Where is my photo stream?

How can I request my current photo stream to download photos?

Make sure that my photo stream is on photos on both devices and that you have a good connection.

You can also simply connect your iPhone to your computer, launch the Photos, select the phone in the sidebar, and then import all of the images 'new '. Normally, this is not desirable, as you can end up with duplicates.

If not, give us more information about what is happening.

  • Where is the folder 'My Photo Stream' located locally on a Mac?

    Hi all

I try to access the folder 'My Photo Stream' on an MBA with El Capitan 10.11.3 with the Finder, but can't seem to find anywhere. To be clear, I'm not trying to find my iCloud photo file, unless they are the same thing. My guess is that since the app of my photo stream is an iCloud service, the folder is not actually on my Mac anywhere but straight up into the cloud, somewhere I looked and looked, but the closest location I've seen suggested was " ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub ." which was a few versions of OS X there are and no more seems to exist. Any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you

They are inside your photo library (or iPhoto Library if you use that).

However, you will not find a folder that contains them. The screen you see with albums and moments, etc. is all made up using a database to link photos that belong to the given location.

  • I have to reactivate iCloud Photo Stream frequently

I have to reactivate iCloud photo stream quite frequently. It seams to be the same thing with iTunes, where I have to reconnect frequently to the App Store.

My guess is that it comes after removing all the data of the website in Safari. Is there a way to avoid this?

What have these things to do with the other?

So using my photo stream with Photos?  If you change the stream of photos between libraries you must reactivate, because a library can both use it.

Where your iPhoto library that Library stored?

It is a drive that is not always connected?

  • Pictures of Apple: How disable automatic download to "My photo stream" Album?

    Hi all

I mean I too spend opening Photos. I'm not happy at all pictures, but is not today's topic.

I have a huge library converted to opening in Photos. The process was very long, but everything seems fine now.

My library is 90% of the pictures I take with my DSLR in Raw format.

I started to get mad when I found the photos strove to upload photo I added locally in my library to my photo stream (all in RAW and big, very big JPEG).

At the opening, I had an option to disable automatic downloading in the flow of the photo:

This option is essential to avoid the stream function photo to kill your connection, fill all of your iPad, iphone with pictures that you don't want to share with other devices.

I've looked everywhere in pictures an impossible to find where this setting is hidden:

I'm still very very interested get all the pictures that I shot with my iPhone and iPad synced with my Mac, but whenever I have activate 'My Photo Streal' it starts to download all in the flow...

I can't believe they killed opening so that they also in fact almost unusable Photos for customers migrating from Aperture despite.

Is there a hidden feature or the definition of magic to turn off automatic download?

    Kind regards

    O.P.

    No, sorry.

If you use my photos in Photos to Mac workflow, you will automatically download all the new photos in your library for my photo stream as well.

However, you could work with two libraries of Photos - a library that you use iCloud wist and where you download your iPhone and iPad photos and a second, where you keep your RAW files.  Only, you will need to transfer the photos from your library of photo stream for your main library manually.

  • Flow off photos, but still shared watch photo stream

I don't have photo stream on my phone, but in storage, it is still showing that I have pictures in shared photo streams.  When I am syncing in iTunes it shows I have over 1000 pictures on my phone when I have about 100.

This takes a ton of room.  Any ideas how to solve this problem?

ICloud photo sharing and photo stream are separate. Both are located under settings > Photos & camera.

You indicate that you have not all photos in your camera roll, or in any other albums except the Photo Stream album?

If you have albums on the device that you sync to iTunes, you will need to "UN-sync" them similarly - via iTunes, by unchecking the albums selected under the Photos option under your device in iTunes.

