  I'm new to CS6, although I used to use CS on my old computer. If I open an image and select Image/adjustments/curves (or layers), I get the large graphic on white background I know cs. But if I select Layer/New Layer / curves setting (or layers) and I properties by displaying, I see only a very small, not very convenient to use, version of the graphic on black background. I could not in this situation (i.e. with an adjustment layer) to find a way to make the large chart appear. I would be very grateful for advice.

  You can resize the properties panel is more big by seizing on one of the lower corners and also anchor outside of the main panels properties panel.
