What is XSS mount?

This can be a source of my memory problem.

Zone Alarm:

Assembly attempts to access physical memory.

The current security setting for mount does not allow this action, or ZoneAlarm Security Suite asking you whether to allow this behavior. Your computer is safe.

What should I do?

If mount needs to access a memory physical in order to work properly and you trust this program, then choose allow. If you do not trust this program or the program does not need to access physical memory, and then to deny. If you are unsure, you can always deny access and run again if necessary.

Why?

editing can be malicious. It may attempt to influence other programs or the security of the system. Normally, programs don't need to access physical memory.

Anyone know what type of mounting brackets, I need to buy to put a SSD 2.5 "in a HP Slimeline s3507c? The SSD is 2.5 "and the drive Bay hard 3.5" pull-out.

If you visit this webpage, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01050020and scroll down to 'Install the hard disk', you can see the Bay from my computer's hard drive.

  • Laptop is not access grub after standby extended drive

    Hi all

I suspect a hardware problem, but I'm not 100% sure on this subject. The issue has already appeared a few days ago, but I managed to solve it by pressing F8 at the beginning upward. Now F8 does not work and I think that F8 was not at all involved, and it's only lucky shot.

It seems the startup just stops before, or so, access to grub2. I am able to stop and restart, but there is no startup options. The mini laptop is a toshiba satellite t110-107 and normally start options appear at the bottom, F2 to access bios and F12 as a shortcut for selecting the boot device (if I remember correctly). But sometimes, they do not appear at all, I think that's when I put hibernate instead of shut down the system, but to be honest, I never paid attention to this behavior. She normally worked. Note that I use hibernate-drive and extended ram usually sleep for years, and it has always worked properly.

Thank you very much in advance for any advice you want to give me. I will try to access the system with a shell external grub or with a different distribution of linux to re - install grub. I hope I don't have to thow away the laptop :-(

    See you soon

  • HARD drive original

I need to know if my laptop has the HARD inside original disc. Is this possible?

    Hi Scott,.

Each hard drive will have a unique serial number so that it can be identified in the case of a batch of disks with a manufacturing defect. This makes it easy for purposes of product recall.

However, unless you make a note of the serial number when you bought your laptop the only way you could possibly discover if your drive is the original is to check with Toshiba customer service who may be able to access records manufacturing showing what readers were mounted on what laptop models and dates.

  • SSH and SMB service starts not more

    Dear community,

After you have installed the Add-it-Analyzer Log my RN10200 started having some problems that I was not able to see the shares via Samba more. I tried to connect via SSH to see what is the problem, but also the SSH no longer works. Since the web-admin panel still works, I tried to enable SMB and SSH in the Panel, but it briefly passes green and gray then again. I also tried to uninstall the add-on, but now get a package manager error. I then tried to reinstall the operating system using the boot option, but that did not help either.

I removed the hard disks in the unit and their read-only to see what is poorly mounted. There, I found some permissions to be set wrong on the system partition:

could be the cause of the problem? Other ideas how to get SSH and SMB work return service or more diagnostic information?

I have a backup of everything so a complete reset would be an option. However, I would like to understand the problem and solve it rather by using telnet, as seems to be a simple problem? It would be enough to reset permissions? What else could be causing this behavior?

    Thanks for the tips

You will have to go folder by folder and read all the files, he complains and chown the permissions back to root instead of comments. Loïc but eventually you can get everything again.

  • L50-B-2FH satellite: how update of SSD?

    Hello

I want to upgrade my laptop by replacing the built-in SSD existing (THNSNJ256GMCU) by a more large (for example Samsung 850 Pro or Evo). What soccet is installed on the motherboard (mSATA or SATA)? What drives could mount mechanical size-perspective? It will be possible to add a Samsung 850 Pro series as these discs are available with SATA only (no mSATA).

    Thank you.

As I am not mistaken the laptop was equipped with a 256GB SSD MSATA module.
The laptop supports the SATA controller and connector... so the mSATA SSD drive is mounted to a COMMITTEE of EXCHANGE which allows to connect the mSATA SSD to common SATA controller.

  • [FlexRIO] Is it possible to define two modules e/s for my FlexRIO

    Hi all

I developed an application to perform a test on a digital ASIC business and have a number of PXI chassis each with an installed FlexRIO. I have two flavors of DIO FAM the NI6581 & the OID NI6583. I want to write the code LV FPGA so that the application can use either FAM that it is mounted on the FlexRIO. Is it possible to set both FAMS IO in the LV FPGA project and the code detect what FAM is mounted and from there select the e/s to use?

