  No other method of downloading doesn't work either; I get the same error message 550.  Somewhere, I did something wrong, but impossible to establish where.

• When you try to start Googe Earth I get the message, "Directx mode not supported.

  Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop, running Windows XP pro service Pack3, Directx9 upgrade enduser DURATION 11, latest video driver from Dell, 32-bit color.  Uninstalled, re installed Google Earth several times.  Cleared cache.  Off 'atmosphere' at GLmode which loads only certain borders of yellow color.  Control internet, found many people having the same problem.  No solutions found for the moment.

  "This can often be solved by removing completely any authorization by using ctrl-shift-D to the library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D on Mac).
