I inadvertently deleted the admin. identity, I think in Vista Ultima. My password does not work. I get the message user profile service has no logon. Help please.
Hello
You can try the following.
Shut down the laptop. Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER. If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore. Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration. When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.
Another option if the above does not help is as follows.
Shut down the laptop. Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.
Kind regards

If you cannot connect to your admin account, no tutorials can help you because they need you to connect to an administrator account to carry out the instructions.
See if the following can get an admin account...
Go to Safe Mode...
Restart your computer > immediately and repeatedly pressing the F8 key until you see a black and white screen. The top/down arrow and select Mode safe mode with networking.
Now, while in safe mode, you perform one of the following?
1 can connect to your account admin without the error message?
If so, do. Then do a system restore. Choose a date when you were free to login to your account admin as your restore point.http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
If the system restore does not slove the problem, then use this tutorial
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215
2. If you are unable to log in to your account administrator in safe mode, you see another administrator next to your account?
If so, you are lucky. This is the built-in Administrator account.
There is, by default, no password.
It could connect and do the system restore. If the system restore is not enough, then perform the tutorial even as above:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215If you can't do or of what precedes, I'm afraid you will have to re - install your Vista.

I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon.
I have an administrative account which is the only account. I have problems with the installation of Autodesk Inventor so I need to create another user to see if I can solve the problem. But when I want to make a new user account and I get the following message: I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon.
I haven't added new programs in a long time and I don't know when this question has been raised as I've had my laptop for 3 years and this is the first time I create another account than my original. I don't want to reset my computer manufactured settings.
I also followed the http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/947215/en-us but I can't find any registry master in the list of profiles. In fact, I am the only user in there...
It seems that my computer does not have a record in the system registry.
In fact, the problem started when I tried to fix the "C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network. Check to make sure that the disc is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If he can't always find the information could have been moved to another location. "I was at least able to connect in the new user but will load a default profile and therefore do not load the profile properly. It seems I've done worse the problem after doing
gpupdate/force
at the prompt as an administrator.
The very initial problem started all this was when I was running from Autodesk Inventor, it gives me the following error: Mismatched Ole32.dll and Comcat.dll. And the support2.microsoft.com/kb/201364/en-us is to say that since I am under Win7, the solution is not applied. So I'm stuck. And the next move was trying to see if a new user profile may solve the problem.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
And if possible, please also suggest a "repair" method so I can get Win7 function correctly without reinstalling the whole machine. "" I use a laptop so I do not have installation media.
Thank you.
Hello
Thank you for your update on the issue.
I suggest that you try to run the file system (CFS) Checker scan to check all the corruption of .dll files.
- Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
- Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
- In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow

Not able to connect to the user account, error: user profile Service has no logon

Original title: need help with setting up an account
Hi Larry,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community. From your description, it seems that you are not able to connect to the user account when you try to connect you get following error. The user profile Service has no logon
This behavior can occur if the user profile was deleted manually using the command prompt or by using Windows Explorer. A profile that is manually deleted does not remove the security identifier (SID) of the list of profiles in the registry.
If the SID is present, Windows will try to load the profile using the profile Image path that points to a nonexistent path. Therefore, the profile cannot be loaded.
To resolve the problem with the user account, you can follow these steps:
Method 1:
(a) click Start, type regedit in the start search box, and then press ENTER.
(b) search for, and then expand the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList(c) right click the SID that you want to remove, and then click on remove.
(d) log on to the computer and create a new profile.
You can also check this link:
Error message when you log a computer Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 by using a temporary profile: "the user profile Service has no logon. Unable to load the user profile.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215Important: The above section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Method 2: Also, see the steps in the following Microsoft article:
(a) error message when you log a computer Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 by using a temporary profile: "the user profile Service has no logon. Unable to load the user profile.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215Note: We strongly advise against making it the standard way to remove the user profiles on computers. Documented and supported approach is using the system advanced settings in the system, "Profiles" settings properties For programs, it is available using the API 'delete profile '.
If the SID is present, Windows will try to load the profile using the profile Image path that points to a nonexistent path. Therefore, the profile cannot be loaded.
(b) how to back up and restore the registry in Windows