    Thank you

    Nick

    Nick,

While you could not define 2 FAMs under a single FPGA target in the project, you can do the following:

    1. create two targets FPGA, one for each Module IO

    2. write two screws FPGA separate, one for each Module IO

    3 compile the two bitfiles

    4. write a VI host that uses the host FlexRIO screw interface to check which adaptor module is attached.

    5. deploy the appropriate bitfile depending on which adapter module is attached.

Keep in mind, we do not recommend the adaptation modules FlexRIO hot spare so that you wish to power your system every time you had to adapt modules.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello

I'm looking for an upgrade of my graphics card so that I can play the latest games. I have a HP 8200 Elite Convertible Minitowers PC as the here:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLo...

    It has the following features:
    CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 3.1 Ghz
    RAM: 8 GB DDR3
HARD DRIVE: 1 TB 7200 RPM
Graphics card: integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000

The power supply is 320W and is displayed here:

I'm looking for the GPU can be found below:

    http://www.EVGA.com/products/specs/GPU.aspx?PN=70b14ba6...

The GPU specification indicates that at least 300W POWER supply is required, but I've heard rumors that a PSU of increased capacity may be required.

So, I kindly asked if what GPU should mount my PC taking into account all the above factors. In addition if you need the PC BIOS features, they are found here:

In case you are evaluating this GPU is not compatible with my Setup could you please recommend a different GPU which can be compatible.

  • Is it possible to set up creative cloud as a real player on my Mac?

I am trying to establish a workflow truly collaboration between a team of freelancers using Adobe Creative cloud like our shared storage. Unfortunately, Adobe apps don't recognize the clouds like a disc. For example, video clips stored in the cloud cannot be directly ingested via Adobe prelude because Creative cloud does not appear as a disk. If this was possible, several members of the team could work on video recording using the same exact prelude project file.  Any advice on the creation of a workflow using cloud storage would be very much appreciated.

    Brent

Good idea, but technically not possible because programs do not support this as a first step. It is much larger that what allows to mount a cloud drive via WebDAV or whatever and would require a major re-engineering and rethink how programs actually work up to mundane stuff of OS as the simultaneous file access. Maybe in 2030... * lol *.

  • Openfiler as NAS for ESXi shows the performance difference between software RAID6 and RAID10.

I had some performance issues with a new ESXi server with virtual machines hosted on a table of 6 software RAID (12 units of optical fiber). Here's what it looked like:

    12 multi-plate (RAID 6) -fiber channel- Openfiler.

    NFS - VMWare ESXi

Since I had a spare CF array I decided to fix to the Openfiler box and try to RAID 10 in software. Different performances has been staggering. I did a lot of steps, but I test the startup time of a computer virtual stored on each table of FreeBSD.

    RAID 6 59 seconds

    RAID 10 45 seconds

Now waiting for MBR of FreeBSD for 5 seconds and the boot loader expects 10, so there were at least 15 seconds of downtime in each case. The strange thing is that accessing directly the matrix RAID 6 via FTP provided good performance. I was able to saturate a 100Mbit link and the Openfiler Server showed almost no load. But with the VM on the RAID 6 array, the load on the Openfiler area would jump to 4 +. I hope it helps someone.

  • Import/conversion of FreeBSD 6.1 device in ESX

I'm trying to get this device in ESX (FYI: it works very well in the free version of the server):

    http://Wokka.org/netdisco/

Unfortunately, the VMDK was created as an IDE drive. I've contacted the author to see if he can repeat as SCSI, but no response yet.

Because of this vmkfstools-i does not work.

So I tried the converter, which seemed to work.

Also, I followed this link (which was easier because readers were already scsi):

    http://communities.VMware.com/message/670829#670829

And changed my device SCSI of BusLogic LSI Logic and also add these two lines in my .vmx file. This link also cautions that the converter does not work with FreeBSD.

I am familiar with BSD, but it starts up until the point where it says:

    acd0: CDROM at ata1-master UDMA33

Try to mount the root from ufs: / dev/ad0s1a

Then it prompts you to make a Manaul root file system specification:

If I do? for "List of devices to boot disc valid", it only shows

    acd0 fd0

(Even once, Server edition has no problem with/dev/ad0s1a, which I suppose is a standard of the IDE path and not a trace of SCSI, but even he's seen anything yet even for SCSI listed, so I think that even once that the Converter did not something correct which would allow the BSD detect this new SCSI drive).

Anyone has any ideas on what to try next or in BSD, or with my vmx file, converter or with vmkfstools, or if someone else can download this unit and see if they can make it work in ESX?

    Thank you!

    Yep - it works.

I just downloaded the netdisco-VM and redefined the vmdk-IDE to a vmdk free manually.

When the converter worked correctly you should have something similar now... anyway I guess

you already get that 'impossible to mount the root file system' and specified free controller?

Then restart - this time select ' start in single mode - user.

