Then, after about 20 minutes (and this happens every time) sound starts coming out the speakers and headphones at the same time. When I go to playback devices is no helmet, right speakers (currently enabled). How can I get sound only the helmet?

Hi MichaelB22,

1. were you able to use the headset before without any problem?

2 did you a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

Method 1:

If you connect the headphones to the front taking, then try to plug on the rear Plug and check if it helps.

You can also try using a different helmet and check for the issue.

For more information, see the article:

Connect one microphone, music player or other audio device to your computer

Method 2:

You can try disabling the speakers and check if it helps.

a. click Start and Control Panel.

b. click hardware and sound , then sound.

c. on the Read tab, check the speaker settings.

d. right-click on the speaker and select disable.

e. click apply and then click ok.

I think that your L500 supports the Realtek audio driver.
My unit with Realtek audio chip has a manager of its installed Realtek, which is located in the Panel!

    Check the settings there.
In Realtek Manager of its label of speaker on the right, you will find analog and digital outlets.
Right click and check if you can disable the sound through the speakers while the headphones are connected.

Is the headset itself works because you can listen to the sound with headphones so for now I doubt s a hardware problem

In any case, perhaps the problem is only linked to its driver and updated it could solve the problem in your case, I would check the Web from Toshiba site to download the latest version.

  • How to use headphones and speakers at the same time

I want to use headphones at the same time that I use the speakers.

I am hard of hearing and need the LOUD volume. When others are watching a film, projected on HDTV, they won't let me turn the volume up to where I need it, which is why, headphones and speakers at the same time.

I use Windows 7, I want to stick with Windows 7, so I want a Windows 7 solution.

If there is no solution for Windows 7 and there is a solution using Windows 10, then and then only, I will be upgrading to Windows 10.

Using headphones and speakers was possible under Windows XP. I think that a kid at Microsoft, with a regular audience, thought this feature was redundant and removed. Large.

Macs will play through the headphones and speakers, so maybe it's time to buy a Mac!

  • Audio - headphones and speakers at the same time playing

My kaptop is an Asus G53sx running windows 7 premium 64-bit. It has a generic realtek built into the sound card with the latest drivers.

Currently, no sound from my speakers if no headset is plugged into the headphone jack. However, audio comes from the speakers and the headphones if headphones are connected. In addition, audio workstation inhibition translates the speakers muted, but the headset remains reactivated.

    Things I've tried:

    Disable/re-enabling sound devices.

Play with audio devices by default.

Play with sound priority application settings.

    Reinstall the drivers.

Uninstalling the drivers, let windows install generic drivers, reinstall the drivers.

Resettlement of former drivers from the manufacturer of the disk.

    Using the generic windows drivers.

All these have resulted in the same symptoms; No sound when no helmet, not his from the two devices when Yes headphones.

I see from the description of the model, he has Creative EAX supported sound card and not from Realtek. If you have installed the Realtek drivers, there may be problems of work. Make sure you install the correct driver, reboot the PC and then check.

    Hello

Have you tested other headphones or external speakers? If this isn't the case, you should do this!

In addition, I miss important information about your operating system and the audio driver. You should try to update the audio driver. The latest version, you can find the Toshiba site.

Do any of you know how I can fix this? So that if I insert my headphones , the sound just goes through the headphones and not through the speakers at the same time. I Googled for a while now but I cant find a way to solve it. (Im not a PCs / laptops expert)

    Thanks in advance.

Hello. Please post your problem again, because half of your text has been cut. You may need to type it instead of paste.

Try to switch to the native Windows audio driver.

    1. open Device Manager (found in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on the Creative Labs Recon pilot.
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Recon pilot, do it again but reverse steps 2-7 names].

If you have only the symptoms with one of the drivers, then the other is at fault. If you have the same symptoms with two audio drivers, then it is likely not a driver problem, maybe material.

  • No sound from headphones and speakers.

Original title: map its maybe broken

Recently after taking my laptop on a short trip, I put to the top and turned on to find that the sound wasn't working. The speaker symbol had an x close to her and says that no devices were installed. After some messing around, I reinstalled the sound drivers, and now the speaker symbol is back to normal, but acknowledges that my monitor (not my headphones and portable speakers). Because my monitor has no speakers, this does not work for me. I've been trying my brain, tried everything, but nothing seems to work (helmet, not wearing a helmet, reinstall the drivers, active services), and I wonder if this means that my sound card is broken. I had problems with it in the past.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

What is the brand and model of the computer sound card?

Sound problems can be caused by cables that are not connected properly, damaged drivers, incompatible drivers, sound settings, missing updates and problems with your sound card.

You can follow the steps in the Microsoft KB article and check if it solves the problem:

    No sound in Windows

  • Is it possible to route audio via the headphones and speakers at the same time

I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to play sounds through a pair of speakers connected to the output jack for headphones and also have the sound out of speakers, so. I know it is not possible using the audio controls integrated in the System Prefs, but maybe he thought that there is a 3 rd-party app that could do it.

AFAIK, it is possible to read audio data through the internal speakers or the headphone output or another output as speakers USB or Bluetooth device, or a DAC, but not the internal speakers and headphones something plugged into the outlet.

  • Inspiron 17R SE 7720 - Audio from headphones and speakers

When I plug my headphones, sound still comes from my speakers.

The popup asking what device I plugged is no - longer everytime I plug my speakers - but it does to the microphone socket.

It is difficult to say 100% for you that it is a hardware failure, because it is not a diagnostic test. If you Win10 you could go back to the operating system in which decision worked and see if it still works here.

If you have the original operating system came with the laptop, you can perform a recovery of the system (original return the laptop to the factory setting). This will be the fix or confirm that there is a hardware failure.

To the best of my knowledge your model of laptop doesn't have a replaceable audio port circuit. If I'm wrong on this subject you will need to replace the motherboard to replace the Jack unless you can perform work on the motherboard. You could qualify for something being folded.

A simple solution is to get a USB input audio cheap and use it for headset and your internal audio system when you want that the speakers to play.

  • Audio playback through headphones and speakers

Headphones or speakers in windows 7, it cannot have them both?

Looked at other issues, nothing seemed close.

My machine has dual boot, Windows 7, XP and Vista ultimate and now XP. In XP and Vista I have the speakers and headphones plugged together, playerd noise, so I could use one or the other by plugging them in front and back taken audio.

This allows me to play during the day with speakers, and then at night with headphones and no round reaching under my desk to remove the cables.

Now I use windows 7 and many other issues I have with it, I can't play with speakers or headset until I went through a lot stupid click on deactivate one or choose the other as a default value. Why this has been changed in windows 7 after Vista, it seems totally useless logic. I can turn off my speakers with the power button and get the helmet works. Now, I'm either or. So my new IR headphones are wasted. Please, someone tell me there is a work around?

It's little interference silliness like this that give me want to stay under XP.

Much thanks in the meantime someone has found a work around.

I have my Jabra GN9350 both my speakers for computer, audio playback at the same time. :)

Here's the trick (and it is verified on 3 other systems Win 7):

    (1) R click on your speaker icon, select "Recording Devices" (if you have the sounds dialog box to the top, it's the 2nd 'Recording' tab)

    (2) click on R in the white space, make sure that the TWO "show disabled devices" AND "show disconnected devices" is checked.

    (3) * now, this step will take some thought for each computer used: on my laptop (HP Elitebook) I get a "Stereo mix" device, ACTIVATE this device.

    4) click on properties, click on the "Listen" tab

    (5) check the box 'Listen to this device', also change the drop-down list below 'read through this device' to be your second audio device

-To check that you have done this correctly, go back to the tab of the dialog box sound reading, you should now see two of your audio devices showing green graphics small displacement.

Here are the specific parameters that I have on my laptop, maybe this will help you with your settings:

Speakers - GN9350 (by default the communications device)

Speakers - SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio (default device)

Feature 'Listen' stereo Mix - point this device on my GN9350 headset.
