  • Mouse and keyboard does not work after sleeping on a laptop

After awakening from a sleep of my laptop, my keyboard and mouse went crazy, pushing buttons at random on the screen, beep and completely freeze then both. I restarted my computer and got to the login screen which I was able to type in, then he connected and the keyboard and mouse do not work. I plugged in a USB mouse and the mouse that works very well. After some playing around, I got the keyboard works by accessing the control panel and change the speed at which the keys type and for some reason, this fixes the keyboard. However, I am still unable to get the mouse works.

So three questions, 1 - what happened in the first place? 2 - why my keyboard was working to connect, but not once it really connected? 3. How can I get my mouse back?
    Thank you!

  • Qosmio G30-163 mouse and keyboard does not work properly

    Hi all

I installed an update of the firmware of the toshiba site. I think that the upgrade was for the dvd but am not sure. I just saw an available upgrade and installed. Stupid of me. The dvd drive has been previously not recording. If after installing the update of the firmware I has not restarted the machine. In the meantime, I forgot the upgrade and then I did to fix the error of dvd

"Start the Registry Editor (start, run and type regedit and click on).

Search for "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" (and "UpperFilters.bak" "LowerFilters.bak", if they exist) value under the following key in the registry and delete it:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    Exit the registry editor.

    Reset. »

Now, after restart the keyboard and the mouse does not work. I can't go in safe mode because I can't press ok for the user login screen. I have attached an external keyboard, but it still does not work.

I use windows xp, I have a lot of data. I can't do anything. If anyone has any idea please help me. The laptop is out of warranty. I'm stuck. Help, please.

    John

S rally strange because I put t see a link between the firmware CD/DVD, UpperFilters and LowerFilters and the keyboard and mouse.

This is first time that a removal of the upper and lower filters would undermine the functionality of keyboard and mouse. Which is really strange.

Anyway, you are able to access the BIOS? If this isn't the case, then this is not good.

First of all, you should try to save the data stored on the HARD disk in this case, I recommend to remove the laptop HARD drive and connect it using a USB HDD on another controller.
This would allow you to save the data to another HARD disk.

Put the removed HARD disk in Notepad, and then try to reinstall the OS from the Toshiba restore CD.
I hope that this will be possible because I don't see another way to get the operating system again.

    Good luck by a friend

    Hi barry1980,

Thank you for visiting Windows Vista Microsoft answers forum.

You can perform a system restore on the computer to a date where the keyboard volume control button and the mouse was working fine. In addition, you can try to check with another keyboard and a mouse.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on finish.

You can visit the link to the KB Article for reference:

You can also uninstall and reinstall the keyboard device driver.

Uninstalling and Re installing keyboard driver from Device Manager:

    1. open Device Manager:
Click the Start button, in the start search box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

    2. in the Device Manager, on the left hand keyboard, click the PLUS (+) symbol.

  • Wireless mouse and keyboard do not function correctly after Windows Update.

Original title: question of another wireless keyboard and mouse.

Is the keyboard model 1. 0 comfort wireless 1045, the optical receiver 3.0 has & optical mouse taken 2.0 supported by Windows 7? They are used to work with XP & my Vista Ultimate Home. In fact, they have worked with Windows 7 for a while. I think that an update (I have no idea of who or what) caused the keyboard to stop functioning. Yes, they are old, but I do not keep up with the Jones, I use what works, until someone thinks that we need another dose of fallout and disables it for me. I'm angry again.

  • Mouse and keyboard do not work after you have connected the iPod

I don't have in my possession this maching XP yet as it is my niece.

When it has connected his iPod, the configuration and the keyboard work more fully. Start in safe mode did not help, she said.

Any suggestions for when I'll be at the computer?

    Thank you

    Hi dux.

You can check what are the other USB devices on the computer.

Often when there is a failure in one device in the USB chain, it can prevent the operation in other USB devices.

You can try the iPod in another USB port on the computer.

You can also remove a powered hub if one is connected between the device and the computer.

  • Mouse and keyboard do not work at the login screen?

Model: Dell Dimension E521 Windows 7 Ultimate
My PC has no PS/2 slot.

The keyboard and mouse work through the BIOS and everything until windows starts.
Once my PC arrives at 'Starting Windows' screen, my keyboard and mouse stop working. (Their power lights and indicator goes out to Midway through the 'Starting Windows' screen)

They do not work in safe mode, and I've already restored my PC before the problem of return to.  I tried most of the system repair options in the CD (they work here).  Nothing wrong with the hardware or start.

May I ask if there is a way for me to restore the registry files and drivers without a clean cloth and do a reinstall customized windows 7?

EDIT UPDATE: YES! Well, I finally got my PC in safe mode with work keyboard and mouse. I had to restore it when the keyboard and mouse worked always, then to restart and login. Once I connect I force shut down the computer before the keyboard and mouse stop working (peripheral installation failure). Then I run my PC in safe mode and it works.

Currently back up my files, what should I do now to solve the problem? 1 AM edit: the issue has been resolved after much turmoil. It turns out that the keyboard and mouse working again now that I restarted my PC normally out of safe mode.

  • mouse and keyboard do not work once the computer wakes up from sleep mode

    running Win7 64 bit

    Processor Intel core 2duo
    x 2 corsair 2 GB RAM
    ATi Raedon 4800 series gfx
all the drivers are up to date.
no idea why they don't work after the release of the mode not sleep? It is very frustrating as I have either stop whenever I'm done with the computer, or reset when it comes out of sleep mode.

Oops, ok, so I disappeared for a bit there.

Yes, I tried that as well.
OK, so, this weekend, I flashed my bios. and that seems to have solved the problem (woohoo)
for anyone else reading this, if you are not very savvy with computers, I would say DO NOT Flash your BIOS, but find someone who knows a little about computers to do it. If you do not Flash your BIOS correctly, it can damage your motherboard
  • mouse and keyboard will not wake up system after long wait period

Maybe someone can help push hard at this one.  I can't wake up the system after long time.  I tried to change the settings - to no savings at various times to save energy.

I suspect that there may be a registry problem.

I'm under System 7 on a HP Pavillion dual processor unit.  I tried to use cache cleaners, optimizers, but failed.  Every morning when I wake up the machine he is frozen about half the time.  I have to turn off (using the power button) and it will run fine all day.

I also thought that maybe it's enough food, but the only add on I installed a video card.

    Other devices in use:

    • Logitech Webcam
    • Printer series
    • Ethernet connection to a router

I would be very interested in hearing ideas that I could try.

    Hi Paul,.

    ·         Is it a USB keyboard and a mouse?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    b. Select Bus USB controllers in the list of the USB hub root.

    c. right-click and select Properties.

Unfortunately, it seems that there is an electronic failure after having split the water. Leave it for a while to dry out. However, I think you should contact the Asp (SAV). Sorry, dude, but water, coffee, juices are the, enemy, laptops.

  • Mouse and keyboard do not work properly

    Hey,.

I am running through the forums looking for another keyboard problem, that my friend has, but I couldn't help noticing the Q who has not had a response.
If you have a registry cleaner, you could run that and see if that solves your problem.
