What to do, to go back to windows.

I bought a Toshiba laptop and I have Windows Vista but I don't know which model I uninstalled it and I installed ubuntu but now want it back, I saw attached under the laptop has written a page where it is:
On the left

A bar code

The label for not being sold separately
and www.microsoft.com/piracy/howtotell

Are there opportunities to recover my windows?
Using the product key I can see which version of Windows Vista is?
Thank you in advance and have a nice day.
Please sorry for my bad English.

Go to the Toshiba website and order a set of recovery disc for your machine - then use it to restore your system to a State ex factory.

    Hello

first go to your c drive and find the folder called windows, old.

In this folder, you can find all your documents, photo ect. who are on your windows operating system 7.

I suggest to first make a backup of the files you want to keep on an external drive or a drive of Pentecost copy paste, to be sure of not lost.

to return to your old windows 7:

go to settings - updated and security - recovery - get back into windows 7

  • Pavilion dv6-4024tx: display random crashing after upgrade to Windows 10 (back to Windows 7)

    Hey all,.

I used to own a computer laptop dv6-4024tx Pavilion which I gave to my father to use after you have bought a new laptop for my part. It was in pretty good condition when I gave it to him, with the only problem being that she would get very hot unless a cooling pad was used (which I it comes with). At the time, it was running Windows 7 Home Premium with no problems and everything was fine. However, it might be interesting to note that while I had it I had problems with random blue screens while I was with the latest graphics drivers, so I drove back to the drivers supplied on the support page for this laptop. After I "upgraded" to Windows 10 (do not perform a clean install) for my dad, the laptop would randomly crash and display something like the photo that I have attached, before going empty and show again several times. Believing that it would be a problem with the GPU, I went and Display Driver Uninstaller to remove completely all AMD drivers and software, downloaded the latest driver on the AMD website and installed. It seemed to temporarily solve the problem, but as it's always within 30 days of installation, I offered to go back to Windows 7, but my father wanted to leave it and see how it happened. Oddly enough, for the next month, it never reported the laptop crashing again and the time period for return finally expired. The problem of course back then I tried the same solution from before but the noise continued. I tried to disable the GPU completely from the Device Manager, so that the laptop was running with Microsoft Basic display adapter. He seems to have stopped the fracas, but less than a week my father told me that he had crashed again.  I tried to restore the laptop to a system image I had done years ago, but I learned that you cannot restore an image to a different version of Windows System. Finally, as a last resort I backed everything up and made a real clean install of Windows 10, and the problem has not yet disappear.

My goal now is to return the Windows 7 laptop somehow. I can mount a virtual image of the system hard drive and access all the recovery files provided by HP, specifically the Recovery Manager. From there, I can do a recovery USB or DVD (s) we hope to restore the laptop to all conditions of factory (so theoretically return to Windows 7). I will try this, but I need a flash player more than 20 GB or several blank DVDs I don't currently. In addition, Recovery Manager says that this medium can never be created once, so it save me time and money (not to mention my last lifeline) if someone could please share their views on the question of whether this method would be successful or not. I know in case it doesn't work, there is always the question of registration of the OS by Microsoft, but I can cross that bridge when I get to it.

Sorry for the essay I just wrote, but this has been a problem for too long, and I am at a loss to know what to do now (apart from the purchase of another computer). If there are any questions I'll be happy to answer, and I hope we can get this issue is resolved. See you soon.

If you follow this step 3.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/675-system-image-recovery.html

You will need to select "format and repartition disks" as windows 10 will have changed partitions.

    Hello giant,

It is not possible to use 16-bit on a 64-bit computer applications/games.

However, you can download and install Wondows XP Mode for windows 7. Later, you can install your 16-bit application in XP mode.

You can download the application from the link given:

Microsoft and hp did an automatic installation of windows 10 and that my old system was windows 8 Andi want to return because the internet explorer 11 is now 64-bit and Windows 8, it is 32-bit, this i where the problem is, a lot of sites do not support windows 10 due to the Explorer currently 64-bit, ibecause now I can't pay your bills online that's why I want to go back to windows 8 , but I can't because then installing windows 10 he has deleted all the files of windows 8 operating system and many other people are having the same problem, microsoft made a remote server to try to find the problem but after 4 hours, they told a lot of people have had the same problem and there was nothing they could do hp says the same thing, now, I thought that I or we had 30 to change my or our spirits come back back so why cant I go back, windows 8 has been preinstalled on my laptop to hp should have the windows software code 8 then why slope they send me this code so that I can have windows 8 , microsft also said that me [i] properly installed windows 10, once again why cant I return to windows 8 and b4 a replys I and the foregoing did all the tests on my laptop and the only thing that remains is for hp to reinstall windows 8 on my laptop, because I have to use my very old another laptop running xp to pay bills online , then what is the point of upgrading to windows 10 and having to use windows xp on old laptop and what was the point of buying me a new laptop last year

