Where the import button?

I'm just starting the trial. I downloaded the sample photos. Imagine my joy when the first thing to do... I can't do! There is no import in low left... just copy or paste button.

What happens if you go to the file menu and select Import...?

  • Where the imported video files are stored?

    Hello

Just changed CPF to PP. I know not to expect differences between the two programs, but I can't understand where PP stores its images in the camera once imported?

In FCP, you set the images to be captured in a Capture folder on a disk to work.

I have imported a lot of sequences now but do not know where the files are stored on the disks?

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you

You must transfer the files from your power off on your hard disk before ingest via the media browser in first.

The only thing that makes the first is links to these files. Also first does not move the files.

They are always in the same place when you place on your computer.

  • Problem importing email files from Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail. Not all the imported outlook express folders are visible

I followed your instructions and now have "storage folders" visible. However that a single user account recorded message records showing if you keep double clicking and scrolling down. There are 3 other user accounts whose records are not visible. I tried as well by importing and using Windows Easy Transfer for all alphanumeric codes in Outlook Express. I signed into Live Mail using the other our of the user, but this does not solve the problem... Please tell us how to transfer files from my old computer Windows XP to the new W7 mail.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

V-2009: open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

V-2011: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

For WLMail 2009: Open list of Contacts in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

For WLMail 2011: Switch to the contacts window (click on the book icon to the address at the foot of the folders pane, or press Ctrl-3). Click on the import button, select address book (wab) Windows and point on where it was saved.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

  • Failure of the import of the LR to LR 2.5 2.5 catalog

    Hello

I have a new machine that is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I wanted to move my catalog from my old machine (Vidat of 64-bit Windows) to the new, I exported the catalog of an external HD.

When I try to import this catalog to an empty catalog on the new machine, the import fails with "Ligthroom could not import the catalog, an unknown error has occurred".

The opens the import dialog box, I select to copy images to the new destination and import pictures and select the import button.

The photos are sorted and then immediately after the display images are imported the import crashed with the message above says the progress bar.

    What's wrong? Any idea?

Catalog is about 150 GB with 55 + photos of K.

    The two LR2 are version 2.5 ACR 5.5 605155 64bits.

    THX & regards,.

    Olly

If you open the catalog from the external hard drive file in LR on the new computer, one of the folders have one? next to them and one of the photos have a: []:? Missing-picture symbol on the thumbnail in the view grid?  Change the external HD drive letter to be the same or different from what it was on the original computer should change if the photos are missing or not.

If you are sure that the export has been working and if you can not understand, just copy photos using Windows Explorer where you want on the new computer and copy the .lrcat using Windows Explorer where you want the file stored on the new computer catalog, open this catalog and do a missing folder find again link the photos to the catalog.

If you are not sure if the export worked, then just use Windows Explorer to copy the file catalog and photos on the external hard drive, then use Windows Explorer to copy the file from the catalog and photos on the new computer and then open the catalog on the new computer and use find the missing folder (if necessary) to link the photos to the catalog again.  If the path to the pictures is identical to what it was on the old computer find missing files should not be necessary.

  • Confirming a design where I need to save where the user navigated to the screen.

A matter of design, which is a good implementation of the following?

I need to be able to save the location of the place where the user has scrolled, then when the user:

    1. Changing screens and returns to the previous screen.
    2. The application farm (moves the application at bottom) and opens the app again (move the app in the foreground).

The user scrolls automatically here where the user was before.

For example, if I have a VerticalFieldManager with the following text read only fields:

    • LabelField
    • LabelField
    • LabelField
    • LabelField
    • LabelField
    • ButtonField

The user scroll down to the third LabelField — two actions user above performs, returns to the screen, and scrolls down to the third TextField again.

Is the hardest part, I can't count on own dirty, muddy, or fields because it is read only the data and a ButtonField.

I can't use Manager.setFocus because the fields have an accent.

I think I can use Manager.setHorizontalScroll and Manager.getHorizontalScroll, but is there a better way?

Not sure that your arguments to change my suggestion.

"The user must be able to close the application."

If they close the applciation that they lose their position.  It happens in most of the applications.  Browsers do not open up on top of the page you were viewing when you close, for example.

"The user must be able to request the application thoroughly using the end key of red color"

You will not be able to stop this.  It will just happen.  Nothing for you to do.

"This is a pile of high display a screen where the Menu button is the main navigation.".

This does not preclude that I proposed either possible.  If you pop a screen and then later push it, my understanding (and experience) are that he's going to be redisplayed as it was when you jump it.  The screens are objects, they don't stop screens just because they aren't on the stack of the screen.

Also, I see no problem in what you descrtibed for a touchscreen device.

  • Import button in LR does not, so can not import photos

This problem just started recentlly.  I touched the import button and nothing happens!  The import screen I expect to see does not appear.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening and what to do about it?

    Help much appreciated.

I did not understand what the article spoke, but he said to restart LR in order to reset the preferences.

The goal was to reset the preferences.

In general, these problems are solved by action sequences, each has more side effects:

    1. Restart the computer. Restart the program. Most of the problems left by then, when they are the cause of some obscure situations. If the problem persists, go to 2)
    2. 'Remove' preferences. Misconfigured preferences sometimes confuse the program. If you can, keep preferences of old, just in case after having invested heavily in the configuration of the software. If the problem persists...
    3. Reinstall the software. It is a measure that is radical, but sometimes necessary to get rid of some strange phenomena. If the problem persists...
    4. Looking for more elaborate solutions.
