Where am I going to access the the system restore on my Vista "help and support." It has been easy on XP!

Support under XP system quite simply, I went to 'Help and support' clicked on it, and a new screen open and followed the easy prison. Where am I going to access the the system restore on my Vista "help and support."  I just want to go back to a previous restore point.  Thank you!!

Hello

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools then system restore should be visible.

Also, a lot of PC brand have a restore option of the system via F8 at startup, and then click "fix." Useful if you cannot start Windows successfully.

Also you can click on start and then just type rstrui.exe and press ENTER.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

    Hello

You can not access the system from the BIOS recovery.

F8 boot Options is your hope, but you say that they do not work

You need a Microsoft DVD to do a startup repair, or a restoration of the system, thanks to this Guide.

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

  • Windows automatically restarts constantly, cannot access the system restore point, cannot access the computer in safe mode

    Hi all

For the not 24 hours I tried to access my computer in normal mode. When I turn on the pc, it says "configuration data 1 of 3 steps...". 0% complete"he never spent 0% and within seconds, it automatically restarts and starts again. It's so frustrating! I have a windows vista pc (purchased in ' 06). I can only access my desktop in SafeMode.

I tried to perform a system restore, but not like he says "recovery disk is not the restore point selected. What should I do? I tried to manually create a restore point, but cannot access the system and Maintenance, while in safe mode. I can't do anything but literally access the internet. How can I get Windows back to factory settings it is with these limited resources? I have a Dell reinstallation DVD.

I searched my programs and found that recently Windows automatically updated and downloaded "Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer" and "for 2007 Office system Compatibility Pack '. Now, I think it has something to do with it, because they were the most recent updates, before the pc crashed. But I also fear that it may be a virus, which has completely hijacked this PC. How am I supposed to get rid of a bug, if I can't even get the necessary antivirus?

Sorry for the ranting, but it's so stressful when my pc is completely down. Please, please please help me. Thank you in advance for reading this same!

  • Cannot access the system restore

When you try to use the system restore, it asks which file to open it with, which is something that he has not asked before. After that, he does not use the system restore. In addition, Firefox is the same way and I have to use Internet Explorer. Finally, the control panel behaves as if it does not exist.  I don't know if they are related, but they started after my 'sealed' antivirus 'virus' that appeared while Adobe Reader has been updated... I'm completely lost as to what I should do.

First of all, if your anti-virus removed viruses/malware you don't want to use system restore. This is likely to give the malicious software on your computer.

It sounds as if your file associations have been damaged. What makes no sense at all, it is that you are able to open Internet Explorer. Click on the link below. Download the file, save it to your desktop. Right-click on the file and choose merge. Confirm your choice to merge.

It is no longer supported. Pouvez be able to find someone (most
probably on the internet), which still has old stock for sale. You can also
be able to find a copy for sale used (but if you do, be very well

  • I'm not able to access the help and support on my xp based computer.

I have Windows XP Home Edition. I deleted some old programs using Add / Remove button in the control settings.  Also installed an antivirus program.  I noticed that the I help support button is unresponsive and I'm not able to access the system restore.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    2. what happens when you run the system restore?

    Method 1.
Let us first start the sfc scan and check if there are any file system corruption.
    a. to do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    Method 2.
If the problem persists, then create a new user profile and then copy your current users assigning to this profile. For more information, see:
