What Windows search advice laptop specs worked ss14 & 4 k editing automatically using

My W7 14z 4 year old Dell laptop crashed and I want to buy a new Windows 10 laptop to use with Premiere elements 14.

I'm looking for recommendations from the community on what has worked for them with respect to laptop computers that they use successfully to edit videos 4 k.

I'm not a pro but a passionate amateur who uses a camera Lumix FZ1000 capturing 4 k mp4.  My old W7 using an i5 processor struggled to play (stutter) 4 k vids.

I've heard that Windows 10 with an i7 processor over 4 k friendly.   Any help in my research on what laptop buy would be greatly appreciated!

The SSD holds the bone, the main software and video projects folder.  If I could, I installed the software high school (such as Word and Excel!) on the HARD disk.  All data, including the original video and photography, is stored on the HARD drive in a main folder backups easily.  I have two separate backup drives.  So, at any time, I have three copies of everything that is important to me.

There are a few years (with the help of Steve and a guy named Bill Hunt), I worked on a video procedure based SSD that takes full advantage of the SSD speeds.

For a video project, I create a folder on the SSD.  For example, "C:/Oregon Coast Vacation.  It will be subfolders, 'Active Video', 'Active Photo', 'Audio assets' and 'Output over. "

If necessary, fill records SSD with COPIES of the required originals that are kept on the HARD drive.  There are many ways to do it, but my favorite is with Lightroom where I put my photo and video organized life.  Lightroom do just as well with the cataloguing of images and videos files.

Then I open the new project of pre "Oregon Coast vacation" for example in the elements of Prime Minister.  In preferences, make sure that all "Scratch Disks" are set to save in the SSD project folder.  "média Cache" is stubborn and must usually be reset.  The rest seem to remember 'even as project. "

Then I do a backup to set parameters.  The project is now ready to add the media.  Since I was the video assets have been pre-selected and made copies in the current video file, I load all at once. I get the most important clip and drag it to the timeline to create automatic project settings.  I have check and save again to make sure they "stick".

Now I do all the editing.  I do regular backups, and sometimes "insurance" I do save money in numbered versions.

Here's the good part.  Using the operating system (Windows Explorer), I can move the ENTIRETY of THE RECORD HARD drive or even an external drive.  If I want to work on it again, I move back to the SSD.   There are a lot of files, so the move may take a minute.  But the improved SSD performance for video editing more than makes up for it.

When you change files AVCHD/1080 p 60 my old rendering of output time is close to 1: 1.   In other words, a 3 minute video is rendered in nearly 3 minutes.  If I put in a large number of transitions, effects, etc. it may take more time.   4K video editing feels the same thing while doing the work.  Nothing is slow.  However, the output makes more like 1, 2, or 3.  In other words, one minute 3 4K video may take 6 to 8 minutes.  With 4K, there are more opportunities edition that work without image degradation.  Include "Pan & Zoom", cropping, and "Stabilizer Shake".   Those who will extend the time of rendering output.

Please keep in mind that my computer is now a few years old.  There may be hardware and software improvements that intelligently uses higher speed drives more quickly and smoothly.  List of Steve and benchmarks can be all your needs.

  • Search function does not work in Adobe Digital Editions

    Hi all

First of all, I use a PC and I am creating a 'fixed provision' epub using Adobe InDesign. I have included pictures and buttons to navigate through the book, and everything works fine, until I try to use search in Adobe Digital Editions. The search function works fine in ibooks, then I tried to open it in any other ebook readers, which has blurred my text and images, this Adobe Digital Editions software did not. For this reason, I want to stay with using Adobe Digital Editions. All text is online, so I know this isn't the problem. I tried to save the file as a "Reflowable" epub, even though I know that this will not work for me, just to see if the search function would work, and he did. So my question is, why can I not use the search feature of Adobe Digital Edition with a provision fixed epub, and is it possible that I can fix it?

    Thank you!

    Kelsey

If anyone wonders, I found a solution to this problem, but also problems with fonts does display correctly in the Adobe Digital Editions software.

    CircularFlo

Basically, you download the trial and it works with InDesign. It will also allow you to make a Kindle Edition, which is excellent. Basically you pay $99 for every epub to create it is less than 50 pages, and $199 you will get an epub with an unlimited number of pages. It also adds a lot of great animation features. I think it works well, and I hope this helps someone!

