Why is my warranty voided?

Why is my guarantee now considered 'null' only three months after I bought?  technical support told me my warranty was valid and it would cover repairs, but people in repairs are now charge me money!

is this a mistake?  It seems likely.  If anyone has had this problem, and if so how did you solved it?

my friend, I won't even try to type the concise answer to your question here, but if you want a response check my profile and read some of my posts.  I'm sorry to tell you cela, but in a Word, unless it was due to a hardware fault, legitimate and documented your warranty will most probably never be honoured.  I'm sorry.

  • Warranty void installed new HARD drive, but I still have the original?

    Hello

I recently installed a new 200GB Hitachi HARD 7200 RPM drive on my laptop, I know that my warranty will be cancelled, but as I still have the original HDD safe and sound, the guarantee will still defend if say... the technicians were to come round to fix my laptop due to an unrelated issue, but see that the HARD drive has been upgraded; they will always fix the laptop even after I show them as the original? It's a long shot I know, but the 40 GB of HARD disc that came with the laptop only leave me little room after installation of Vista.

At my upgrade COMPLETELY canceled my claim to the guarantee? Even if I just say... come back and install the original HARD drive in my system, just before the technicians come to my house? But that would be the same as if say... I just show the technician the original HDD on arrival while having the HDD Upgrade inside the laptop.

A bit confusing, I know, but I'm in a quandary, because the guys from Toshiba are set to come around my place to watch my laptop under warranty, and I fear that they will fix my phone because I upgraded to a better HD and faster.

Thank you very much, I hope someone answers.

    Hi Mohin

I would like to try to clarify your question.
The guarantee will be cancelled, if you you disassemble the laptop.
I imagine that the laptop was equipped with a HDD slot at the bottom of the unit and you have to delete only one screw to remove the small cache connector HARD drive. Am I wrong?
So in this case the upgrade of components such as the memory or the HARD drive will not avoid the warranty.

But it s a good idea to keep the old HDD that were shipped with the laptop.

    Best regards

  • Why areas filled the void when opening in the Macs?

I can create a form in Acrobat, fill in the fields, activate it for reader, put online for download, and they see very well on a PC in the browser. However, when opened in Mac or iPhone, the fields are empty. Something special I should tell customers to make it work on a Mac? The time now I don't know what application they use to view.

    Thank you

    Steve H

I just did a quick test. I opened the file in Acrobat. Drive and preview on Mac. They are all showed their initially seen content. When I made a change to a field in the preview and saved the file, the contents of the field are not displayed when subsequently opened in Acrobat/Reader. This is a bug of well know preview. In short, overview corrupts the fields, the content is not visible. This can be partially corrected by exporting form data to a file and re-import, but does not cancel all the damage. It makes data visible, however. You can also run a script to actually do the same thing.

You need to warn people, it's not not to use the preview to make changes. Instead, use Acrobat. Player can make changes, and then save the modified document if you apply the document with Acrobat usage rights: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader...

  • Keyboard replacement will void the warranty

    Hi all!

I was redirected by an HP sales representative, who could not inform me on the support forums...

    Here's the thing:

I'm going to buy a new laptop in the online store we HP. I asked sales representatives if I can have the opportunity to replace the American for a Portuguese keyboard layout keyboard layout. The answer is NO, because HP is an American online store and such, it only sells products the U.S. market (obviously with a U.S. keyboard), and they advised me to shop at the Portugal...

Well, the problem is that I use the computer in the United States, which has different electrical outlets and different voltages. Thus, the purchase of the laptop to the Portugal is meaningless for me...

What I need is a cell phone US with a Portuguese keyboard. How can it be, right? Fake! It turns out that this simple change will be difficult and perhaps impossible to obtain. At least by the online store...

It seems that my only option is to buy the Portuguese keyboard separately and install it myself. That said, my question is simple:

Will be the replacement of the keyboard on a new portable laptop computer warranty void?

If so, what are the options I have?

    I thank you all.

    Kind regards

    JPN

    Hello:

Why you can not buy the PC to the Portugal and ordered a US power cord that goes from the power supply?

The power supplies are all the same, no matter where you live.

Check the service manual for the laptop specific you want and order the power supply cord to the United States.

Confirm what I said is correct before ordering (see Service Manual).

I don't know of all computers laptops where you can buy a different PSU.

If you don't know where to find this info, please provide the full model number of the computer you want to buy.

  • My MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo Mid2010 allows 16 GB of RAM? Why Apple says maximum 8 GB?

According to this StackExchange and Mactracker app, my computer can support 16 GB of RAM. If so, why Apple says a maximum of 8 GB? You have a computer of mid-2010, like mine set at level to 16 GB using the latest Mac OS?

My problem is that the two chips of RAM 8 GB I got from Newegg does not 'click' when I tried inserting them (unlike the instructions), and trying to start I got a beep with standby-led which repeats after a few seconds, showing apparently no RAM installed.

