• Canon IJ printer utility - disable auto power off

  The manual on my new printer MG2420 says I can "Disable Auto Power Off" of the power settings in the 'IJ Printer Utility'.  However, I have not an IJ Printer Utility in my Canon Utilities downloaded via a Mac driver.  Where is it, or if not, how can disable power off?  I want all the time.  Otherwise, the printer works perfectly.

  OK, no answers so I'll answer I am since I finally figured it.  On a Mac, go to "System Preferences" and click on "Printers & Scanners".  Then click on "Options and supplies."  Then click on "utility".  Then change the "cleansing" in "power settings".

  Then click on 'Auto Power'.  Then click on "Auto Power On" and "turn off".  Finally click 'done '.

  Of course, the Canon online manual is silent on this.

  Canon either supports their device under a given operating system, or they don't.  Microsoft is not responsible for providing drivers for hardware does not manufacturer or support in any other way.  Who has always (will probably always) fell to those who have actually made, sell and take charge the device in all directions.

  Open AirPort Utility

  Click on the image of the time Capsule

  Click the Edit button in the window that appears

  Click on the menu of The Base Station ... up where you see the icon Apple, file, window, help and other menus at the top of the computer screen top

  I have not tried, I don't have the printer.

  Its usually best to ask the manufacturer of the device for its pilots in the first instance.

• I'm trying to print using my own profile and no color management.   I have found a lead to the Adobe Color Print Utility but reached a point where he declared that she would not work with future versions of the Mac operating system.   I have Mac OS 10,11,

  You don't want or need to use the old setting 'No Color Management'. Is no longer the right way to print with a custom printer profile, in the current versions of Photoshop and OS X.

  To use a custom profile to print, use the attached picture settings:

  • In the print dialog box, set the Photoshop color management menu manages colors.
  • Select your profile to the printer in the printer profile menu.
  • In the settings of printer driver Epson (under Printer Setup button) make sure that the Epson printer driver is set to the color - off management.

  

  I don't know why Adobe Color Printer Utility works in 10.11.3, because I can throw on OS X 10.10 and 10.11.   A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, running on Windows 7 sharing files and printer as above will take care of this for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine. With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. Don't STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE them PROPERLY.

  (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

  C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY the MOST SIMPLE . If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

  Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
  Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

  Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

  E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory.

  F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers.

• Z3200 printer utility

  Although my Z3200 and Photoshop CC shows print custom, the printer utility shows no.  I just installed the latest version of the utility (27.0 6 March 2014).  Operating system is 10.9.4

  I rebooted the printer and the computer and the printer utility says still no custom print media.

  Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

  I you suggest to remove all instances of the printer and then try to install it.

  To remove printer drivers:

  a. click Start, type print management in the search box, and then click print management.

  b. open print management.

  (c) in the left pane, click print servers, click the applicable print server and then click Printers.

  d. in the center pane, right-click on the printers that use the driver that you want to remove or change the driver that is used by each printer to another driver.

  e. in the left pane, click print servers, click the applicable print server and then click drivers.

  f. in the pane, right click on the driver and do one of the following:

  ·         To delete only the installed driver files, click Remove.

  ·         To remove the driver package from the driver store, completely removing the driver from the computer, click delete the Package driver.

  Hi - I have El Capitan and tries to install my wireless Canon MX850 printer. I installed the latest drivers for Canon (11.7.1.0) and put in place the printer in printers and drivers. However, when it comes to test the printer, it does not. The printer is connected via wifi. Router is fine, other computers can access. I tried the fixed IP address - but that doesn't work either. It is simply not to find it. Any ideas?

  This means you enter wrong IP address in the configuration dialog box, you select a communication protocol that does not support the printer or the printer is inaccessible on the network. If you try to use a shared printer from another computer or from a device such as a router, verify that the printer is actually shared. OS X printer sharing could be disabled without your knowledge.
