Where is my Windows Live Mail icon?

I have this marking my Microsoft Windows Live icon in my taskbar, and now I can't find it anywhere. If I work in a Word doc, for example, and click on send the doc from Windows Live Mail rises. But I can't find an icon to click to get her another way. How can I get my icon back?

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail

Right click on wlmail.exe and choose send to desktop as shortcut.

After you have reinstalled windows 7 where did my windows live mail files go. I didn't backup my files before reinstalling a windows clean 7. If my email folders can be found? a new operating system?

When you clean install, you lose everything.  You can check if backup was performed automatically in the c:\windows.old\ folder, but it is unlikely with a clean install.

But, if you have used the program with a mail server online (such as Hotmail, MSN, Outlook.com or Gmail) then your emails and folders will always be online on the website of electronic mail as a backup.

  • Error with Windows Live Mail Server-4102

My windows Live mail continues to give me a server error - 4102.  My outgoing mail works fine, but my incoming does not come more.

Help needed and appreciated if all next.  Thank you.  Margaret.

    Original title: Server Error-4102

After three days of 'try' to fix myself, I finally called the Smart computer Tech, like taking his monthly magazine and their technical service VERY GOOD.

The only thing I have not done, but it has been reviewed, had to go to

My Control Panel and remove Windows Live Mail, to make it appear as once again.  But the com SM technology. at - it a much easier way.  He went to Windows Live Mail, tools / properties, then deleted my account and added a new one.

It's just to know the right way to take these steps. For me I went to help and Support & typed in "How to add or remove a Windows Live Mail account", and then click.  This will put you through to Windows Live Mail you read on the axes. (I found that I was unable to get to this SITE via my work Windows Live Mail icon on my desktop.) But the consultation through help and support in the type Blue and double clicking it came, giving me the Tools menu, click on it to get accounts, then proceed from there.

Then test by sending you an e-mail.

If all goes well it will help all those, novices (like me) to solve this problem.  Good luck.  June G.

  • Contacts from Windows Live Mail to people App

All my email contacts are on my Windows 7 machine where I use Windows Live Mail.  I bought a second machine running Windows 8.1 and want to copy my contacts from the old machine to the new one.  When I replaced a Vista machine with the Windows Easy Transfer 7 machine has helped me, but doesn't seem to be available in 8.1.  Please help me to start using my new machine.

    Hi John,.

Thank you for your response.  I downloaded Live Essentials and flies over my contacts on a memory stick, so everything is going well at the moment.  By the by, as a Windows user in various forms since 1989, I find version 8 frustrating to use.  If I could find a way to make it look exactly like version 7, I should be a happy chappy!  Thanks again.

  • Where should I contact regarding the functions of newsgroups in Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail?

Where should I contact regarding the functions of newsgroups in Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail?

I seem to have problems with Windows Mail, perhaps caused by the update KB978542 and/or run the program WMUtil.

One of my Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit machines, whenever I try to start Windows Mail, it displays 0x800C0155 error message, then a message saying that he was unable to start because MSOE. DLL could not be initialized.

The other has problems of material type instead: it's a laptop with no mouse and no reliable connection to the internet.

On my Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit machine, I can start Windows Mail, but most local issues have disappeared - only the Inbox is visible.  I already checked that subdirectories for the other files are still present.

All three of these machines have had problems of backups for months and have had no successful backup for the last two months.

I have trouble finding enough information about Windows Live Mail without having to install this program if it could avoid these problems or just make it worse.
