When I click to open a new tab how to get Firefox to display recent used frequently the web pages instead of my home page?
When I click the icon "more" to open a new tab appears again my homepage. It displays a page of Web sites recently or frequently used in a format of screenshot showing the home page of the Web site that I could then click on and this website would be the load. Recently, Yahoo had an overlay on its splash screen that asked if I wanted it to be my default search engine. Without thinking, I clicked it and that seemed to change the way my home pages loaded on startup and how clicking on a tab is no longer produced the results I'm looking for as described above. I have since fixed the problem of the homepage so that it now loads properly when Firefox starts.
Help, please. I would just go back to what I had when I clicked open a new tab. If anyone needs more information or clarification I will provide willingly. Thank you very much.
One of your modules corresponds to this number, for example, the version 3.18, or sounds associated with "hp" in some way? You can copy and paste a list of your extensions in a response by selecting the Extensions from the list on the next page with the mouse, then using Ctrl + c or right click > copy. Either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
When you paste, it's a little messy, but we are used to it.

Hello, How68ard!
I thought that I didn't an Ask bar as well... the thing is: I had a bar of Foxit for my pdf reader and Foxit bar had a built-in Ask search tool.
I just uninstall my bar of Foxit (and the search for the Ask, accordingly) and the 'new tab' function (CTRL + T and sign "+") works again!
Don't you think it might be something similar with you?
I hope this helps!
Kind regards

Firefox does not open a new tab page, when I click on the small + firefox does not respanw, but if I use right mouse botton -> tab double as it opens a new tab how can I solve this?
Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
- Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

For example, if I'm on a web page of recipe and I click on the + icon to open a new tab, so I can look at the comments to this recipe while keeping the web page of recipe, open the new tab appears as a blank page research right now. I wish the new coming tab like the page of a recipe where I was when I clicked on the + to a new tab. In this way, I don't have to go get the Web of recipe in the new tab page, and comments... I would already be on the same web page of recipe in the new tab and then simply click on reviews. I hope I have explained this clearly. Thank you!
This thread has some solutions:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/762043
The simplest seems to be: hold CTRL and left click on the button reload. You can also click the reload (for example 'click' with the mouse wheel, if you have a mouse wheel.) The thread above has other options.
Edit: you could also hold down the Ctrl key and drag a tab beside himself to clone, another suggestion of the thread above.

I have doqnloaded a new Mozilla and it responds when I try to open a new tab.
The browser opens a new tab for the resolution of the problems, but when I try to open a tab, nothing happens.
No idea where you picked up the extension of the Sammsoft toolbar? A web search indicates that it might be unwanted software.
Try turning it off here:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category
If a link appears above the extension after the deactivation, click on that restart Firefox to complete the process.
Does make a difference with your new tab button?

The site that appears is Ask.com, and it has changed because when I downloaded iLivid installer I do not uncheck the boxes that asked me if I wanted to make this change.
I'll list the steps, but please note that related to always ask Firefox extensions can replace your preference, then you will want to check and disable or remove all this here first extension:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category
Here's how you can set/restore what appears in a new tab:
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the filter box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) to get the page thumbnails, right-click in the browser.newtab.url preference and click Reset
(4) for the other choice, double-click on the browser.newtab.url preference and enter the desired value:
(i) tab empty
about:blank
(ii) integrated Firefox home page
about:home
(iii) any other page
full URL to the page
Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

When I run Firefox, it opens normally, but when I click on + for a new page, the new page has 9 small windows on the screen. I searched for help and tried to delete the history. Now the 9 pages are still there but empty.
This is a new feature. It is expected that when you open a new page rather than it is empty it has miniature pictures that you can use as links to open the pages that you use frequently. The content of the page can be customized.
It is easy to turn the feature on or off, click on the small grid gray icon top right.
More permanently, the feature can be disabled if you prefer. Also note if you use the private browsing mode pages can read is not put in a new tab as a thumbnail.

Why does clicking on "+ open a new tab" open a new tab?
By clicking on the plus sign at the top of the page to the right end of the open tabs used to open a new tab. It is no more. How to open new tabs?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

When I have an open a new tab, it goes to a strange, not Virgin address or home page
When I open a new tab, this address appears automatically in the address box: http://www.searchnu.com/410?tag=newtab
How can I prevent this and return to the empty address when I open a new tab?
This happens usually when you install certain software or applications, and with it some unwanted applications also downloaded as toolbars, ads, etc..
We suggest you try to change the homepage visit https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How%20to%20set%20the%20home%20page to find out how.