It seems to me that either I don't push it far enough (not likely because I don't think that it could be pushed further in all), the chips do not work (I tried my best to often touch the metal parts to avoid electrostatic discharge and avoid touching anything other than the sides with semicircular notches) , or the computer is not grateful.

Is it important that the sticker on the Newegg RAM and the sticker on my RAM from Apple factory-installed are on opposite sides? The brand matter? Should I worry that there seems to be some kind of residue (as you can see when a sticker is removed) on a small part of the bottom-left of 'block' on the underside of each Newegg RAM chip? (This residue, as well as the sticker on the opposite side, I wonder if a sticker has been removed by a new, was placed on it, as if it is being sold as new RAM.) Is significant to the final number, '1066 MHz 151031', ' 1066 MHz 150930' on the Newegg RAM "Warranty void if removed" sticker, or to the plant (or seller) identify the chip?

I enclose photographs showing the residue on the back of the Newegg RAM.

Do you think that this residue is responsible for the MacBook Pro of declaration that there is no RAM installed? Is - this evidence is that the seller has removed a sticker?

  • Dates of warranty

I just checked the warranty on my S10e, wait there about 6 months left, only to find that when it expires in 2 weeks!

Why is - this warranty does not work since the purchase, how is it so that its half expired before I even got the laptop?

Bad form of lenovo, a couple for the quality of mediocre to bad design (fan problems) construction - palmrest ran, "e" out of plastic cover on the cover of the broken lock security and now a workload problem where it doesn't load not 80% of the time because the power supply is defective and the rubber feet have fallen downstairs - very honestly the biggest bag of "manure" ive never had the displeasure of owning.

It was a problem of the dealer.

He/she's right. He was the dealer. they bought computers before you order (warranty starts when they bought) so if you buy the same device, for example three months later, you have only 9 months warranty.

You can call the lenovo support line and extend your warranty. I know it sounds bad, but it's not for lack of lenovo.

Edit: I'll try to find a solution, I'll post it here.

Edit: first call lenovo customer service can tell the issue, no doubt they will be asked to fax or email the tax receipt.

After sending to the reception, check if the warranty status updated.

  • Why override event personalized... and when to ignore it?

    Hi guys...

I still have a question about the substitution of the custom events. I don't know why or how the void inside. I searched google, but did not have too much feedback.

Also, my projects seem to work very well even if I use my custom without duplication event. Someone could it explain? I appreciate if someone can enlighten me upward.

Yes, it is recommended to replace the function clone of the superclass, but you're not really substituting your custom event. Guess I don't say well before. Just google something like 'Flex void clone' and you will be redirected to the livedocs, more likely, where you will find this paragraph

    ----------------

You must override the Event.clone () method in your subclass. The clone() method returns a copy cloned from the event object by setting the type property, and all the new properties in the clone. In general, you define the clone() method to return an instance of event created with the new

    operator.

    ----------------

I have not really thought about this before, but I guess that's where you want to extend your class. Anyway, you can pretty blindly just include this substitution of the clone function and not get into trouble. It is fair to say, hey, if something is faced with this custom event, return a copy of the superclass - event - back a class copy of this custom event that I created to extend the event class to add special features.

  • Screen cracked blackBerry Smartphones

Hi, my (soon to be homeless) daughter dropped her Bold 9900 aged 5 weeks and cracked the screen. I realize I have to pay for the repair, but that is difficult because no legitimate companies say that they can not work on BlackBerry, they will only repair if obtained from them, which includes CPW etc. The place I got it since are not interested because it is not covered by the warranty - voiding the warranty is why I'm not going to take it to a local repair shop/market and contact RIM is impossible.

How the hell can I get this fixed screen and maintain the warranty?

The guarantee went with material damage. You just need to find a repairman.

You can always call O2 and ask them for the repair costs.

  • Re: Tecra S5-15 q: drive HARD password and motherboard dead

    Hello

I have trouble BBBIIIG. A few days ago my s5 tecrca tells me "PCI Express error" and displays horizontal bands. Now, I can not do anythink with this computer (warranty void). Ok.

I have 2 computers one another and when I try use with Toshiba hard drive.
He tells me that the disc hard password is incorrect, but I use it for 3 years per day and never change!
Technical support in Poland is on the ground level. What is with this drive?

What can I do to use my password with MY HARD drive.

    Help, please.

(Sorry my English is not good)

    Tom

I searched the pages of Toshiba for some info about the HARD drive password and found this interesting document:
[What is A HARD DRIVE password? | http://APS2.Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ9202JG0000R01.htm]

[Summary of TOSHIBA HARD drive password | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6B01MC000CR01.htm]

According to the information contained in the two documents of the disk HARD unknown or forgotten password can be deleted.
If you are sure that you are using a correct 100% HARD drive password, then it might be possible that you have entered the password incorrectly. It's the only plausible explanation

  • Satellite M30-604 - mechanical hard drive failure

My satellite M30 604 is guaranteed (bought 10 months ago) and my Hitachi travelstar hard drive crashed unexpectedly. The accident is probably mechanical, so I can't use data recovery software (makes things worse). The only way to get my data is to give the HD a specialist who will open in a 'white room' for something like 300-600 Euros (!) and try to recover as much as possible. Now:

-> Toshiba said that if I do that, the guarantee is void and I will also have to pay for a new disk (100 euros)

-> If I want to replace the disk (warranty) then toshiba Gets the old drive and I lose my data forever!

