What type of search engine is it?
I looked around a new driver and saw this search engine and thought it would be a great addition to a site I'm working on, just don't know what kind it is or how to do it. http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
A point in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thank you
No, a menu of rerouting is used for navigation. You must use JavaScript to do this, really. Choosing an option in the first selection box should trigger a JavaScript function which (a) make an AJAX call to the server, or (b) to read existing JavaScript variables. It would take this data and use it to fill the second box selection, which may then trigger another JavaScript function call.
If you click on "View source" on the page, you should be able to see all the items used to create the form.

In addition to Google, what are other search engine companies?
original title: search engine companiesIn addition to Google what are other search engine companies
Hello
There is another search engine that is Bing.com etc, but I'd say you look the link below for the search engine:
I hope this helps.

Same as above. I am concerned by the help of internet explore right now. I would like your answer.
Firefox is a browser, not a search engine. Also, Internet Explorer is a browser, not a search engine. Google is a search engine (even if they make a browser called Chrome). Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer, and you should consider moving to this full time. But Google is just a search engine used by Firefox to help you better use the internet and has nothing to do with the security of Firefox in general.

What is the search engine "install custom converter web search?
I downloaded Open Office. Unfortunately, I also had a 'Video Converter' toolbar, that I didn't. I got rid of it using tools. But I still have a search bar that says (in gray) "Installl converter custom Web Search". It is part of the 'converter Installl Community Toolbar (with three "L"s)". This means that even if I can't not see the toolbar, it is always LURKING in my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X, 10.7.5). How can I get rid of this?
Thank you!Make itself comfortable.

I go to the small magnifying glass to try to choose a search engine, but the icon does not respond. I tried to go to options to reset the search, but I can't find answer here either. I don't know what else to do. I removed and reloaded Firefox several times, but it doesn't seem to help.
Hello
Refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox as his default factory while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.
Refresh for Firefox:
- Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:
- Click the menu button
click Help
and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.
- If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
- Click the menu button
- At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.
- Firefox closes. Once the update process is complete, Firefox will display a window with the imported information.
- Click Finish and reopen Firefox.
This corrects the problem? Please report to us!
Thank you.

I left all the Google services currently, I used Gmail, Chrome, etc... due to the recent sale of information to the Gov't and what not and even though she may or may not be true I'm sure and switched to Firefox and a different email provider. In any case so far, I like Firefox I use DuckDuckGo as my current default search and I would use as my search engine when I type a search in the address bar, by default it is Google, how can I change to a search provider I want as DuckDuckGo?
Hello
If you have installed DuckDuckGo on Firefox, you can follow these steps:
- Type of topic: config in the address bar.
- A warning appears, click on "I'll be careful, I promise!
- Type browser.search.defaultEngine in the search at the top of the page box.
- Double-click the item that appears.
- Set the value to DuckDuckGo or any search engine you want to use (the case I think).
(I have attached a screenshot).

My search engine doesn't remember all the names that I type. What can I do to make it back as if it were?
Yes, it's the Google site and this entry field uses autocomplete = off, Firefox won't store form data that you enter in this field of research.
You can use the build-in on: home page as your home page that does not have this attribute.
See for a similar case with the name and password fields.

Updating NVIDIA, I received a message that my browser (Firefox) was corrupt and that I had to do my default browser Internet Explorer with Google as a search engine. I had many major problems with software advertising, viruses etc since I updated FF 2 days. Firefox was hacked? I reported these problems and give all the details in the last days, you can find them if check you email from this account (Stephenwolf) or +. +++ @hotmail.com. I hope that your update was not one of those sites that run misleading ads on the search engines for packages of shit... but it sounds really like your Firefox is not clean yet. Here's my method to track down and clean the bad Add - ons and other hijackers. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.
(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.
(2) open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
- in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
firefox.exe "about:addons"
In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Remember that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?
(3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.
Success?
Then we can work on the restoration of your normal settings.

How can I remove the selection of search engines to the search bar as you type?
Since the last update when I type in the search field, all the possible search engines are visible, and it's very confusing use now. It is also a double feature as I see that the selection of search engine is still available next to the search icon.
Is there a way to disable the display of all the search engines available in the results 'search as you type "?
Running Ubuntu.
Please, do not react with an antibot question or answer, the only goal, is that I see if it's possible or not until you switch to another browser. Seems more recent updates to firefox are based mainly on the subjective views of individuals rather than on the wishes of the user. Such a shame for that one good browser.
Best regards and thanks in advance.
You can find research tab to change search engines in Options/preferences between the tabs and content in the current version.
If you want to restore the window previously used independently to manage search engines, you can enable or disable this pref to false with a middle-click on the topic: config page.
- topic: config page: browser.search.showOneOffButtons = false
You will need to close and restart Firefox to make it work properly.
You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue. -
No matter what I do - I tried my search engines, the reorganization remove Bing in the list, all together, ranging up to about: config and change all values from Bing to google.comand even reset Firefox - every time that I reopen it Firefox, Bing is always my default search engine. I really want to get rid of and have Google be my default and stay there even when I closed and reopened Firefox, but I don't know what else to try.
There is software like Advanced SystemCare thanks to its surf Protection feature that allows to protect the files in the folder of Firefox profile against the changes.
If you have this software, then check the settings or uninstall this software.Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You have not been hacked. Looks that you have installed the malware or adware programs on your hard drive, and it is at the origin of the result of your search be redirected to Yahoo. You have two options to remove:
- Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for Mac. It was developed by an employee trust and respected here. It is a simple and non-intrusive program that removes malware known/adware from your hard drive. That's all that. It does nothing and is not take anything else. Unlike the antiviruss protection programs, it does not work in the background of your computer, using the resources and also unlike anti-virus programs (which are not necessary on Macs), it is not actively prevent malware infections or adware. Its only purpose is to remove them.
- Restart your computer. As of April 26, 2016, changes to the support article here-> stop the cAds in Safari - Apple charge El Capitan State removes adware when you connect, but only when connecting. So, if you do not want to use Malwarebytes, it's another option for you.
Then go to Safari preferences-> Extensions and remove any that you do not install or you don't need. Then go to Safari preferences-> search, then reset your preferred Google search engine. Finally, go to Safari Preferences-> general and make sure that your home page has not been changed and if she, change it back to what it was before.
