(Either a microsoft MVP to be approved as response staff)

(Not to be confused with Windows Update 8.1)

Hello

Here is the reason:

7. What is the policy of the policy of Support for Windows 8.1?

Windows 8.1 is part of the same strategy of life cycle of Windows 8 and reaches the end of the main Support on 9 January 2018 and phase end of Support extended on 10 January 2023. With the general availability of Windows 8.1, clients on Windows 8 have 2 years, until January 12, 2016, to move to Windows 8.1 in order to remain supported.

See you soon.

There is an available for installation of SP3 Cd

Manually installing SP3 using the Microsoft Download Center or a CD

If you have problems to receive the service pack from Windows Update, you can download SP3 as a standalone package from the Microsoft Download Center Web site, and then install SP3 manually. The installation package is intended for it professionals and developers, but you can always download and install this file.

You can also order a CD from Microsoft containing SP3. For more information, go to the Microsoft site.

To manually install SP3 using the standalone package installation or CD

    1. Do one of the following:

      • If you downloaded SP3 from the Web site, to install it immediately, click Open or run and follow the instructions on the screen. To install the program later, click on save and download the file to install it on your computer. When you are ready to install the service pack, double-click the file.

      • If you install SP3 from the Service Pack 3 CD, insert the disc into your computer with your current version of Windows XP running, and Software Update Installation Wizard should appear automatically. If this wizard does not appear, click Start, double-click my computer, click on your CD or DVD drive and then click AutoPlay.

    2. In Windows XP Service Pack 3 page, click Next.

    3. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

    4. Once the installation is complete, click Finish to restart your computer.

    5. If you disabled your antivirus software, turn it back on.

  • Since the update Windows 10, my CS5 Photoshop created jpg are no longer visible in Windows Explorer (File Manager)

Since the update Windows 10, my CS5 Photoshop created jpg are no longer visible in Windows Explorer (File Manager).  I have reset Photoshop like application default for jpg files, rebooted.  Nothing has changed.  The ideas people?

    Hi R_Kelly,

Hidden folder/file settings was the first place, I checked and kept checking each new reboot.

I have copied below my temporary solution I posted in another forum thread.

See point 7.  I found a way to make it visible again.

    1. I can see all jpg files created before Win10 update AND all the jpgs created by other programs, other than Photoshops after Win 10 update.

2 Photoshop cannot see the newly created Photoshop created jpg files in the file picker at all since Upgrade to Win 10.  I've never had a problem of invisibility of file before winning 10 update.  My hidden files were always checked to be visible.  However, Photoshop can open if listed files in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

    3. the files are not visible or clickable at all in Windows Explorer tree or the Photoshop file selector. They become open and visible when listed in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

4 Microsoft Office applications can't see the new Photoshop created Jpg files in file, only pre Win 10 update pickers jpg created by other applications and versions.

    5. the problem occurs only with Photoshop jpg created after the Win 10 update.

    6. I checked the settings "Show hidden files, folders and files of the operating system", and they remain as they were, which allows all the hidden to visible objects.  I kept the visibility settings files in this way since the early 1990s.

    Temporary fix below *.

    7. I did yet another simple search of the text Windows Explorer, he finds invisible jpg files less all links 'recently used' who were there yesterday (2nd day after I created the files), I checked the location of file properties file and it entered the original file I saved their.  Using a right-click of the mouse on the file to bring up the menu actions and file properties, I was able to copy and then paste the file into another directory.  I jumped on the directories to see if it remains visible and he (Yes). The new copy is now visible to the pickers of file in Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications.

  • What is the updating of the database?

    Hi all...

Can someone tell me what exactly the average refresh databases in oracle?

    Thanks in advance...

jgarry, you are quite right about that.

An update of the database for a developer could mean just refresh the schema to use in the development database, but NOT patterns of the user.

An update of the database to a tester could mean to update all application schemas, but certainly NOT the patterns of the user.

An update of the database to a manager might mean updating the entire database of production, including patterns of the user.

Most of the cases, an update of the database will probably only see the application schemas they use and not the user patterns.

In these cases, the use of import and export is the most common method to make the update, although transportable tablespaces multiply for this purpose, but also of the flashback database for testing purposes (or even Real Application Testing - which uses flashbacks).

In some cases, a test database will need to be completely refreshed with RMAN.

    I hope this helps.

I want to assign full control to "everyone", "users" or "authenticated users" (don't care really, as they are for most screenshots that I downloaded for twinkle to post on public boards like that).

I could have sworn there was something like that, but it could have been only for server 2008R2. I don't remember when I first heard of him. The files are on a rugged laptop running Windows XP Professional SP3.

  • Windows Update offering me a nvidia nforce network controller update, I want to know what has the update, how?

I try to click on the more information of winqual.microsoft.com/support/? 20211126.it driver id always comes up with 404 page not found. I just want to know what the driver is offering or fixing. I have tried everywhere, someone has ideas how to get this info?

The only way I know is to get this information from the manufacturing of the hardware device.  In this case go to the Web from Nvidia site and then go to the downloads section. You can then select the Nforce drivers such as pilot. After that, you will need to know which chipset your motherboard uses. Once you get all the information it will take you to the download page for the drivers. Normally they have the available release notes to see what changes have been made by the pilots. If you decide to update, I would use the Nvidia site instead of the one offered from windows update. After installing the nvidia windows update stops offering you the update.

  • What makes the Intel Graphic Driver Update?

I just got an update which reads: graphics Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1.

WDDM1.2, WDDM1.3 graphics - Intel(r) HD Graphics Family. I had no problem with installation of this update, I just want to know what I've done. I mainly use my windows laptop 8.1 for games and video editing software, so the update would improve game performance (and if so, how)? Thank you in advance for your response if one is on the left.

It corrects code that can cause the pilot to crash. It should not lead to changes in performance.

    Try the methods below:

    Method 1:

It is possible that certain windows update components are damaged.

See the below Microsoft article available tool and run the hotfix:

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
