentary on the https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-and-Sierra-EM7345-problem-with-Mobi...) wireless connectivity problems, but this post is related to airplane mode.

Our devices show the airplane as mode 'ON' in the 10 Windows Action Center, but the 'OFF' in the Windows 10 network and Internet settings. Wireless and mobile phones will continue to work, but the airplane mode button is always blue (see the attached screenshot).

We have updated our wireless drivers and this problem still exists, what is happening here?

    AE_Support,

Thank you for sharing your experience with different designs of airplane Mode in 10 Windows Action Center and 10 Windows network settings and Internet.

This is a known limitation of Windows 10 threshold 2 v1511 and has been resolved in Windows 10 Redstone 1 released by Microsoft in August.

  • What is the exact difference between secure mode and diagnosis

I am repairing a pc and have done everything I can do in terms of diagnosing the problem. The only thing she shrinks down is to start in safe mode but not in diagnosis or vga mode. It is the same even when you use another defective hard drive. It must be a hardware component on the motherboard. I deleted and all the other components. I disabled designed in bios and Device Manager. What is the difference between secure mode and diagnosis?

Thanks in advance for any help

It was the capacitors on the motherboard that needed to change. It works fine now.

  • What is the difference between the USB modes and when to use them?

Hi everyone, I am a new user of Clip 8 GB and have read some documents here.  I am now totally confused as to what are the 3 modes various usb and when to use them.  I only move & paste books audio mp3 to my clip at the moment, but hope to soon try to download from the internet libraries.  I left my USB for auto detects and had no problem to upgrade to the new firmware, or to see one of my books.  I tried the other two modes and sees again all 3 of my books.  I don't want to complicate, while I suggest you to use it for everything?  Or is it possible?  I want to download mp3 from sites books and burn them on cd as a backup, so it doesn't go away in 2 weeks time.  This way I can put it on the clip when I'm done with my course books.  Is it possible, or can you only download directly on your clip?   Thanks from a newbie.   Aliza

Three modes are MSC, PSG and Autodetect, sometimes called AutodeFect.  But you probably know the names.

MSC, aka UMS, treats the Clip as a flash drive when it is connected to a computer.  Drag and drop.

PSG is Microsoft to 'manage' your 'rights '.  Transferred files can be limited to a number of ways and can 'end', then you will need to reauthorize them.

I suspect that the books of the library must be transferred in MTP mode, so that you can only "check them out" for a limited period of time.  If so, burn them on a CD do you no good, as they will always expire.

I've never had a need to MTP mode, but I can at some time try an audiobook from my library of the city, in which case I'll need to.

Theoretically, they work together very well.  You can see all files when using the clamp.  The computer can see files transferred in MTP mode when connected to the MTP and MSC transferred only when connected to the CSM.  AutoDetect, who knows the devil.  I would like to avoid it like the plague.

As for use, I suggest using MSC for everything, unless it won't work, what try DPW.
