  If you have performed an upgrade in place dedicated to Windows 8 of Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010 is still installed and must be localizable/able to work without any problem.  So the link I gave in my original answer which - when visited - explains how to start a Microsoft Office application in Windows 8 * if * Microsoft Office is installed.  Given the trouble you've had so far, I would first try the instructions 'charm research' on this page.
   
  If you have performed a clean installation somehow (rather than an upgrade) - then, you need to install Microsoft Office 2010 again from the installation media.  If it's a download (Microsoft Office), you must either download it again or if all goes well you copied the files/Installer downloaded to external media.  You also need a product key for Microsoft Office 2010 in this case.

  Normally the product key should be somewhere on the restore CD box. Please check.

  Where you installed Office 365 since? Also to have full use of Office 365, you must be online to use all the features of Office 365.

• You need to install MS Office Pro 2007 on new computer after motherboard crashed on the old computer.

  I have a license for MS Office Pro 2007 (US only) (OEM) that came with a new Dell laptop.  The motherboard on the computer crashed and I bought a new computer (Dell no).  Of course, I can't uninstall Office from your old computer.  Can I use my existing license to install/activate the Office on my new computer.  The new computer has the trial version which allows 25 uses.  My product key does not work because it has not been uninstalled or disabled (I guess).

  Your product key does not work because you can not use it to "move" from an edition of the trial and because it has already been used (on the other system).  You must do it manually and I do not know the manual process for Office products.  As an OEM license, I do not think it can be moved to another machine - but if this applies to operating systems, I am not sure that it applies to the Office products (I've never had this issue before).  It may be perfectly fine once you uninstall the trial and download the appropriate version of Microsoft.  You need to ask the experts.

• Geolocation has stopped working in Firefox 24 after update (Win7 64). Downgraded to FF 23.0.1 solved the problem. Even with the other installation of FF to another PC.

  Uninstalling Firefox completely from my laptop and install it again, solved the problem.

  I have not yet tried with my office.

  The laptop uses whereas the ethernet office wifi. The problem exists in the installation of the laptop FF 24 too, so I don't think it was the root of the problem, at least in my case.

• EMac G4 Desktop disappearance!

  The computer is a very, very gently used g4 emac 1.42 ghz, 2 GB ram. HD has 25 GB 79 gb free space. OS X 10.4.11

  Last week my personal office froze on a few occasions that require a start/stop hard - never saw this before. While working, I checked and repaired the disk and permissions of the drive just to be sure. Past.

  On the next day to have no office; just a clear blue screen with a mobile cursor. No menu. Nothing to select. No "BONGS", no unusual sounds of HD, no rattling or complain - just not pale blue screen.

  Stopped and restarted in 'safe' mode '-all right; eMac works very well but with the limits of normal "safe" mode

  Q. where is my office, how can I access it once again, will be what happened to my personal office also reach the mode 'safe '?

  A lot of reading later... things I've done:

  OS X Tiger DVD starting > disk utilities > repair and check the disc and new permissions > some corrections needed and done > PASSED.

  Use of external HD and Macbook Pro core i7 with intention to start test eMac Tiger OS X on an external drive and perhaps clone off existing eMac material before wiping and new OS install acquired.
  Have deleted and partitioned Touro EHD on both eMac and Macbook Pro, as 1 Partition and Apple Partition map and then using OS X DVD tried to load on Touro. Won't - implements the error message saying OS X is 4.7 GB and there is not enough free space on selected external hard drive. There are 499 GB free!

  I don't know how plu eMac lasts and I can't remember what to do for the better – I am a week older and not further on...

  Any help would be appreciated massively. Thank you.

  Looks like the drive to install 10.4 pre - 10.4.6, which does not include 4096 sectors of the new Advanced Format of Byte.

  I would start safe mode & try your current install the external disk cloning... most eMacs can boot from USB drives into the ALT on startup.

  My Notes on the secure boot thing, bolded the 2 biggest suspects...

  One way to test is at the start of the HD, (now shift key at startup), run utility disk in Applications > Utilities, then highlight your reader, click on repair permissions, test for problem in Mode safe...

  PS. secure boot can remain on the gray radian for a long time, let go, he's trying to repair the hard drive & trash/rebuild the cache files

  Reboot, try again.

  If she does only regular boot, then there might be a hardware problem as Video card, (Quartz is disabled mode without failure), or the airport, some USB or Firewire devices, or the module in part 3, Check System Preferences > accounts (users and groups in later versions of OS x) > login items window to see if she or something relevant is listed. Or a stray process eating RAM.

• HP wireless tv connect - rarely a laptop Win 8 links

  I have no trouble to connect my laptop Win 7 or Android tablet to an HDTV using the HP Wireless Connect device.

  Connection occurs very quickly.

  But I have a lot of trouble trying to get my laptop Win 8.1 link to the TV. It comes me repeat it is the link, but it is not a link. Now and then, in retarting or reconnect, I get connection but it's sporadic.

  Any suggestions?