I pressed the button for windows accecpt 10, but read all about it very carefully before installing and it asked to save all of my files that I made, microsoft and hp recommemed I installed windows 10 but you have 30 days to change your mind, windows 8 has been preinstalled and he warned an installation of usb media and says all the websites are supported so u take all this in any good faith, I'm not a super user just a plain person who wants to use his computer and when I want to and do not have all these hassle to write things up and find a hell of a lot of other people with eactly, same problem, microsoft installed a 4 hour remote to find if it was my fault or the fault of the laptop and found nothing and told me it was a problem with 10 windows and they said as a lot of others having the same problem where they cannot restore when they want too, if microsoft had said that there are a lot of sites supporting windows 10 then don't you think [IE me] would wait b4 I installed windows 10 also microsoft has in an email said to try to get these sites to upgrade why the fak must do this, like I said, I don't want all this crap I want to just turn on the laptop and use bloody like most people and not microsoft and hp did not force me but they recemended by e-mail and through my warranty upgrade so that was what I did the second , the only one the way back he semms is hp have my original numbers of windows software 8 not as I regis this sytem with hp, then u would have thought to email me windows 25 digits 8 none for me to install software, microsoft must make it clear that this windows 10 is not supported on the sites of somes and hounor cancellation of 30 days , and what is the bet that they contact me after 30 days and say oh u can't go back, but if you have done this or spoke to them u might have rollback, and this second would make it even more of a pain fffffff.

  • Problems by going back to Windows 7 of 10

I was on Windows 7 Home premium and upgraded to Windows 10. He removed from Google Chrome and some of my passwords, has been so slow, that it was practically dead, that I kept getting Oops messages because he could not access the websites and finally kept 'crashing' when I tried to type a message on EBay. About 4 days, I decided to go back to Windows 7. He deleted Windows 10 and closed, then began to say something like "Microsoft is loading files", after a while, I got a message saying that he was unable to restart the computer (laptop) and offered several checks I could do, which none worked. As soon as I changed the laptop on I kept getting the message downloading files and always ending with the computer restarts. I could not turn it on and go to the control panel or access anything. In frustration I took it to a 'computer shop '. I have it be perceived today and told me that I have been upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. I got home to find that everything has been erased, pictures. documents, downloads, files, and most of the project of a book I was writing. I reinstalled Google Chrome and have found a lot of my previous sites/research etc., but the most important things are missing. (I intend to take the laptop to the store tomorrow but one) I need to know my info can be retrieved and b) what went wrong

I'm not a fanatic of computing if you need answers in the plain, English simple please

    Thank you in anticipation

Looks like a computer store shady to me.  (Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, really?)

If you have no backups, your stuff may be gone.  Life lesson (and the mantra of the computer for several decades): backup backup backup.  It concerns some initial cost and effort, but in the end, there not many other things in life that provide comfort and the ability of a backup.

Oddly, it seems that SOME of your items is where?  Have you looked into the C:\ drive for a folder called "Windows.OLD"?  Is this one?

  • Want to go back to windows 7

Ago 1 day, I install windows 10, but now I can't find "back to Windows 7. What can I do?

    Hello

If you don't like Windows 10, there is provision integrated into Windows 10 for you to restore to the previous operating system, within 30 days.

"You have a month to upgrade to 8.1 Windows or 7, depending on what you upgraded, so Windows 10 isn't good for you"

    http://www.TechRadar.com/au/news/software/operating-systems/you-have-a-month-to-downgrade-to-Windows-8-1-if-Windows-10-isn-t-right-for-you-1299430

If you are unable to see if in the first 30 days of upgrade option will be removed and, you will have either to reinstall the original operating system from the media original or an Image of the system as you did the original operating system before you perform the upgrade to Windows 10.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Or you may need to follow these methods to reinstall Windows 7.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

If you have a preinstalled OEM license (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • How to get back to Windows 7 if windows 10 is not suitable

I read in your information if 10 Windows does not work to your satisfaction, then reinstall Windows 7. Should not be able to reinstall Windows 7 then please contact your supplier. I contacted Samsung, my ISP on the reinstallation of Windows 7 laptop and they referred me back to Microsoft for a response. Now, I spent to long in a vain and full circle.

I am almost computer illiterate and do not understand much of the information found in your response & questions. I think that I am not alone in this regard.

Everything I need to know is what happens if Windows 10 is not to my taste, and I want to go back to Windows 7, I have no problems with at all.

My wife has Windows 8 on his cell phone and I hate it, it seems have been developed for touchscreen computers which none of us.

Windows 10 has the same style as Windows 8, if yes, then I won't.

How long until Windows 7 is deleted, as has already happened with XP that even once, I had no problem with.

My feelings are that Microsoft is very large company seem to dictate to us what they want to do to increase their profits on the pretext that their last o/s is better than all previous versions, when in most cases, the previous version works OK.

    John,

Windows 10 will include a feature to "roll back" the previous operating system (Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 on your other computer).  I suggest that you wait until after July 29 to search forum to get advice on what by then there will be messages from users who have tried.

