  What is the purpose of mobile printing solutions if you cannot activate your home printer?

  It is still available in Printers Scanners & via the utilities & Options > utility > open utility for respective Canon printer printer. However, if you have created the printer to help Apple's AirPrint driver, then you won't the utility. To check which driver you have used, open Printers & Scanners and select the Canon. Then in the right pane, look at the marked entry type. If it mentions AirPrint then this is your culprit. You can delete this printer and Add again, this time, ensure that you select the respective gun model in the menu instead of the AirPrint driver, which will be the default selection.

  Remove the cartridges from the printer and then unplug the printer for 1 to 3 minutes, and then plug the printer back. Make sure that the power is connected directly to the wall outlet.   It shouldn't power off during recording, while there might be a hardware problem that requires a repair. Maybe the battery is worn out? How old is the battery?
