What should I do if my windows does not start, and the Startup Repair is not help at all

So today, I went and when I turned on my computer from sleep mode, it was perfectly fine.  I was watching a video, surf on internet and MSN messenger when my computer froze all of a sudden.  I waited for release, but it didn't.  Given that I could not turn off the computer either, I had no choice but to disconnect it from the computer.  However, later, when I tried to restart, the screen would go black after the black loading screen.  Subsequently, it would just restart and startup repair would begin.  I tried to restore Systen and ran several times startup repair.  In addition, it does not even boot mode safe.  Here are the details of the problem for the Startup Repair:

Hello

·         How have you tried to do system restore?

I recommend you to restore system using a Windows Vista DVD.

Here's how:

To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows Vista installation disc

If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows Vista installation disc or a system repair disc previously.

To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
1 insert the disc.
2. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.

4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
5. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
6. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.

  • What should I do if my computer does not recognize that there is a device connected media player?

I have a toshiba laptop and everytime I try to plug in my iPod to download music, Media Player does not recognize that the device is there, to that effect, I can't sync the music on my iPod.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Is it recognized in Windows Explorer?

If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter to check if it detects anything:

  • What should I do when after Lightrom 6 worked OK and I was rocking it draws to develop, all of a sudden I have started getting the message "folder or file not found?

I downloaded photos successfully in Lightroom 6 and were able to develop and even export but suddenly in the process of development or export, Lightroom gives the message "File not found" and "file cannot be found. These pictures are already in Lightroom, how can't he not know where they are? And is it a problem with Lightroom, my computer, or what I did? And what should I do to correct this?

Photos are never stored in Lightroom. They are stored on your hard drive somewhere, instead you put them, or to the place where you education Lightroom to put them.

Lightroom is a database. When you import a pohtos, a record is created in the database for each photo, which contains the file name and the location of each photo. When the photo is no longer in the location Lightroom is looking (because somehow the file or folder has been moved, renamed or deleted outside of Lightroom), Lightroom indicates that it does not find the photo (or the photo is missing).

Therefore, find the photo using your operating system. Once you have found the photo, you must tell Lightroom where the photo is, and what's his name. The exact tools used in this step are described here indetail: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • Replacing the hard drive T60 - Windows does not recognize the hard drive

Hello all, new to the community of Lenovo. I have a T60, but also the latest Lenovo Edge. HD crashed on the T60 and it will boot is no longer. I just bought a 500 GB WD without doing a lot of research. When trying to install Windows 7 (I had already updated the T60) it will not recognize the new drive - Windows does not drive at all. Is there a way to get the Lenovo to recognize the WD drive? Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like you're doing something wrong, if the drive is a SATA it should work, install it and boot from your windows installation DVD and it will be the installation drive and shaped for you, or you can optionally set the partitions manually when you are prompted to do so. If you try to do something unusual such as transfer windows on the old drive then you will need to explain exactly what you did because I see no reason it should not work. Infact I did it several times myself.

    Hello

The messages are really a database and compaction it just removes the white space
assigned to messages that have been previously deleted. The process does not remove all
other messages. Compaction of the database allows safer and less likely
    to suffer from corruption.

  • a windows 8 NEW ACER AND the computer will be returned. What should I do to get windows 8 transferred to a new pc? thxs for any help

BOUGHT AND INSTALLED windows 8 NEW ACER a few weeks ago and now have decided to return the ACER.  What should I do to get windows 8 transferred to a new pc?     can I "return" windows 8?

    thxs for any help

You must first remove Windows 8 on the computer by restoring it to its factory State. This will allow you to transfer the license to another computer and reactivate over the telephone:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

    ------------------

Continue to install 8 Windows on the new computer and reactivate by phone if necessary:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Hello I was wonderin if anyone can help me, when Windows XP tries to load, I get the following message: "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. "My options are:

    Start in safe mode.
    Safe mode with network.
    Safe mode with command prompt.
Last known good configuration setting (most recent setting that worked).
    Start Windows normally.

I can't use my laptop. I have no idea of what happened, I was working just on microsoft excel and the laptop just fall himself. Sometimes, when I try to restart new Windows support up to a certain point but then hit herself turning back again. I have a norton Update 07 and spyware detector.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

If all goes well it s only a software problem.
The windows offer these startup options if it was closed in not correctly way.
Usually, starting in safe mode should load windows. Then you could try to start the chkdsk/p or chkdsk/r

These commands would start the clean Windows HARD disk and files change the program.