However, you would be taking a great risk of upgrading without taking precautions first, so that you have other ways to restore your computer to their current state.  You need to do all these tasks on your Windows 7 computer and also on your computer Windows 8

    1. Do a 'System recovery disk' Windows 7 / Windows 8 "Disk recovery" unless you have the installation disk
    2. Test the computer can boot from its Windows 7 'System recovery disk' / Windows 8 "Recovery disk" or the Setup disk [they can be tested without doing anything risky - so if you can't find a safe procedure for this elsewhere in the forum then tell & I'll give you appropriate links]
    3. If your manufacturer of PC included a "factory restore" partition, then you need to know how you can transfer on a USB key as the upgrade of Windows 10 will probably * if not destroy it.  Working conditions differ between the PC manufacturers, so you must check in your computer or manuals on PC manufacturers support websites or in their user forums. [* installation of version Preview of Win10 the fact]
    4. Make a picture of 'system' of the main drive on your computer - the drive on which Windows is installed on
    5. Make a backup of files full of your own files, all downloaded files for installing software, all the product keys needed to activate your applications, all the notes of the IDs / passwords etc.

It's guide in Windows Help for each of these tasks, and there are also useful discussions in these forums on them.  As you can guess, the preparations will take you longer than installing Windows 10.  All these preparations are things you could do routinely anyway [even without waiting to make any update]; I hope so

I suggest that you look through descriptions of what makes Windows 10.  I did experiment with it for several months and there is nothing to get excited about.  If there is something you can't currently do or Windows 10 better then consider the upgrade.  If this isn't the case, you can stick with what you have.  Windows 7 will continue to be supported with security updates, as it is now and it will continue until January 14, 2020.  Windows 8 will continue to be supported with up-to-date functional & security until January 9, 2018 and then will be supported with security updates until 10 January 2023-related.

Just for example & nothing more, I decided to upgrade to Windows 10.  I have two computers and there are things that I can't do on the older one because it has Windows XP - because my needs/desires have increased subsequently to adjust to what I can do with Windows 7 [and because it is now too risky to connect WinXP to the internet].  In addition to wanting to be able to do more things with the old computer, my experiences of Win10 thereon [by using the Preview version] convinced me that there are a lot of things that I would find less confusion if I had the same OS on both computers.  That's why I'm going to pay for a new operating system on the Windows XP computer, and why I improve my Win7 computer age to Win10 as well.

If you find no compelling reason to consider whether there could be a compelling reason in the future.  If you are ever going to upgrade two computers so do it by July 29, 2016, so it costs you nothing.  If there is no compelling reason upgrade then don't.

    All the best,

I have upgraded to win 10 windows 7 and everything was slow, as well as the shortcut to folder lock and always freezing.  Microsoft support told me there was nothing wrong with my computer and go back to win 7.  They said that sometimes the download from the server does not download properly and I need to go back to windows 7 and redownload windiws 10. I did and thought that any return came back successfully, but now I'm able to connect to the internet and open my browsers web noy. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    If this does not work:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: devmgmt.msc

    Press enter

Check under network to see if your Wi-wired connections and work.

You can try to uninstall then reboot let it redetect. Right-click the adapter and then click on uninstall, click OK

  • problem with validation after downgrading to windows 10 back to windows 7.

My windows 7 has been posted before I did the update. What should I do now? Before, I decided to go back to windows 7, I was in the process (at the suggestion of Microsoft) update my windows 10 driver.  I stopped when I saw that they were demanding money.  It was one of these "30 days offers free trial."  After that I spent in windows 7 I checked my download folder and found 2 configuration files for windows 10 drivers.  I deleted those. Shortly after that I have got a saying my Windows 7 must be validated.  I did and it showed the my windows 7 is not legitimate... did that three times and he still come as my windows 7 could not be validated.  Now I can't make any updates.

  • After coming back to Windows 7 after only 10 proved to be unsatisfactory now, Microsoft is trying to drive me to 10

Earlier this week I finally gave in the constant nagging and installed Windows 10 to replace my copy of Windows 7.  After a few days, I managed to get out me of my computer by setting up a password that I thought was for access to MSM for Windows' new, supposedly better, helps, but has actually been applied to my account although lock, there was no indication of what I saw at the time.  I didn't understand what happened so that the next time I tried to boot my system...

After contacting the Microsoft support line using my daughter-in-law who is a professional, a procedure long and involved, we could change my password so I could get back in my system where I followed immediately the indications to restore 7 and I have no intention to return to 10 anytime soon. However, there are a few problems now with 7 I think to have been deliberately caused to force me to go back.

Bottom left of my screen, it says:

    Windows 7
    Build 7601
This copy of Windows is not genuine

from time to time, there are pop ups that offers you to validate my OS, say "Windows is not genuine" or "You may have been victim of software piracy" but it seems that the only way to correct the problem that is again to install 10.  Also, I can't seem to keep my wallpaper because that whenever they appear in the background to the dark past.