You must then specify what must be mounted as /-specify "ufs:da0s1a".

that will allow you to start on.

    Then run ' ee/etc/fstab '.

Change the lines referencing ad0 * to da0 * so that it looks like this

    Save the file and restart.

  • curious problem with extrusion and rotation

I found a curious problem with extrusion and turn into the CS6. It's not a bug, but it's a behavior that is less intuitive who is confused and sometimes painful. I think it is something that should go on the list of tasks for the devs. Someone else, right? Don't agree?

    Example:

    Rotate_issue.jpg

I started with a path arrow, to which I applied the effect "extrude". I then put an icon on top of the arrow and grouped in the icon and the arrow. Now, I use this icon arrow in several different parts of my design, in different orientations. I flip the arrow, the relative position of the icon and the arrow seems to pass. I believe that this is happening because when you rotate the arrow icon, Illustrator rotates both the icon and the arrow on the center of the underside of the arrow. This is because the upper side of the arrow is essentially fictitious, just an artifact of the effect of extrusion. So, even if the icon appears as if it is drawn on the upper side of the arrow, it behaves as if it is attached to the underside of the arrow. When you apply a transformation, this transformation impacts on the underside of the arrow, causing the top of offset from the icon.

The solution would be to add an extra box to the effect of extrusion, asking if you wanted to extrusion (the way things are currently done) upwards or downwards. If you can extrude downwards, then the upper side of the arrow would be the 'real' face, those affected by the changes. You can then put a picture on the top, the arrow and the image of the group, and when you apply a transformation, the icon would remain fixed relative to the top, which would be consistent with your intuitive expectations.

If anyone is curious to experiment with this particular example, I posted this file in Google Docs here:

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B0Hoxcl5zTEtTXo5QnNsMGwwOGc/edit?USP=sharing

It's about what you just mount the image with a transformative effect to match the extrusion.

So basically, you apply a 3-d rotation effect to your image to match the rotation of your arrow, then you apply a transformation movement in the vertical axis to match the height of your extrusion.

    hope this helps

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B4ilRoSBagc3d2w2Ylc2cWxFVjA/edit

If you want to get real on this issue retro we only corresponding to the rotation of the arrow in the center of the extrusion, if we wanted to distort the image perfectly, the rotation should be slightly higher, but anyway, it is hardly noticeable.

  • recommendation of Oracle asmlib or raw for 11g ASM

looking for best practice note on this subject for different OS such as linux, Solaris and windows? and how to configure?

    DBA2008 wrote:
looking for best practices note on this subject for different OS like linux, Solaris & windows? & How to configure?

You're confused raw (raw devices) with "raw + +" (block devices for raw character devices)...

    To explain...

All devices are 'rough' - even your 'C: drive ' traditional... until what it is mounted by a driver that provides access "cooked the file system.

Oracle ASM works directly with these raw devices - it must NOT be mounted by a file system driver (ASM can not use it because the camera is locked/used by this other driver). And the raw device does NOT contain a file system (ASM will open this device and destroy).

So what of the question that "raw is obsolete? It is a device driver very specific on Unix/Linux allowing a character (raw) device be used as a (raw) blocking the device. Why?

Because on older kernels do not use the direct i/o (RAW) only on (raw) and character devices, block devices. This crude device driver linked a block on a character device device, allowing direct use e/s. And direct i/o is what s/w like file systems of RDBMS and want ASM dealing with raw as oppose to the cooking devices.

So there is no such notion as ' raw devices versus AsmLib + + ". This is absurd.

AsmLib is a kernel driver that provides a layer of management for raw devices logical device. The same type of s/w delivered by default under Linux and is called Multipath.

EMC has their own patented kernel called Powerpath driver which covers essentially the same game featured.

So to use the raw devices is the standard and the standard with the ASM. The storage array or LUN from the server will be seen by the kernel of the server database as scsi devices. These devices must be put at the disposal of the DSO. There are issues such as multiple I/O paths to the SAN to address. Issues such as consistency in device name. Issues such as ownership of the device and permissions. Etc.

AsmLib can be used at this address. Is it recommended? Not really because on Linux Multipath is designed to do this work. And she does very well on the clusters of 1000 + node connected to without very seriously. He does what AsmLib and better - with the exception of being able to format a device of ASM with a label header ASM (made by ASM itself anyway to a new disk to a disk group).

So yes, there's Metalink/MoS notes that proclaim the '+' goodness + AsmLib. But this isn't a prerequisite. It is not recommended by Oracle to use as a replacement for Multipath (none of the best docs of practical Oracle I said that).

Don't forget that AsmLib is a layer of extra kernel drivers that must be loaded and configured. I don't see the use of myself and we don't use AsmLib on any of our RAC clusters. Multipath is used and it does the job and does it well.
