  I found what the problem was.

  I was using the old LR icon on my Doc that opened to the old version.

  I just dragged the new LR icon from the control panel CC. Updated the catalog, and then remove the old icon of LR.

  I am using windows 7 ultimate.  I recently had to reinstall my OS.  Before the reinstall, I had all my icons changed other than the regular folder photos.  I did this by clicking on each icon... TADA!  For some reason, now I can't get that option when I right click on my computer and go to properties.  This is not an option.  Is there something else I should go for it?  Since a few years I did it originally, and I have the little icon that used to be on this issue - I can't put anywhere.

  I found a way on my own since I posted.  For those who want something else have better/different desktop icons for your system on the desktop folders

  right click on the open space on the desk... and customize

  in the left column, there is a selection to change the icons * facepalm * can't imagine how I missed that before.  This will give you a screen context for what you do and don't want on the office and a field to change the icons too.

  I'm completely up to date with CC 2015 and all my applications.  CC does not start.  When I run CC, I get a grey-out icon in the top bar for a moment and then disappears.  Double-click on the application of CC causes it to appear greyed out for only a moment. Too much.  I deleted the data OOBE folder.  No help.  I have repaired permissions.  No help.  I secured started. No help. I have reset the PRAM. No help.

  I continue to receive notifications to open the Adobe updater but that does not do anything.  If I try to re - install CC, it initializes the installer but dies right there.  The activity monitor shows that creative cloud does NOT run.

  I am 10.10.4 running on my Mac.  Any ideas?