If is the only place where you see pictures in your photo stream, then this process to make sure that you have no persistent "Recently deleted" picture which is not visible due to a problem with the way iOS 8 was recently deleted photos archive:

    1. go to settings > general > Date time & change the date of your manual, and then change the date to 01/09/2014

    2. open your Photos app and click the recently deleted folder to see if you can see all the photos. If you can, select and delete these manually

    3. Once you have removed all, leave the Photos app by double-clicking the Home button and drag upward on the app thumbnail Photos

    4. see if this reduces the storage of your photos on your device

    5. don't forget to change the Date and time to automatic

    Good luck

  • Film vs my photo stream

I tried to move photos from my iPhone to my iMac.  I connected my iPhone to my iMac.  613 photos to import.  Photos of 613 were in my camera.  I have 974 photos in my iPhone photo stream.  What is the difference between the film and my photo stream.  We should I import to save the photos from my iPhone to my iMac and then transfer them to an external hard drive.  Thanks for your comments and help.

Camera Roll is home to these photos taken on your iPhone.  Those are the ones that must be imported.

Photo stream is similar to iCloud photo library and is home to the photos that are already able to share.  They are not necessarily taken on the device that houses.

  • Photo stream not updated

My photo stream on my iPhone is fine. But on my Mac, it has not updated for some time. When I go to System Preferences > iCloud the area of the photo is not checked, same process on my iPhone it is. When I try to check on my Mac it say 'check library' and then do nothing. I tried to fix my photo library was well and no luck.

    Hello, metro0308!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!  From what I understand your post, you have activated my photo stream to your iPhone, but you have a problem, allowing it on your Mac.  Of course, I know how it is great to have your photos of streams available on all your devices, and I'd be happy to help you.

There is another way to turn on my photo stream, then try these steps instead:

    1. Open the Photos on your Mac application
    2. Click on the 'Photos' (top left corner, by the  menu)
    3. Click on "Préférences."... »
    4. Go to the iCloud tab (sign in with the same ID Apple you use on your iPhone If you are prompted)
    5. Place a check next to 'My Photo Stream'

  • How to remove photos from a photo stream on the iPhone, but keep them on Mac?

    Hello world

I tried to find the answer to my question in the FAQ, but so far I've failed. I'd be really grateful if someone could help me.

I have an iPhone (5s) and a MacBook Air (13 inch, early 2015). I have not activated the iCloud photo library, but I use the photo gallery on both devices. Because I often take pictures with my phone, I'm running out of memory space on my phone.

In regards to this and photo stream feature, I have several questions:

    1. If I want to make more room on my iPhone, I have to delete some pictures. Assuming that I do this, these pictures are deleted from my Mac after 30 days?

    2. How can I remove photos from my iPhone without deleting them from my Mac (because I turned on the feature of photo stream)?

    3. If I import the photos from my iPhone in the Photos App on my Mac (when it is connected to my Mac with a USB cable), they are 'safe '?

I hope that my questions are understandable and I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Thanks to all and best wishes,

    Lars

    1. no - as long as you have allowed MyPhotoStream to import photos - if they have not been imported yet then they will be gone

    2. after importation of pictures you can delete them from the iPhone, and they will remain in Photos of the moments / pictures

3 - Yes - but if you import several times, you will have duplicates - you should use USB or PHM import

  • Why my monthly photo stream stopped appearing in Aperture?

I use my monthly picture of opening flow to organize my photos in various opening files, after which I can remove the photo stream to keep things tidy.  March 2016 was the last stream of photos that appeared.  I weekly backup and install all new updates, such as requested by Apple.  Learn how to use the opening was a steep learning curve for me, and I think now that it is more intuitive to use than 'photos '.  I wouldn't think that Aperture is is no longer supported by Apple.

    Any advice?

    Thank you

What has changed since March? What version of the operating system and opening you have?

and unfortunately Aperture is no longer supported by Apple

  • How to reset my photo in photo stream?

    Hello

My photo stream is seriously incomplete, blocking to 160 photos, when there are more than 500 in the last month. I tried to turn off my photos, then again on stream (in System Preferences-> iCloud-> pictures and in Photos.app preferences), but I recover the sam 160 photos.

Is it possible to restart from scratch? Or maybe a way to manually add photos that I would be here to share with my other devices?

Synchronization of my complete photo library on iCloud is not an option (> 180 GB...)

Photo stream keeps only the photos for 30 days.