  • Best laptop for work with Adobe CC

I'm about to buy a new laptop. I did some internet research on what is a good laptop to work with the software Adobe CC. I'm having a hard time getting a response. Does anyone have suggestions on what laptop to get that works with all of the suite No. or minimum questions? I heard that the Nvidia driver has problems with Adobe. That of just 10 Windows or is it ok for Windows 8? I hate to get an older version when a new version is released, any suggestion that someone can provide would be appreciated. Although you can specify what system requirements I should look for. It must be that this laptop to last me for a while, so I don't want to get something that is obsolete in a year or two.

  • When I try to reinstall Windows XP on my Toshiba laptop, it works until I reboot. Then it says nvrd32.sys not found: press any key to continue.

    original title: NVRD32. SYS ERROR

When I try to reinstall Windows XP SP3 on my Toshiba laptop, it works until the first reboot. When I boot on CD it comes up saying nvrd32.sys is not found: press any key to continue. When I press a key it is said: the Installer failed. Press a key to restart your computer.

So, I don't know what to do. I tried searching on google and found a set, but talk of computer that I couldn't begin to understand. Basically, what I consider somewhere or can I fix it myself? I just paid for a new disk of Windows XP SP3, so I'm not looking forward to having to pay someone to use it.

    Hello

    ·         Windows XP came preinstalled on your laptop?

    ·         If so, you have a recovery partition?

    ·         Where did you buy the disc of Windows XP SP3 for?

nvrd32.sys file is a chipset driver and must be installed via floppy F6 during initial installation.

Method 1: To do this, follow these steps.

    a. you can download the chipset drivers from Toshiba Web site and copy it to a floppy drive.

    b. press F6 at the start of the installation of Windows XP.

    c. follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers for the chipset.

Method 2: You can contact Toshiba to restore to factory on the laptop.

  • Win 7: Windows search no longer works from within Windows Explorer, big problem!

Hi all, in the past I have been using Windows 7 search feature and I'm in love. She was very powerful. What I liked in particular has the ability to search to explore: [win key] + F, then you type in your search (as "ext:pdf date: 2010 wonderful" returned all the documents with the extension .pdf changed in 2010 or later and containing the keyword 'wonderful'). VERY another useful feature is the ability to search ANYWHERE on the computer, for example in the records, but also outlook. For example, when I wanted to recover all matters affecting a client (like "boeinggg + body" would mean any document or email on the problems of society and the fuselage of boeinggg;) ("from: condittt" would return all email sent by Mr. Condittt). UNFORTUNATELY, it doesn't work anymore, and I don't understand why. I searched on +-10 hours on various blogs and sites Web + myself, without success. I think I tried everything I could think of. Of course, among other things, I tried to look for a problem with automated tools of Windows, and I also rebuilt the index several times, move it to a different location, try indexing less files, etc etc etc. Research from outlook still works, but it's so slow and not practical to use at all (only the buttons, I prefer keywords). Research in the library always work also, that is to say if I'm in a certain folder and this folder is indexed, so I can search for documents inside as explained above. But my various indexed files are not all on the same tree, so in this way is really painful. I also tried only indexing outlook, he does something, the exact number of items is displayed as 'indexed' I can search and outlook. But still no Explorer - and that's what I want to do. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall search Windows (programs and features, enable or disable, windows searches the windows features). I also tried the 'old way' windows search (programs and features, enable or disable, the indexing service windows features). Of course, I have a valid Windows license file (Windows 7 Professional SP1), to date. My computer is a brand new, more stimulated for laptop Dell Precision (not reinstalled by myself so no Dell * on it). And... I'm repeating myself, but it did not work before! "One day" (I have not noticed exactly when) he has stopped working correctly, at the beginning, I thought that I could survive it but now I know that I really like this feature, I need. If anyone can help, I am really disappointed here. I can hardly re - install windows, because I still don't know the problem, so it would definitely be back. Otherwise, it would be 'just' a matter of 10 hours of work and I would do it, because I really, REALLY need this feature, which in my opinion is the only reason to use outlook today. I could also try the hotline of Dell, but I doubt that they will really help. Thank you very much in advance to the community, I will respond to all suggestions, I will follow all advises reasonable, and I understand what has happened and how to solve similar problems, I will explain in great detail. Bravo Stéphane

    Hello

We are pleased that the issue is resolved.

One of the reasons could be a software conflict. It could also be a malware or a virus.
