When I press on my windows logo key, he stresses that the programs starting with that letter why?

I wanted to hang my computer, so I press the L and windows logo key, I expect to lock, but instead, he stressed "Left 4 Dead 2.exe" so I press it again, now, it highlights 'Small Inferno.exe' why? (in addition, no other keyboard shortcuts too much work as Windows + R logo or even just the logo key Windows to open the menu start!)

If it helps, my keyboard is an Alienware TactX keyboard, and it worked normally for about a year now! Ask me for anything that will help to solve this annoying problem!

Thank you

There is a 'Game' switch on the Alienware TactX keyboard that disables the key features of Windows among other things. This 'Game' switch could be just above the keys F3/F4 but check the documentation of your own keyboard if you can't find it.

    Hi Bryan,.

On most HP, it is necessary press the function (fn) key while pressing one of the f1 through f12 keys to activate the default features.

FN key run frequently used system functions when you press on in combination with a function key or the

    ESC key.

I suggest you to check the manual of the laptop for the combination used for the fn keys to work.

If the problem still persists, you may need to contact HP

    original title: 'Open with' problem...

My office was attacked by malware. I have run virus scan and all updates that were available. Hello

Just in case there are persistent pieces of malware here is the method of complete elimination.
.exe question difficulty in the next message.

Try Mode safe mode with networking - repeatedly, press F8 that you start.

The best two methods allow scanners to run and/or AV.exe out of the way or removing.

    1.
CTRL SHIFT ESC - task manager OR right click on the taskbar - task manager

Process tab - complete the process on AV. EXE and continue with the uninstall Guide.

If necessary use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to

C:\Program Malwarebytes Anti - Malware\mbam.exe or where it is installed - if
necessary right click on the shortcut of Malwarebytes - Properties - tab - target line to see where it
    is installed.

Right-click on it and rename it to ZZMbam.COM (or something different than now) and
Double-click it, and then run it like this. You can rename it back later. Do the same with
other programs according to the needs. Use this method to others as needed - NOT assume all
a program deletes all or that it is no other malicious software.

    2.
Another method is to use them:

Use Process Explorer to "Suspend" the process will not stop

Then use AutoRuns to delete the malicious program startup items.

Now use UnLocker to delete the files in the malware.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I don't know it must be frustrating!

Let us try the following and see if that helps:

Method 1: You can use Event Viewer to check what is causing this problem. The event viewer is an advanced tool that displays detailed information about important events on your computer. It can be useful when troubleshooting problems and errors with Windows and other programs.

    Reference:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer

Method 2: Put the computer to boot and see if that helps:

A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.

    Reference:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.

    Method 3: SFC scanner.

System File Checker (SFC) scan will replace the missing or corrupted system files on your computer.

    Reference:

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 4: I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure.

Here is a link that will give you information on how to perform a full scan of the system:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

, Note 1: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note 2: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope the helps of information. We know if you need help. We will be happy to help you.

I thought it would be FAFSA is causing your problem.

  • Turn off the backlight of Split X 2 Tablet Windows Logo key

When you use the computer in tablet mode, the "home" button for Windows logo on the bottom of the frame lights up bright white. Is there a way to turn this light off? At night, it's blatant and annoying.

I found a solution. It's a little dramatic, but it is effective.

I downloaded the service manual for the system see if I could identify the material associated with the button. It seems that the 'button' appearance is actually only a part of the touchscreen table. The "Backlight" is a completely independent piece of equipment. On page 63 of the manual, the component is called the 'Home LED Board'.

To get a better idea of what looks like this 'advice', I used the number of terms of reference to find the part on ebay:

I have concluded that the simplest action plan would be to simply shut off the power to this Commission. I removed the two screws on the base of the Tablet, then removed the two screws. Use a spudger, I coaxed the back cover of the case open to expose the circuits below. I don't have to remove the cover. There, I could see a small black cable.

I used very narrow beaks pliers to disconnect the cable.

I tightened the lid back and replaced the screws and covers.

Voila! The backlight of the 'home' button is now disabled and the button itself is still working and still causes haptic. It is a reversible hardware change as the cable can just be reconnected if necessary. For the most part, I can't the need for this blatant backlight, in any case.

I hope this helps someone else out there!

  • The "fax" interface opens when I press print. Windows 7 Home premium - HP jet Office 6313,

I had to install an update/fix for this printer (HP Office jet all-in-One 6313) my first installation of Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer (about 3 years ago). This does not all questions (I had a few problems scanning) but the solutions found to get. I recently downloaded the whole package from HP for Windows 7 again in the hope that all such issues would be resolved but havn't got round to install (mostly because I don't know if I should remove the previous first etc.?), but the presence of the new version stopped me to send the impression by opening the "fax" printer interface when I press 'print '. Any ideas - I see I'm not the only one. Thanks Charlie

Hello Charlie, and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems printing.  I would like to help.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Windows 7 key invalid product after the re - install?

I recently had to make a new re-install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop using my USB and an iso I downloaded from Microsoft.  Everything was going great until yesterday when suddenly a box appears saying that my Windows could not be enabled because the key is not valid.  I used the product key that is located on the Windows sticker on the back of my laptop, so I know that it is legitimate and it seems rather strange that this would begin past 2 weeks after the new facility instead of immediately.  If anyone can shine a light on it, I'd appreciate it.

Well, the errors disappeared, but you are still not activated, try the activation of the phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
