  You have all your items on the Master Pages. They are only intended for objects that are repeated on each page of the form. For example, the headers and footers.

  Think of it this way. You form currently is rendered with a white page with the Page master page 1 as a background. All forms must have at least one page. The shape didn't need to make the second Master Page that there is no design n the form pages.

  Right-click on the root node, and then select "insert a new page." Name this "page1". Repeat this step for a second design page and name it "page2". See how I tend to name Master Pages with P capital, but Design pages with a lowercase letter.

  Then copy all objects from the Master Page Page1 to design the page1 page. Do the same for objects on the Master Page page 2 on page 2. Then delete the Master Page Page2, because you don't need this.

  Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

  To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

  A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is. It restarted, and when I open Windows Update, he said the last time I checked the updates has never been (obviously not true), and when I tried to check the updates, it jumped right to the message telling me I have to restart my computer to complete the installation of updates. She continues to do everytime I open Windows Update.   Provide information on your system, the better you can:

  What is your system brand and model?

  What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

  The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

  You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

  If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  What is the problem you are experiencing that you think that sfc/scannow will correct?

  See if the remote procedure call (RPC) Service is running.   If it is not executed, it should run and many other things will not work if the RPC Service is not running.

  To do this, click Start, run and enter in the box:

  services.msc

  Click OK to launch the Services applet.

  Locate the remote procedure call (RPC) Service and see what he says in the status and Startup Type columns.

  I don't know that this is not what you want to hear.  However, from the beginning of your notes, you said that the system was installed with an invalid Windows operating system CD and since you bought Windows XP SP 2, which is the authentic product.  If I am wrong please correct me.

  If you try to run SFC scannow from Windows XP SP2, you will continue to receive the request for the additional CD cover Service Pack 3.

  If you have two options:

  (1) do a fresh install with the Windows XP SP2 and upgrade to SP3 on sites I've proposed below.

  or

  (2) simply download the Service Pack 3 of one of the websites below and use this CD to finish the scannow SFC.

  I think you'd be a lot better off takeing the time to back up all your important documents and files.

  This will give you at least with all the files and informaition about your device drivers that are currently on your system now.  I had the IT Pro version for years and would be with her.  I know that this version provide you all the keys for any product you may have and no password specified for email or the system.  I know that the free version will not provide passwords, but it can provide you with product keys. If you have lost or misplaced one of your applications can be valuable.  Most of the time, you can download the product if you have the key you're in business.

  CD looking for the file system (CFS) checker is the Windows XP installation CD.  If you need a CD with service pack 3, you must combine sp3 with a CD of full installation that includes sp1, 1a or 2.  If your XP CD is 'original' (i.e. pre-service pack 1), you will need to integrate sp2 (or sp1a) first, then the sp3.  Seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389

  A common false positive is a text file called settings.ini which stores the settings of the sidebar. If you have added a gadget or even started it the file will change, because it should remember your settings. SFC foolishly think it is corrupted.
   
  Note that false positives are all files small text based content can change. If it points to a binary file (exe, dll, etc) then it is a problem because the binaries do not change.
   
  If these two commands show nothing, then there was nothing wrong.
   
  The newspaper regularly gets deleted because it is mainly used by Windows Update. So, run these commands directly after sfc runs.

The file contains information about the files that are not repaired by the System File Checker tool.   I run sfc/scannow;  results. resource protection finds files corrupted and managed to fix it. System file repair changes will take effect after the next reboot. but after the restart without change, I run sfc/scannow and files are always corrupt

  system not finish booting and stuck at halfway. Also the programs would not open. I had installed some drivers from the Asus download site. before it began. so I uninstalled it, but no help, then I ran the SFC scan who gave me the message about corrupted files, I ran a system restore and everything works although now I have same re installed all the updates except some Akami download which was also offered on the Asus downloads thanks. for your quick response
