  • Qosmio X 770: Installation Question: driver laptopvideotogo

Sorry, this is a newbie question. So I went to this laptopvideo2go site to download the latest driver for my X 770. Accompanying each driver is this .inf file.

Apparently, we are called to install both.
I downloaded the latest driver only and installed without any problems. I have not installed the .inf file.

What is the .inf file for and WHAT happens if you install so?
If I have to install it, how to do?

Can I install the INF file first or the driver?

Is it possible to just install the driver and ignore the inf file?

  • I bought a used computer and do not know the password to unlock

I bought a used computer. I don't know the password. The password can be removed and mine used to unlock? The former owner is not available.

Best to make a/Clean Custom installation of XP. Never can tell what the unwanted (like viruses) may exist.

    (1) Note the make and model of your computer.

    (2) check that the 25-character product key is always fixed to the case or at the bottom of your laptop.

    3) go to the support of the manufacture web site and know what "F" key, you will need to press on when the computer starts, run a reinstallation of XP (or use the recovery media if you have a).

    (4) reinstall XP and create a new user account. Note: If you use the support CD of 'Recover' you will need to re-enter the product key to activate Windows.

  • Showing in the form of folder icon and cannot access network drive icon

    Hi team,

The network drive that I drew in my computer using my profile isn't allowing me to access.

The network drive icon shows as a folder icon and it says access denied even if I have the permissions to access the file on the server.

The server we use is the exchange Server 2003.

But I am able to access the files inside the drive using the Option RUN as well as Address bar in my computer.

And I am able to access the folder on the server without any problem.

The operating system I use is Windows XP.

But it worked for someone else, when I deleted a file named autorun.inf in the folder of the shared drive on the server!

Could you please tell me what is autorun.inf and he really causes this problem in the drive on the server or is there any other reason.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Formerly peripheral usb stop recognized

Can someone tell me what are the INF files are responsible for the generic recognition USB deviecs, such as USB hubs and the HID devices (keyboard, mouse,...), or what else might have broken into my system that causes the following symptoms?

For a long time, my system has ceased to recognize some, but not all USB devices.  USB ports are fine, he reads the device descriptors but then said that material is unknown or says that it cannot find a driver for it.

The second symptom that must have started at the same time, it is that he "forgets" on some USB devices that have always worked well before, with the same result: suddenly is 'unknown' or 'impossible to find a driver.

Two weeks ago, it was my keyboard.  He has always worked when I logged in (it had, I used it my password).  Immediately after logging in, the new found hardware thing jumped upward, within a few seconds it says that it is impossible to install my new hardware, and at that time, my keyboard no longer works.  Never found a solution, I have been using a PS2 keyboard instead. I tried other USB keyboards, he did not identify any of them.

Yesterday was my monitor's built-in USB hub that suddenly transformed into an 'unknown device', and nothing that I connect it is no longer detected. The only thing that is always good for now is as a power source to recharge my cell phone.

To try to fix that, I launched the Device Manager and let him to search for new hardware.  Result: instead of my USB hub starts working again, my Logitech wireless mouse stopped working. The 'USB receiver' now appears with an exclamation point, "the drivers for this device are not installed.  It worked fine for a few seconds before.

Now I'm back with a wired USB mouse, but I wonder how long it will continue to work.

[Edit] Until someone suggests: I tried a few things that I found on the web as suggestions for similar problems.

    * Reinstalled the Intel chipset drivers.

    * In device manager, uninstalled all the USB controllers and let the system re - detect the.

    It changed nothing.

[Edit 2] I still had a "Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0' (long name for a small thing) lying around.  The wireless receiver is always recognized, that's just the Logitech "unified receiver ' of my Logitech M510, which is not. It is not the receiver who is at fault: when I plug it in, it appears in device management with the right name and the device ID USB\VID_046D & PID_C52B & REV_1201 - USB\VID_046D & PID_C52B and status "the drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) ».

