  I have the same speed with my ADSL.  I use a laptop game Omen HP with an Intel 7260 half wireless mini map.  My router is an ASUS RT-AC68R.  My router and DSL modem are on the second floor with two walls and a floor between them and my laptop.  I get speeds between 28 and 30 MB/s with 5.26 upward.

(Sorry, I don't know the model because it is at home and I'm at work!) Is there something I should do for the router to recognize the new modem? The router recognizes the wireless laptop, but it can not connect to the Internet.

  Don't string two routers. Fill the modem/router or don't use the BEF as a router, but only as a simple switch (or replace it with a standard ethernet switch).

  Sorry, we can't help on the settings for the modem/router, because it would be a question of Qwest as to if this is even possible and if so, if Qwest will support this type of installation.   I upgraded a Netgear WNDR4300 wireless router to the modem/router combination C7000. The old router never caused any problems with the connection of wireless devices, but this new C7000 is frankly a pain!

  I agree with Apple TV network and the password is accepted, but no matter what I do the router never sees the Apple TV as a connected wireless device!

  Yet once, it worked flawlessly on the old Netgear router.

  The other two devices wireless I have connected the two had WPS (a printer and a device), but the Apple TV does not support this so I get the password manually but it simply refuses to work!

  I was wasting hours on this today.

  I'm a software engineer so I understand this and frankly there is no earthly reason, I can see why he just refuses to work.

  Well, now I feel like a fool. I unplugged the old router and thought that I had turned it off, then I drop it on the floor and began setting up the new router. I wanted to keep the same network name so I changed it and set the password accordingly.

  It's when I couldn't connect the Apple TV. And after all that, I look down the OLD router and to somehow do NOT turn it off as I thought I did.

  If the network name being the same, my Apple TV connected to the OLD router instead of the new.

• PROBLEM CONNECTING TO A MODEM/ROUTER TO COMCAST

  My husband is trying to connect to my laptop to WORK FOR our COMCAST Modem/Router (IPV4) House.  There is a link between the laptop and the modem/router.  However, I can't get out to the internet WIRLESSLY and need to use a WIRED CONNECTION.  He did an audit of the IPCONFIG command AND maybe he thinks running IPV6 as we do at work.  It's what the IPCONFIG/all command shows:

  IPv4 address: 172.X.X.20 (preferred)

  Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

  DHCP SERVER: 172.x.x.1

  IAID DHCP: 2255216532

  DHCPv6 Client DVID: 15-digit number

  Is that mean that the computer is configured to run on IPV6 instead of IPV4?  My husand does not have IPV6 on our home network?

  He doesn't have SYSADMIN access, is there a way to fix this without sysadmin access?