If this does not help then the new form to install the OS recovery CD would be desirable

  • Windows does not start after the use of CD "" Toshiba Recovery and Applications/drivers ".

Well my Toshiba Satellite A205-S5814 laptop was very slow and I was getting very frustrated with it, so I decided pop in the CD "Toshiba Applications/Drvers" perhaps to restore my laptop to factory settings and run perfect once again.

As I was doing this operation and tried fixing it, the thing finished and off the laptop. And when I turned it back on, Windows will now start and give me the Windows Boot Manager screen. My laptop had Vista on it and I even tried to install Windows XP Home Edition on it with a disk I had. But whenever he's going to do, he says he can find t any hard drive? But for sure, there is a hard drive!

I do not understand what has happened and why this Toshiba drive ruined my laptop. Before I used this drive my laptop has always works and works OK, it has been slow but still booted Vista and stuff ran. Can someone please help me or tell me what to do, I think that Toshiba has messed up my laptop with disc here, and I don't think that we should have to pay so he can get fixed.
    Please help me.

    Hello!

I don t think that the Toshiba Recovery disk ruined your laptop.

If I am right on the recovery disk is Vista and it was installed before. I think the installation going something wrong.
When you get the Windows Boot Manager you can fix your computer? You can reinstall Vista without the recovery disk when you choose this option, then Toshiba product recovery.

When you install Windows XP, you need a SATA driver. If you don t use one, you will get this error which can t find hard drives.
You can download it on the Toshiba site and after booting from the XP CD, you must press F6 to load drivers from a floppy external drive or use you nLite to create a disc with drivers.

    Good bye

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).

    Original title: BOOT ERROR

It's been 6 days since my computer is having this problem.i spin asrock pc.the problem is when I restart my computer it doesn't not load some time the screen appears black and sometimes windows logo appears faintly.and when I restart once more, he sows me windows error message it says windows does not start correctly and give me options to start , they start windows normally, sfafe mode, last known good... etc.when I chose an option and start same happens.but when I turned off my pc and wait a minute and start windows boot normally without a problem.is this because of my startup file or something else?

    No, you can't.

If you have a true bootable XP with SP1 or SP2 installation CD, you can create a new installation CD with SP3 integrated using a process called "slipstreaming".

It is a pleasure to the project for a day and there are several methods, you can read on the Internet, such as BleepingComputer:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial154.html

If you want to use the Recovery Console and is not a real XP bootable installation CD or are not sure what you have, simply create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console yourself (without XP media required)

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

Toshiba Satellite A85 Celeron with XP Home edition. Windows does not start. I have Toshiba logo screen, then it turns into a black screen with the upper left corner of the cursor. I have the recovery disk. Is it possible to record HD without re-formatting and losing all data?

    Thank you;

    Lobo77

If you run the Toshiba recovery application, you will lose all your data.  As indicated in the warning, this application will restore the computer back to wherever it was when it was first delivered by the factory.

Without other complementary diagnostic information, it is difficult to determine what is happening.  Pressing the key (do not hold) of F8 beginning immediately after that the sequence of power should bring you to the Advanced Boot Options menu.  Try again then press repeatedly the key rather than pressing on and now.

The recovery CD Toshiba, you have probably does not allow a "repair installation".  Contact Toshiba to see if they will provide you with a suitable CD.

Given the fact that you can get a useful place when you start with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, my guess is that the computer is OK but that the hard drive has failed - or maybe more likely - the startup information is damaged so that it does not start.  If you have access to a computer equipped with a burner, download and create a bootable Windows CD.

There are a number of available bootable CD which include various recovery and diagnostic tools.  You'll have to do some research to find out how to use the tools.

    Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows
    Ultimate Boot CD
    Hiren BootCD

If you feel overwhelmed by the tools and I just want back the data, and then use the Toshiba Recovery DVD, make you a Knoppix CD and use this key to your data, preferably on a network connection.

If all this sounds like too much for you - and there is no shame in admitting that--take the laptop for a good local computer repair shop (not a type BigBoxStoreUSA or rather GeekSquad) and ask them to check it out and make sure to recover your data before anything else.