    * Fixed! *

If we compare the %SystemRoot%\Inf contents to another system to Win7-64, I noticed this USB file. Missing info.  Copied to the system, the Device Manager started and re-installed drivers for non-working devices, and the problem is solved.
  • Autorun/autoplay in Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition

Guys, please, please, please help me! I worked as a worm, trying to fix my autoplay in my computer! In any case, I have come back with history. Yes, I enabled the detection of shell service. Yes, I have AutoPlay enabled in the control panel. Yes, I've changed the two keys NoDriveTypeAutorun to 0, and it does not work, then back to 91 and still did not work. Yes, I restarted. Now, I have Flight Simulator x, and inside it is the autorun.inf file, it says that the AutoPlay window should show the FSX icon and the name of the renamed Flight Simulator x disc 1 disc and show the autorun.exe file. When I put it in my computer, however, the computer thinks it's a DVD image, and my options are to import pictures using Windows... Also, the FSX icon is not displayed, and the disc was not known to what the autorun.inf file says he is. I put the drive in another PC Windows 7 and it worked like a charm... FSX, FSX name icon and run autorun.exe right there on the AutoPlay. Why it does not work for me? I've tried everything! Thank you if you read all this.

Here is a picture I took with Snipping tool: http://twitpic.com/5b9uws/full
As you can see, the FSX icon is not there, and the disc has not been renamed... In addition, there are no files run Setup.exe or whatever it is called on the game.

Hello... I fixed it. I went to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/161443-autorun-inf-files-completely-block.html and downloaded entirely actiavte autorun to how it is supposed to be the registry key. And so it works now perfectly. Everything works like a charm, except my external hard drive, which is autorun file .ico image to turn the regular hard disk image into the computer for the WD logo. Maybe you can help me with this?

  • What is a MosChip program called pci ports. INF?

I show this pci ports.inf file in my list of programs about ccleaner. I have not installed it to my knowledge what is? and can I remove it? running xp pro and ie8. Thank you.

Which is for the PCI, based on serial port or parallel installation file Netmos product. NetMOS was later acquired by Moschip, so their names can be appear.

If you have recently installed any PCI serial port/parallel, or some other hardware base that internally could use that, then you will get this file. Also if you already had this component in your system and updated the driver to use the latest update of windows, then also this driver will be highlighted recently.

In my opinion, is not a dangerous file and you can continue to use it safely.

  • What I would do, my computer has so many unwanted programs, is to reinstall Vista and not all HP programs that I don't want.

What I would do, my computer has so many unwanted programs, is to reinstall Vista and not all HP programs that I don't want.  It seems to make the computer too slow.  I don't have a Vista disc, only the recovery CD I did in the beginning. Can I recover and just reinstall Vista, or should I get back it?
    Thank you
    Bill

    original title: recovery

If your "Vista recovery disc" is provided by the manufacturer of your computer, be it Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, etc... Then chances are he's doing a thing. Completely format your hard drive and restores your computer to the day you brought it home. It's a major nuisance for many people these days, as if you have an error and Windows says 'Please insert the Vista CD to fix it Windows' well, you do not HAVE the CD to correct the error. Your only option is a complete erasure of all data.

So, my advice is to avoid ever NEED to use the recovery CD, and if you don't... hope you have backups of your important data (which is another thing, backup your important data often!).

  • What is supposed to be in \sources\inf\setup.cfg Windows 7 ISO?

    Hi all
I have a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 image - U 64-bit ISO downloaded from digitalriver and I removed the file ei.cfg with ei.cfg removal utility to make it universal.
ISO changed did not work properly to install Windows, it just kept asking for drivers.
After dipped in the extracted ISO files, I discovered something strange.
In sources\inf, there is a file called setup.cfg. I opened with Notepad, and it showed as being random characters like those you get when your internet browser is not the same characters as the site coding.
In my view, that a setup.cfg screwed up has something to do with my problem to ask for a cd/dvd driver before installing.
Can someone tell me what text should be in this file setup.cfg so that I can manually edit and save on my bootable usb key?
Another question: the product.ini in the sources (sources\product.ini) folder is empty.  I Googled it and people can find default key of product inside.  It must be something in mine?
