What to do about CHKDSK message "volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems".
My XP Home just quit starting all along. Previoously before leaving he would do a CHKDSK scan and then go over to start. Now, it closes a few seconds after the Windows screen comes up with the dots that runs through. The Windows image stays on the screen, but nothing else happens. I put in my XP disk to run the repair and got at the C:\Windows prompt after all the various commands of the finish. Then I typed CHKDSK and Enter. The first time that CHKDSK has stopped 38% full. The 2nd time it finished and gave me the error message: "volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems".
I sure would appreciate it if someone can suggest my next move to get XP running back?

Hello! My computer hung on me for quite some time, so a few days ago I had no choice but to make a closed group. Now, I can't even as much as screen (with the blue bar and the Windows logo). I tried the following:
(a) via the Windows Recovery Console chkdsk. I tried / p, / r, / f, all give me a "volume contains one or more unrecoverable problems." or something like that. If I try to install a new Windows, as soon as it "looking for previous versions", I get a BAD_POOL_HEADER blue screen with stop error message 0x000000C2.
(b) I tried to hit every single F shortcut key, but none would let me go in the recovery console (which is F10 for me) and safe mode (which is F8 for me). Only the F1 works, who has access to my bios Setup, I think.
If I jump just the recovery console, I just get a white loading bar, who finally stops loading, and then I get a message telling me that one of my files (windows\config\system I think) is missing or damaged. I tried after a few steps through one of the Windows solutions to counteract this, but I can't even copy/delete files via the command prompt that it denies access.

(2) what is the serial number and the model of the hard disk on which you try to install the Windows 7 operating system?
Note: Dynamic disk function is not supported for editions of Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Starter and Windows 7 Home Basic.

I can't open a project PP without this error message that appears:
"The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not find. These sequences will be changed to use a custom sequence implementation. To continue editing using the preset original, exit the application without saving the project, reinstall all third-party components that are needed, and reopen the project'.»
What I had been doing before that to happen was a PP project using sequences ProRes for editing and editing multicamera. Several cameras didn't work very well and after a few attempts of difficulty that I gave up and finished the work of cutting 3 layers of video instead. SOUL refused to make the finished three lasting more than 1 hr sequences so rendered video sequences PP. finals
I tried to remove the plists for SOUL, PP and QT repair disk permissions and restarted, but there was no improvement.
Customer is satisfied for now, but will want to return on this work to a later date so decided to uninstall and reinstall SOUL and PP in the hope that the two would be willing to work properly when needed again. SOUL works very well in conjunction with another PP project, but now I can't open the PP project in question without the above error message appears.
After searching on the net, it seems that the problem may be caused by ProRes but I could not find a definitive solution to the problem. Does anyone know either:
1. How do I solve this problem?
2. If I chose the "modified by using a custom sequence parameter", can I be sure that my footage will look the same, even if they do not use ProRes? The final format of the deliverable will be mp4 so as long as the overall appearance does not change so I can afford a change in the edit codec. It's just that with three sequences of more than an hour long, I don't want working days to be ruined.
Other older PP projects of mine open and work properly.

Set up a new project PP.
Import Final Cut Pro XML file.
This will take you to the top race.
Since getting back to this publishing project, I found that some things will be lost or change using XML:
You will lose the position key framing, black video clips, dissolve fx, audio levels, dynamic audio fx, the possibility to open a multi camera clip and change the display of the camera.
You keep the cut points, crop fx.
Not perfect but only took a few hours to save 3 working days.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit version of Windows media player 12, Firefox version 28.I changes the format in Windows media player
WMA (Windows Media auto) for Mp3.When, I insert the cd (tried various) tracks appear in the library, and when I select RIP
It goes through the process of the extraction of each track. When I try to drag in sync payne, I get a red circle with a red line in the Center

If I read this correctly, you have a portable computer that do not have an operating system on it. You try to install Vista and get the error.
You've restarted the Vista installation? So then you get the same error? If you have tried to install more than once and continue to receive this error, check that the laptop is capable of Vista? I don't know what to do about Java - my Mac is horribly slow, and I was advised to remove Java, it installs adware. The more I studied, the more information, I've seen say that most of the Web sites and software do not use Java on Mac more. So I deleted everything related with Java. But now it will not open Photoshop without Java. It will be safe if I get it directly from the Oracle site?
You can download the installer for OS X directly from Oracle. Be sure to uncheck everything installs 'optional' which can appear at the beginning (I think on Windows it wants to install McAfee trial or the toolbar Bing - not really malware, more as desired and useless crud-ware). I have a course Java JRE install on my MacBook Pro retina like some internal tools we have developed to work are currently java and I use a tool of u. Toronto called CytoScape is Java. Sites Web will use Java Script, a very different beast and does not require a full Java or JRE install. But with Java/JRE installed, just be sure of the source of any software that you download and install that is java based (as you should with all the software that you put on your machine).
In addition, for PhotoShop, it says that you need the legacy Java 6 for OS X? If so, then don't waste your time on the current version, just install that release 6 legacy.

I use iMessage to the text of my Macbook. For some reason, it will not let me send a text message to a particular group (everyone has iMessage/iPhones) to my computer, but works well on my iPhone. All messages always appear on my Macbook iMessage, but when I click in the conversation, no text box for me to write as he does with everyone. It's driving me crazy. How should I do? The two contacts are in my address book and identified on my computer but I can't their message from my computer and have to keep spending on my phone to text their return. After several hours, I was able to recover most of my calendars and contacts. However, now I can't get something new into my calendar because I get the error message I'm exceeding I cloud boundaries. I had problems with my WD usb hard drive, where a "delayed write failed" message keeps appearing when the transfer of files to or from it. Among the fixes suggested on the WD support site is a link to kb908673, and this seems to sum up my problem. This fix is included in sp3, I believe, however, the fix indicates that a manual registry editing needs to be done;
"After you install this hotfix, the following registry subkey is automatically added and configured:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USB\EnSoftRetryThe registry key is configured with a DWORD value of 1. This value allows the Soft-Retry code path that is used in this hotfix.
"If you install a later version of the patch (a patch that contains later versions of Usbport.sys and Usbehci.sys), including Windows XP SP3, this registry value not be automatically added and configured. I don't have this registry subkey and have no idea how to do to configure a key to have a DWORD value - I can create as a registry entry DWORD value in this key, but it must be given a name. Should I create a DWORD value called "EnSoftRetry" in the USB, or should I create a DWORD value in the EnSoftRetry key and, if so, what should it be called?