  Ramvoo users on the Windows 8 Forum has found a way to make the work of HP. I used his approach with my Windows 8.1 system and it does not work with either of my SAMSUNG HD TVs.

  It is clearly of a workaround but here go us:

  1. go on devices and printers in Control Panel

  2. in the unspecified section, double-click the HP icon wireless transmitter

  3. click the Hardware tab, click device defined compatible provider HID, then properties

  4. in the section of the general tab, click on change settings

  5. in the driver section, click on disable. You will receive a message of global warming. Answer Yes.

  HP will now be flagged as disabled. Fine. But it will now work.

  When you select later where the project office, use the combination of keys Fn + F8 and choose either expanded or second screen only. Duplicate does not work.

• E3000 and E4200 can extend wireless but when snafu disabled DHCP

  None of the many posts on the extension of the wireless here really solve my problem (I'm not a tech superstar so I need a little handholding).

  Currently use E3000 as my router.  My House is a wonderfully old brick structure with awesome cast thick walls and cool hardwood floors (Yes, I already drilled twice to drop the Ethernet wiring and run it in my basement to the back of the House to come and connect to a switch where is my office to win 8)  Excellent results.

  Now, I'm going to die just to run the wiring to the front of the House under the said floor so that I can bring it and attach a 2nd router. My sister-in-law gave me (just gave me, you the spirit wouldn't let me pay him!) sound E4200 that she can no longer use a reason any.

  Goal: Best performance for a front of House wireless (my bedroom upstairs and the porch on the main floor, where routers are / will be.)  With the additional router in front of the House I will be finally in a smart cable TV.  I must just have better wireless at the front of the House b/c I do a lot of work here lately.* *.

  1. what router do you recommend using as the main router?

  I tried to configure the e4200 (since the 3000 is already) and following the directions on all workstations. I updated the firmware, so the two routers are underway.  My understanding is that I need to put the 4200 (Router 2 "") in Bridge Mode and

  set on the same channel current wireless router 1 (3000).

  2 should I put the 2.4 and 5 Ghz on separate SSID Router 1?  If so, what do the SSID Router 2?

  3. If Router 2 has a separate SSID or should it be identical to my current network, that is, the Router 1?

  4. I understand that Router 2, you must disable DHCP because Router 1 is that work. BUT whenever I do this, in the process configuration, I can't get connected turn it on to Router 2.  I changed the IP address.   Router 1 is 192.168.1.1 with assignments up to 192.168.1.149.   So I do 2 router 192.168.1.2.   Is this good? I do this, then it restarts, and I connect in 192.168.1.2 "page not found".

  5. the way I go about it is:

  -My Office 8 win (I call him Victor, FYI) is connected via a cable (switch) to 1 (E3000) so LAN router and I use to see what my settings are there (and here I'm typing this post).

  -My Win 7 laptop (Richard, FYI), this is where I work on Router 2 (the E4200).  I have cut all connection without wire, then PC cable to Router 2 and connect to Router 2 and from there.

  6. am I correct that Router 2 must be in Bridge mode?  Whatever it is, please teach me - it means I'm setting up to repeat the signal or as a little separate LAN that is connected?  Which is better, in your view, given my objectives, above?  When I'm on 'the extension', it would be ideal to be able to go to the first/main network and send things my printer / PC is there, but I'm willing to put up with less of this in order to get the good signal in my areas of work from the home front.

  Note also that the family and I move and use several devices, so it would be fantastic if me and her husband and son and daughter (think: several tablets, phones, computers laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, blah blah blah in this House - I know, I know a lot more about networks I've always wanted to know!) can just get the signal stronger as we move.

  I recommend using the E4200 as your main router.

  Cascade the E3000 with your LAN E4200 to LAN.

  Cascading 'LAN to LAN' instruction in the link below:

  In waterfall or connect a Linksys router to another router

  Thing to keep in mind when cascading a router:

  1. Change the IP address of the secondary router to something like 192.168.1.254 so its on the same network, but is not in conflict with the main router
  2. Make sure that the DHCP service is disabled on the secondary router
  3. Make sure that nothing is ever connected to the Internet port on the secondary router
  4. Have the different SSID of 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz
  5. Duplicate configuration on routers wireless, but make them broadcast on different channels or put the chain wireless on 'Auto '.

I ran a spyware/malware pogrom, but no help.  I tried the "command Prompt" and %windir%\system32 using the cd but did not work.  I also used a DLL problem progrm difficulty but no help.  I'm running Vista SP2 and have no taskbar, no start menu and nothing shows up on the desktop.  I can get on the internet, but in a roundabout way.  I tried several solution on the Microsoft web site, but no help. I did a restore but no help.  I don't want to lose all my photos and documents HTML if possible.

  Thanks for your reply but I had tried the System File Checker with no luck.  Finally, I replaced the hard drive, because after several attempts, I reached a point where I had the format of hard drive, but the main area where all my data were not could be formatted. I think a virus may have lock me up.
  To date, May 22, 2012 the system works with the new hard drive.