    WAIT A MINUTE GUYS!

    (a) it's my data, my work and you CAN'T make me blackmailing you with such things 'warranty void. I want my old crushed drive back! I want to try to recover as much as I can! my 10 hour work - someday is here!

    (b) Moreover even if the heads of the drive crashed, my PERSONAL, PRIVATE data are always in the disk and CAN be read with special techniques. How toshiba (or any other company for that matter) asking me to give it to them?

    What should I do?
    What would you do?

    Hello
I sympathize with your problem and can suggest only the following reflections:

    1. the recovery of your data seems the most important factor here. I suggest you to remove the HARD drive so that it can be sent to a specialist to retrieve data are possible.

    2. Since the removal of the disc HARD not not usually involves a broad dismantling of Notepad it should not invalidate the remaining warranty (other than on the HARD drive itself).

3 replacement HARD drive can generally be obtained quite a beneficial one of internet sellers price (check using GOOGLE to a suitable replacement). You can then reinstall your OS recovery CD.

    4. I suggest investing in a bunch of backup software (such as Norton Ghost) to avoid this problem in the future. (I had four replacement hard drives on my Satellite A30 in the past 12 months).

    (2) HOW ON EARTH I HAVE ADD THIS UPGRADE WHEN MY COMPUTER DOES NOT LIGHT? -iv tried to add the bios upgrade latest for my USB... but at the start... it says "error".

A blinking cursor often means that Windows is damaged.

You may need to use your recovery disk NB200 to reinstall Windows.
If you do not have the time to create the recovery disk / USB key, you can order one on the Toshiba site.

You can run Memtest to check the RAM for stability. www.memtest.org

  • Good battery charge for laptop to HP 15-D014tu Intel i3 - 3110M

Hi, I know that this subject has been discussed and there is a lot of information online about this but he simply left me confused.  My question is what is the correct way to the battery of my new book of charge/discharge.  I have load to 100% and then remove the charger and let run to 40 or 50% then reconnect it and then recharge to 100% or, say, 80% (as I read online?)  and here again, remove the charger and let it carry out 40 or 50%?  If this is the case, it seems that I do that all day long (out magazine & back).  Is it a good idea to leave the charger plugged?  I noticed (leaving the charger in) the computer 100% and there remains (said always fully charged 100%) - the old laptop I used would say 90 something % and not charging but this laptop does not seem to do this?  Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

    Hello

New smart charger and smart battery will stop when 100% full. Battery has life, according to the number of cycles (and usage) of load. Sellers quote normally 300 cycles (that's why 1 year warranty). Several batteries will live more than 300 cycles, only to cut capacity. I did a full test for exactly two machines (Dell E4310). One was sitting on a docking station all day, every day, and the second which was not sitting on a docking station. After a year, those who stood on the docking station maintained power over the other. I'll find the results and display the numbers a day.

    Kind regards.

    I have Pavilion dv3-2350ed.

Lately, I feel that my laptop get slower, perhaps because of my RAM is only 4 GB & I have only 50 free GB left on my hard drive also. I can't right now is to upgrade my RAM 8 GB, as it says max 8 GB

    1. What kind of RAM corresponds to my laptop? (HP Support Assistant sowftware it says 4 GB 2 other SODIMM Slots 1067 Mhz Micron)
    2. I think I hv 2 slots, is better to buy 2 x 4 GB or 1 x 8, or whatever?
    3. On the description on HP Forum on my laptop it says max 8 gb, which would be ok if I install 16 gb (2 x 8 GB)?
    4. Is it easy to install the RAM? What is the risk? (I know about PC its just plug 'n play)
    5. If I install RAM by myself, my laptop warranty void?

    Thank you very much

    Hello:

Here are my answers to your questions...

    • What kind of RAM corresponds to my laptop? (HP Support Assistant sowftware it says 4 GB 2 other SODIMM Slots 1067 Mhz Micron) A: you have 2 x 4 GB PC3-10600 memory, since you have a model dv3-23xx.
    • I think I hv 2 slots, is better to buy 2 x 4 GB or 1 x 8, or whatever? A: you have 2 slots, and yes it's not serious. The max RAM per slot is 4 GB.  8 GB in a slot will not work.
    • On the description on HP Forum on my laptop it says max 8 gb, which would be ok if I install 16 gb (2 x 8 GB)? R: NO.
    • Is it easy to install the RAM? What is the risk? (I know about PC its just plug 'n play). R: Please read Chapter 4 of the repair on the link below. Ease of installation depends on your own ability. After reading the section on removing the memory and replace, you can decide for yourself how it's going to be easy.  Properly installed compatible memory is just plug and play.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01998025.PDF

    • If I install RAM by myself, my laptop warranty void?  R: only if you physically break something during the process.
