  My friend has a Blu - Ray burner that is packed with PowerProducer 5. They have installed on their PC 32-bit of Windows Vista. Its HD files AAC audio camera mp4 video. The audio does not work in the environment creation of PP, or burned discs. I downloaded all the codecs. The audio works fine in WMP and QT, as well as in Windows Movie Maker. Installed the same software on my Windows 7 computer and audio works very well.

  I have contacted Cyberlink, makers of PowerProducer, and they said that the limited packaged version of the software does not support the AAC. They suggested that upgrade to the full version for $50. Obviously, I'm not quite confident in this response.
  Someone has an idea of what might be past or have suggestions of what to try to fix the error?

  I've upgraded my HP Pavilion G6 2242sf to Windows 8.1 and the sound quality is not as good as in Windows 8: Control Panel in the equalizer Dolby works but switch the Dolby Advanced Audio check box has no effect, so there is no more virtualization surround and 3 effects 'Movie', 'Music', and 'The voice' don't work anymore.

  OK I tried a lot of IDT Audio Driver version and I found one that works correctly with Windows 8.1: the 6.10.6482 version. Here are the questions I lived on other versions of this driver:

  6.10.6425 to 6.10.6466 : Dolby effects working correctly, by speakers is good, but in the headphones sound is not "strengthen". Equalizer does not work.

  6.10.6491 and more : Equalizer works but other effects dolby (Surround virtualization, Volume Leveler, etc.) does not work and the sound from the speakers of the laptop is low (even at 100%).

  If you have Dolby Advanced Audio V2, 8.1 Windows on your PC and you meet one of these questions, the 6.10.6482 driver is the best for you, because all the features (virtualization Surround, Volume Leveler, equalizer, etc.) works.

  HP so please update drivers download pages... Ex: 2242sf drivers page, it is only the IDT 6.10.6425 driver for Windows 8.1 while the 6.10.6482 is available on other sites.

  recently I went on vacation... sound computer works very well before I left. Came back, and now the sound does not work.  I checked all the settings and it says everything is working. I've done some research and there was only one window to come when I rebooted that says a file with the extension dll is not found.  So I restored by computer back to before I left on vacation, but still no sound.  No pop up with the dll is not found though.  I went in the "maintenance" section and found it seems to be a few questions audio below is the scheme which is the filler.   I use a laptop HP Folio 9470 m... Last week some update was installed to win 8 and after that my audio is not working properly. Every time when I need to play a song or a movie, or watch something on the Internet, I need first logout, then after logging in first, I need to open the drive. Other wise the audio does not work... Whenever I check to test the speakers, it shows its used by another application, but there is no application by using the audio device. I checked all the drivers, and everything is right in there... But I don't understand that either the app using the audio device in the background... I even reconfigured my system, suspecting it was a virus. But after installing the operating system first two days, that it worked fine, and then a few updates got installed, now return to the box starting... I can see the updates which has installed, but cannot identify the one which may cause this disorder...

  One, any help is deeply appreciated.

  07/11/14 - the problem is caused by the updates of security KB2964736 and KB2965788, which has turned off the sound from the speakers and output microphone of my VAIO laptop, as well as all the features in iTunes.

  I was able to determine that, because now, I manually install updates after the last problems caused by automatic updates. Having discovered this problem, I did a system restore to before the updates to get my sound back, then I manually created a restore point individual for each update before installing. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process, but I could locate the defective updates that I've now hidden so that they will not download on my laptop.

  07/12/14 as a result of writing the earlier yesterday, all sounds had again been disabled when I started my laptop this morning. I did another system restore before installing updates security yesterday (KB2965788, KB2939576, KB2964736, KB2957189) AND my sound back. I've now updated iTunes with the latest version in the hope that this stops the residual fault caused by security updates and I will keep you informed.

  First of all, make sure that the Windows audio service is running on the computer.

  a. open administrative tools by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Administrative Tools.
  b. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  c. right click on Windows Audio serviceand then click Properties.
  d. under the general tab, next to startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
  e. also make sure that the service is started

  Method 2:

  If there is still no sound after you enable the Windows audio service, then check out the link below and run the troubleshooter and check if it works.

  I see there is that the antivirus installed on the computer could not detect infections. To ensure that the computer is clean, we can run a thorough scan using Windows Defender in offline mode.

  I suggest to download Windows Defender Beta offline to a flash drive, CD, DVD or USB and then perform the steps.

  The articles explain how to create a disk and run the scan.

  NOTE: the program must not not to be run / run from the office.

  Some games play on this laptop, UN-fun wildtangent excepthe and hpgames of himself. I played games on my desk with the lower Setup and they work better. But this pc doesn't even start the game even with this good config. is it not useless. I know that is not a cell phone game but God, his is not even how much I paid for this thing.
  I recently installed AC3 and it can't handle the game. His old problem of gel has just begun.
  Also my touch screen does not work. ENGG HP had came and lol that guy did a reset. I coud do it at home.
  I just put all my frustrations here after seeing this POP2T is not compatible after all the config.

  Prince of Persia 2 Thrones just may not be compatible.

  I recommend that you choose a laptop with specs higher next time, which should relieve your frustration. Your laptop current is fine for basic computing, but was not designed for many games.
