  I started having a problem with my left mouse click button responding really slow several days ago. You will need to press the left click for a few seconds to answer. It became worse progessively where the left click button does not at all. The right click button works. I did everything I could have regarding watch KB from Microsoft. I have Windows XP Home Edition. At first I thought it was due to lack of memory. I was able to free up disk space and currently have 35 GB free of 74.4 total.

  I ran the McAfee and Spybot with no viruses found. Also ran Disk Defragmenter. Then I tried another mouse with a different port. Used a mouse with a round port that plugs in the back. I also used a mouse wheelie with rectangular USB port forward without change.

  I also did a clean boot and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers of mouse without change. Also a system restore without change.

  However, I reconfigure the mouse so that the right click is the left click. While the physical button left click does not work on two mice... the right click worked as main!

  So I wonder if there is something wrong with the system. Any help would be appreciated.

  First of all you should confirm that your mouse device is OK.

  Check your mouse alleged defective on another machine; If it works fine here, you could have a card mother ICH southbridge IC or i/o controller problem which is very rare but can be seen in the old machines (over 3 years).

  I don't think that software point of view you can remedy as the same symptoms going on with USB PS/2 & the two. On your side you can also clean boot of the operating system. So now the suspect is material.

  Please leave a final answer what was detected exactly wrong. As the case will help other users to enhance the experience.

  The best thing to do when such strangeness slips into your phone is a battery pull.  Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it a few seconds later.

  2 when was the last time it was working fine?

  Check and make sure that the mouse settings are correctly set.
