Why can I connect and it shows I have the free version/trial

.. When I had to pay $32 + per month for several months for the entire suite or what they call these days?  And support options are an endless loop.  I do Webdesign so long as I in fact have the first version on a disk (a round plastic thing encoded with information) and find it ridiculous.  I can see now why I canceled my subscription when they first went this route.

I wanted to update my email address on my account and had to call someone.  God knows where I found the phone number cause I can't find one now.  The woman who answered (English was not her native language) said that she could not do that, the company could not do.  I said, "but I'll HAVE the e-mail address on file in 2 weeks because I sell my business.  So you need to be able to change it. "And she was able.

But since then, when I went to download the product on a different laptop, he said I've been using a trial version.  And earlier, when I was finally able to connect, it shows that I use a version of "Free".  I don't call $32.46 each month free.

Suggestions anyone?

    It has long been said here that having TWO SCANNERS ANTI-MALWARE's ON-DEMAND is generally a good idea, because it is possible that everyone can find something that the other lack (or more precisely, don't target).

    I have more confidence in the MBAM and it is my main anti-malware scanner.   But I keep SAS autour as well, whereas it is secondary.   [Some people (Joe?) use (or used) Emisoft Anti-Malware among their scanners.]

    SAS scan for the rejected, MMFA does not work.   SAS will find (a lot of) tracking cookies, that MMFA is not at all.   Tracking cookies are text files, and are therefore not the virus/malware themselves.   But they can contain information that can be read by others - and on that basis, some people like to remove them (for privacy).

    SAS also offers a beautiful 'Toolbox' s REPAIR- which, if you happen to need them, can be very convenient to access.   Personally, I believe that REPAIR options to justify keeping (free) around SAS.

    SAS FREE and MBAM are simply scanners/removers, which help cleaning problems "after the fact".   None of the two free versions offers resident protection/prevention "at the front".   Such protection realt-time, you will need to buy one of the paid versions.   in my opinion, MBAM PRO (paid) nicely full no matter WHAT antivirus program you use on your system - it may often catch the rogue/hard malware that "slides" by an anti-virus program. And as the saying goes, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

    Sorry about the long title, but it pretty much says my problem. I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to my Windows7 laptop with the ethernet cable. I have a home network that the wireless laptop works out of. When I go into the control panel network connections section, I can't find the 'Sharing' tab that says that every tutorial I can find there should be. Tutorials can say to go to the screen that shows your wireless connections, highlight your home network and the network to your Xbox and then right click and press "bridge connections". I do not have the option for bridge connections. Can anyone help?

    After having connected the laptop and Xbox with an Ethernet cable, you should be able to enable sharing of Internet connection on the wireless network connection:

    1. Make sure that the two network connections are enabled.
    2. Right click on the wireless network connection.
    3. Click on Properties .
    4. Click sharing .
    5. Put a check mark in the check box under Internet connection sharing .
    6. Click OK .

  • Can I move/copy an ESX Server on the free version

    Afternoon everyone,


    I don't have all the details that I took things upwards, but will my data center no later than next week.  We have a (free) ESXi server with 1 windows host.  This machine is pretty old and I wanted to just bring on new hardware and move.  Of some initial discussions they say I can use a V2V converter or something like that, so the questions are;

    1 - is the favorite/best way to take a running windows server and move it to new hardware?

    2. it is part of the free version?

    I think that will be enough to let me order some hardware, I know there was a limit of CPU, RAM etc.  The machine is a one processor, 12 G of ram so not surprising, I just wanted to put a new quadcore CPU, maybe probably 24 32G of RAM and all SSD.  I don't want to get to a point where I have to spend $1 K on a license to simply keep the existing 1 windows machine.

    There are a few options to move virtual machines from one host to another. One - as you have already said - is to use the free VMware vCenter Converter Standalone, which is probably the easiest option. Another way to migrate the virtual computer would be to export the virtual machine as an OVF/EGGS and import it on the new host. Last but not lease, you can manually download files of the virtual machine to store data from the host ESXi (via WinSCP for example) and upload the file to the new host.

    Just make sure that your hardware is supported for ESXi version, you use to avoid frustration.

    More than likely your MBP has a hardware problem that cannot be properly addressed at an Apple store genius bar.

    You can try to reinstall an OSX, but I doubt if that will be successful.

    (1) your airport WiFi might have a network name that is not in line with best practices, wireless

    A good wireless network name is...

    ... In short no more than 20 characters

    Simple... no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, asterisk, etc.

    Compact, without spaces in the name

    For example, a wireless network network name as... red .dfedoryk Apple wireless network... .is not what you want. Something like... .dfedorykwireless. .. masse are much more likely to connect to non-Apple devices.

    Same guidelines your password

    (2) Apple gives the same name to network 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network that produces double router band.  Some non-Apple devices are confused by the present, you may need to use the option to assign a different name for the network of 5 GHz on the router from Apple. Then, 'point' your device to the network name specific to which you want to connect.

    Http and https use different ports.  Look at your firewall programs to determine if port 80 is blocked.  Temporarily disable the firewall programs, to see if this is the cause.
